This century old farmhouse greatly exceeded all of our expectations. It definitely has the charm of a farmhouse. From the decor to the small town setting it was the perfect place to relax and share some quality family time. From the comfortable beds to a kitchen that has everything a cook could desire...the owner had thought of everything to make our stay relaxing and comfortable. Picture in your mind a cozy bear's den where a mama bear can raise her cubs in warmth, safety, and free from distractions...this is the feeling you get as a guest in this house. But the real adventure and fun begins when you step outside. Just stepping off the porch I was giddy with excitement and wonder. This is truly a fisherman's paradise. There are numerous world class fishing opportunities just a few miles away. Whether you desire to fish the large rivers or lakes, or hike down along small creeks in search of your perfect fishing hole, you have it all. After my early fishing trips the family piled in the car for numerous adventures. The first day we made the beautiful drive north past Henry's Lake up into the mountains and entered into West Yellowstone. We saw amazing wildlife and geysers galore. The next day we went to a place called Bear World about 20 miles away from Ashton. This was a great experience. For a really affordable price you can get right up next to bear cubs, deer, peacocks, goats, and pigs. We also got to drive through the park as many times as we wanted to view adult bears, wolves, elk, moose, and bison. Later, towards the end of our stay we drove south west towards the Grand Tetons and took pictures. The highlight of our trip was tubing down the river on tubes that the owner provided and stored right in the garage. I will never forget the laughter and sheer joy on my children's faces. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience. Thank you to the owners for opening your home to my family. We made unforgettable memories.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.
