Escape for the weekend or plan a family vacation at our private log house located in Knights Valley between Napa and Sonoma, world-class wine regions with hundreds of wineries, outstanding restaurants, and farmer's markets. Amidst it's mountain surroundings, our property is only 4-miles from Calistoga at the north end of the Napa Valley.
Wake up to the fog rolling through the Oak and Pine trees. By the time you've made coffee, the sun will be sweeping over to the patio off the kitchen. At night fall into beds with luxury linens, and look out at the stars. Though it's private, you can easily grab locally roasted coffee and breakfast just minutes away in Calistoga.
Our log house, often called "The Lodge" by guests, is custom decorated with four bedrooms. Three bedrooms are located upstairs with fabulous views - one has a king size bed with a seating area and two bedrooms have queen size beds, one of which has its own bathroom. The fourth bedroom is a studio just off the kitchen. It has a king size bed, its own bathroom, a seating area and a small deck overlooking Franz Creek and the forest.
The well appointed kitchen is complete with everything you need to prepare a gourmet dinner - all you need to do is pick up local ingredients during the day. You'll be all set to make large scale meals to celebrate holidays or special occasions with your family and friends. Start with appetizers on the patio and move inside to toast the day with a great feast around our extended dinner table.
For larger groups, we have a nearby property that can be rented in conjunction or in addition to this property. Please see VRBO property #286730. It is set in the middle of the vineyard and is the original 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom farmhouse, with an adjacent 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom cottage, pool and bocce ball court.
Fly direct to the Charles Schultz Sonoma/Santa Rosa airport from Seattle, Portland, Los Angeles, or Las Vegas on Horizon Air. Walk off the plane, drive 25 minutes to this private, yet very conveniently located, wine country estate, and you'll be ready to start your vacation - unless you decide to go wine tasting along the way. Alternatively, you may opt to fly into San Francisco, Oakland or Sacramento Airport and drive approximately 2 hours to the property.
