Escape to the Italian countryside in this 4 bedroom, 4 bath Tuscan villa in the Huntington Complex of Palmetto Dunes. Positioned on a calming lagoon, each room with its own water view, it is just steps from the beach.
Burnt orange walls, dark wood, and colorful Italian landscape paintings fill the living space of this villa. Plush sofas face a mounted flat screen TV/DVD. Access a back deck that overlooks a serene freshwater lagoon complete with a stone top table and umbrella for 4.
The living area spills into the dining room with a luxurious round glass topped table for 4. It is accented by a tiered wrought iron and glass chandelier. Peer into the kitchen from a suede cushion bar stool that pulls up to the tiled counter. The light stone counter top kitchen overlooks a screened-in porch. This second deck area also looks out to the lagoon and has a table with seating for 6.
The downstairs Master Suite features a colorful floral theme and warm colors throughout. The King bed, spacious dresser and LCD TV fill the space. The private bathroom has a granite double sink vanity, Jacuzzi tub, and walk-in shower, all redone in 2011..
The second bedroom features 2 twin beds accented with charcoal tones and dark wood. Just outside this bedroom is a full Bathroom with shower/bath.
You will find a cozy Loft area on the second floor, overlooking the main living space of this villa with sofas and a TV. Skylights illuminate this area with shades that can be drawn if necessary. A second Master Suite is just off this area with an elegant ivory rose print King Bed and TV. A Private Bathroom features a separate sink vanity space and has a bath/shower.
The final bedroom has 2 bunk beds, providing 4 twin size beds. This quaint space is a great retreat for the kids of the family. The room has a private bathroom with bath/shower. Every room in the villa affords expansive views of the lagoon.
Huntington complex is a very serene and relaxing area to stay. You are only a few steps away from the beach. Your surroundings are a canopy of trees, mostly live oaks, that have plenty of winged visitors. The pool is heated Oct, Nov, March & April; the hot tub is heated year round, except for the month of January.
Palmetto Dunes is a 2000 acre oceanfront resort that reaches from the 3 miles of white sandy beach, through 11 miles of lagoons, 3 golf courses, and 25 tennis courts, to the bikeway under highway 278 that provides access to the Shelter Cove Marina, shops, restaurants, and Mall.

Why the Owner Chose Huntington Villas
Hilton Head has been in our blood stream for over 30 years, which is when we first visited, and so far we haven't found a cure. It didn't matter where we lived; we always came back. Different times of year, different locations, but always in Palmetto Dunes, the "plantation" where our villa is located. Hilton Head has all the necessities and most of the amenities modern living requires, but it furnishes the hidden needs all of us harbor. The sunrise, dolphins in the surf, the eagle on a current of air, or the 18 holes just ahead. Priceless!
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
Our villa is a refuge, a place to go for renewal and peace. Its airy and spacious living areas, bathed in abundant light, make the prospect of doing nothing genuinely appealing. On the other hand, if recharging requires activity, there is the beach, just steps away; golf, 2 or 3 minutes around the corner and the same for tennis, where we provide 2 hours of free tennis daily. For those for whom shopping is an antidote, the island is full of quaint boutique opportunities; or the covered mall, or the outlet malls. Dining prospects are diverse and numerous, from the hamburger and pizza to original seafood presentations to the familiar steak dinner. One of our favorite locales is the harbor at Shelter Cove, accessible by bike for lunch or at sunset for dinner. Whatever you choose to do, be aware that this property has one drawback: time flies!
Owner's Map of Huntington Villas
Much of what we enjoy from our North Carolina home we can find in abundance at our lovely Hilton Head home; golf, tennis, biking, and the simple enjoyment of the day. Some other things are reserved to the times when we are in our villa on the island, such as the beach and the ocean. The third member of the family, our dog, thinks the beach and the woods are both top notch! He really doesn't care! It just depends on where he happens to be at the time. So do we.
