Boca Grande Club Beachfront 2 BR/2BA Just 50' from the Ocean
- Minimum stay:N/A
- Internet:Yes
- Pets allowed:No
- Wheel chair accessible:No
With beaches just 50' away this 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom beachfront condo is pretty much as close to the ocean as you can get on the island of Boca Grande. Facing west this property gets all day sun with spectacular unobstructed views of the Gulf of Mexico and stunning sunsets throughout the year.
This is a ground floor corner unit that provides a lot of privacy and quick and easy accessibility to the beaches. There are only 2 floors in this building and only 16 units so privacy and quiet are virtually guaranteed all the time. The 1400 sq ft unit has central AC, humidity control, an accessible thermostat, 4 ceiling fans and is carpeted in the living, dining and bedroom areas and tiled in the bathrooms, kitchen, entrance and lanai. The dining area seats 6, an eat-in off the kitchen (with a nice view of the tennis courts) seats 4 and there is 3 stool bar off the kitchen. The master bedroom has a king bed, multiple sets of high thread count 100% cotton sheets, a connecting master bathroom with heat lamp, and windows and a lanai all along the Gulf side for spectacular views of the dunes and the ocean. The guest bedroom has twin beds, a ceiling fan, a wall mounted flatscreen TV and is adjacent to a 2nd bathroom. The kitchen has full appliances and comes compete with all eating and cooking utensils. There is a washer/dryer in the unit, and the living area is spacious with a wall mounted 42 inch Sony flatscreen TV with full HD programming and a DVD player.
The property is part of the Boca Grande Club. Amenities offered include the 'Upper Deck' casual restaurant, a more formal 'Clubhouse' restaurant at beach level, 3 pools with the main pool offering complimentary towel service, a 'Tiki Bar', a hot tub and poolside lunch and drink service. There is a newly renovated fitness facility offering private training and massage, 8 clay tennis courts (3 can be lit for night play), 2 tennis pros from November to May, a small retail tennis shop. Beach chaises and beach umbrellas are provided as part of the Club services. Programs offered by the Club include Circuit Training,Yoga, Aquatics, Zumba and Bridge. Club staff are courteous and knowledgeable and will happily provide advice on local restaurants, shopping, golf, fishing (Boca Grande is the tarpon capital of the world), and other activities in the Boca Grande area. The Club also rents bicycles and golf carts(4 and 6 seaters) which are both excellent ways to explore the island. Wireless Internet service is provided throughout the property at no extra cost.
Boca Grande (more formally known as Gasparilla Island) is only 7 miles long and is located off the southwest coast of Florida north of Naples and south of Sarasota. It is part of the 'barrier chain' of islands that includes Sanibel and Captiva. Connected to mainland by a short tolled ($6) causeway and a manned swing bridge what makes Boca Grande unique are its miles of white sand beaches and its tranquil and relaxed Old Florida feel: no high-rises, no malls, no traffic lights and no neon signs. Yet despite it's small size there is a great little town on island with excellent shopping, galleries and several very good restaurants. This is a higher end island with property values ranging from $400,000 up to $15 Million. It is a spectacular getaway location.

Seven pristine miles of windswept beach. This in itself is reason enough to fall in love with Gasparilla Island. We walked several miles everyday in perfect temperatures, being kissed by heavenly gulf breezes. We observed a manatee and schools of fish off the north point, drank wine by sunset and had to drag ourselves indoors at the end of the day. In a word, : this is paradise. The Boca Grande Club was not only a spectacular location, but the amenities provided everything you would want to insure a perfect family or couple's vacation haven. Mack the owner, was professional, anticipating our needs, providing directions, offering suggestions of things to do and places to eat, came through with an impeccably clean accommodation with tasteful decorating, and even a bottle of wine upon our arrival. He was quite remarkable in his desire to provide my crew with a great experience. The club itself provides a concierge who brings your umbrellas and lounge chairs in at sunset. There is an adequate workout facility, well maintained tennis courts and a lovely pool with tikki bar that sits right on the beach and overlooks the gulf. We ate lunch at the Boca Grande Club restaurant overlooking the gulf. The menu includes healthy fare. Gasparilla island itself oozes charm from the restaurants boasting fresh catch of the day, the fabulously charming Gasparilla Inn, the lighthouse, no traffic and a golf cart path which runs the length of the island and is the preferred mode of transportation. We rented bikes one day, a golf cart the next, all at the office of the Boca Grande Club. I vacationed with my daughters, one of whom is expecting a baby this summer. She was delighted at the privacy provided on this island's beaches, particularly on the north shoreline near the club. So if you're looking for a fabulous location, a great facility, and the nicest landlord ever, then look no further. And you know what??? It had been 20 years since I had been to Florida because I had never found a beach town I liked!!! This place shattered my expectations.Recommended for: Families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

The condo more than met our expectations! The furnishings are lovely, coordinated, colourful and up to date! The beds were comfy, the linens fresh, the water pressure great, the kitchen well equipped and the view from the screened in porch area was gorgeous. The location of the condo is close to everything which was important to us as we did not want our mother having to walk far to get to the beach or the pool. We enjoyed the club .... did two Yoga classes, three aqua fit classes, kayaked, used the gym once(to nice weather to stay inside)plus lots of beach walking. We even saw Dolphins swim down the beach...so beautiful! We loved having delicious Pina Coladas from the Tiki Bar by the pool! One of our favourite dinners was grabbing a Lobster roll from Newlins in town and going to a beach for a sunset picnic...THE BEST! Our second best night was at South Beach Bar and Grill where we had Gouper and delicious Ribs while enjong the sun set! Of course we were there to soak up some sun on the beach which was easy with the club lounge chairs and great beach umbrellas which the club supplies and will set up. We visited Gaspirilla Inn for drinks which is gorgeous...a must see! Overall this place was prefect for a relaxing and bonding getaway. Just what the Dr ordered!Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.

My wife, daughter and I stayed at this perfectly located beachfront Condo for 2 weeks. We very much appreciated the peaceful walks on the beach hunting sea shells and spending hours just relaxing and listening to the ocean. The Condo was very well maintained and the quality of the furnishings and houseware was 5 star. The screened in deck was a wonderful place to start the day with breakfast and finishing the day playing games as the sun set. The owners were the perfect host and made us feel welcome from the start. We look forward to a return visit.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers.

My girlfriend and I planned a girls fishing weekend for Tarpon and stayed at this amazing property on Gasperilla Island. We were very pleased to have found this amazing place to stay which was very well maintained and steps to the beach. The condo was BEAUTIFUL and truly made us feel as if we were at a spa.... We enjoyed peaceful walks on the stunning beach, amazing sunrises and sunsets.and of course the amazing Tarpon fishing. The condo was very clean and VERY comfortable. I had the master bedroom and felt as if you were sleeping out under the stars.. Views were amazing.... we are planning on returning next year and hope that we are able to stay at our home away from home again... The owners were amazing and wonderful to work with... I highly recommend this condo for anyone who wants the true experience of what a vacation is meant to be... Peaceful, fun and sun.... Thank you, Allison NussbaumerRecommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

We just returned from our first trip of what I hope to be many returns to Boca Grande and this perfectly located beachfront condo. I stayed with my wife and two sons ages 12 and 13. The unit and club are just as advertised and exceded all of our expectations. Clean, comfortable, private and well maintained. Walk out the door of the screened patio and a few steps later you are on one of the most beautiful and quiet beaches that we found perfect for walking, shelling, snorkeling, fishing and just laying back relaxing in the sun. We rented a golf cart from the club that we used to get around the island. This was a big hit with the kids as well. The owners were the perfect hosts and made us feel welcome from the start. We are already looking forward to our next stay.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.

If you are looking for a relaxing vacation, this is the place to be. We were 4 girlfriends staying in this beautiful two bedroom condo in Boca Grande and were pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and friendliness of the staff at Boca Grande. We stayed (5) nights and loved being located right on the beach - wonderful to fall asleep to the rythm of the ocean at night. We ate breakfast in the screened-in patio overlooking the ocean. The beaches are beautiful and you can walk for miles - all beaches are public. Lots of beautiful shells and we were lucky to witness a few weddings on the beach. As my girlfriends and I lead very busy lives, we opted for a relaxing vacation in Boca Grande. The pool is very nice and clean. We rented bikes - best way to tour Boca Grande. We also played tennis - the Club will lend you rackets and the courts are located a few steps away from condo. Courts are well maintained. There are good restaurants in town - recommend supper in the gardens of Third Street Cafe and lobster rolls at Newlin's. I highly recommend this condo in Boca Grande.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.

This wonderfully equipped Gulf Front condo with a great view of the Gulf of Mexico was an amazing place to spend our family vacation. The gated property, all the surroundings as well as all the facilities were first rate. We took full of all the swimming pools, especially the one with the Tiki bar, the health club and the tennis courts daily. The beach was beautiful, fun for shelling and walking along and the ocean crystal clear. We highly recommend this property and already booked for next year.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.

My husband and I just returned from 2 weeks at this lovely apartment steps from the most magnificent beach. The apartment is beautifully decorated and well equipped. The Boca Grande club has many amenities including pool, tiki bar, beach chaises and umbrellas. The town is charming and seems like what Florida would have been years ago before strip malls. Great restaurants and shops as well! You cannot go wrong at this wonderful apartment.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

The Gasparilla Inn View on map
Now in it's 97th year the Gasparilla Inn is part of Historic Hotels Of America. The Inn has a great Old Florida feel to it and drinks in it's bar at dusk is a fantastic way to officially end daytime activities before slipping into dinner in town. Part of the hotel property includes a Pete Dye designed 18 hole golf course running right along Gasparilla Sound. Not to be missed!
