  Sunrise Glory is the perfect name for this beautiful, peaceful, and comfortable abode. Every morning we woke up to the most wonderful sounds of paradise. In this open concept, clean and extrememly comfortable home the rooms open out into an oasis of trees, and fragant flowers. As we lounged by the pool or sat on one of the three patios we were surrounded by costa rican birds, hummingbirds, and array of glorious butterflies. Another fabulous aspect of this house was its closeness to many spectacular beaches, cozy restaurants, and a grocery store. It is a rare find to have a house surrounded by beautiful jungle foliage with so much privacy, yet be within a quick drive to quiet and glorious beaches. This house is the best of both worlds. After an exhilariting visit to the ocean the best place to retire was with the cool mountain breezes of Sunrise Glory.

  There is a magical place, between the earth and sky ... Sunrise Glory .. We watched the world go by. You will instantly find yourself decompress as you are lured into the ever changing vistas of the mountains. Your senses are heightened by the intoxicating smells of Ylang Ylang and the sounds from the rainforest jungle. For one short month, we spent endless days drinking in the sultry beauty of Costa Rica, using this beautiful home as our base. Lynne and Andrew, our gracious hosts, were such a support, and we can't thank them enough for sharing their exquisite home and lovely country.   We have recently returned from an amazing vacation spent in a home most hardy Mainers only dream about! Sunrise Glory is a beautiful gem nestled in the lush paradise of Costa Rica's rain forest. High above the town of Dominical, this truly glorious and very private residence is the ideal spot for travelers who want to experience the stunning flowers and exotic creatures of Central America without leaving the comfort of pristine accommodations. Never having been to Costa Rica, my husband and I relied on stories from friends and travel guides to plan our trip. Along with all the exciting opportunities we anticipated, we expected to rough it. We expected challenges with our housing. We expected to struggle with the language. Happily, what we experienced instead was an ideally maintained and beautiful home, (that we really hated to leave for a new adventure every day), equipped with all the toys and paraphernalia we could possibly need to enjoy daily trips to the beach, explorations to the nearest towns, and daylong jaunts to several beautiful national parks. We welcomed a swim in the sparkling clear pool every day, always the perfect temperature to complement the gentle mountain breezes. A cleaning service kept the house immaculate and a gardener unobtrusively maintained the extensive yard and gardens. All the flowers and wildlife we expected to see in Costa Rica were actually in our very own yard. Perhaps best of all, the people who maintain this gorgeous hacienda and the people who work in the stores and services in Dominical and surrounding towns are warm, generous, welcoming folks who transcend the language barrier with wide, beautiful smiles and dancing eyes.The people we met embraced the opportunity to make us feel as welcome as possible. Additionally, the home owners supplied an extensive and detailed notebook of all the information a visitor could possibly need to find beautiful beaches, excellent restaurants, and the markets that supplied food and spirits to embellish our vacation. We highly recommend this property. In fact, we are telling our family and friends that we have found Shangri-La!

  We had the pleasure of staying at Sunrise Glory with Doug and Melanie Mitchell in February 2011. We agree wholeheartedly with everything the Mitchells stated in their review. Sunrise Glory is a slice of paradise ! The owners, Andrew and Lynne are wonderful people who made our stay even more enjoyable than we could have imagined. They have a beautfiul home with all the amenities located on a gorgeous property. Nothing compares to waking up to a beautiful sunrise in the morning in the mountains and spending the days at the nearby pristine beaches. Returning later in the day to cool mountain breezes and a pleasant dip in the pool with a glass of wine is a treat to embrace. Thanks again Andrew and Lynne for everything but most of all for becoming our good friends. Jim and Sandra

  There is no possibility of any pictures being taken that can truly define Sunrise Glory! This would be impossible. The house is beautifully equipped with everything you need. The rooms are all large and open. The bedrooms each have their own full bathroom on the 2nd floor. Each bedroom has its own balcony which look out to a view that can only be imagined.The house is spotlessly clean and the property was immaculate. We picked pineapples every morning, along with bananas and mangos. Our breakfasts were fresh fruit extravaganzas. We were a short drive from many beaches, a horseback riding tour to a secret waterfall which included both breakfast and lunch, Hacienda Baru Rainforest and canopy tour that was exciting and informative and a day long boat and snorkelling-Scuba tour to Cano Island Forget the fact that this place is a virtual paradise. Forget that the beaches we were a short drive from were spectacular. Forget the gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. Forget that the ocean temperature was 90 and the air temp not much different.Forget that we had rain for 1 hr. one night of the 28 days we were there The best part of our trip was meeting and getting to know the owners and their family. Lynne and Andrew, and their daughter, Kate and boyfriend, Nikos were fantastic hosts and stayed a short walk away on the same property. They were a great resource for us as to restaurants to go to, places to see and things to do. They started out as month- long landlords and ended up as lifetime friends. Sunrise Glory is a piece of heaven and we look forward to returning.

  This is a perfect place to vacation. I have stayed at Sunrise Glory a few times now and have completely fell in love with it. The wildlife is amazing. There are lots of beautiful birds and butterflies. You'll also find monkeys and sloths hiding in the trees. The house is secluded from others, keeping it very private and peaceful. I am looking forward to going back for a month in April. If you enjoy relaxing, watching wildlife, beautiful sunrises and only minutes from the beach. I would definitely recommend staying here.

  You know from the moment you first drive up the mountain road and into the jungle that you are about to arrive someplace special. Sunrise Glory is truly a tropical paradise. Perfect for the vacationer who wants to get away from it all but still enjoy the benefits of the surrounding beach community. My husband and I celebrated a lovely 10-day honeymoon along side the toucans and resident sloth. You can't get much closer to nature and in a gorgeous modern home. You'll find yourself jumping out of bed in the morning to enjoy the amazing sunrises. It's best to have a 4-wheel drive vehicle as the road is a bit bumpy on the way in, but it's well worth the trip. We'll definitely return.

  We stayed at Sunrise Glory over the Christmas holidays and had the most wonderful time. The wildlife is spectacular. We loved the peaceful nature of this home. Coffee in the morning watching the birds, monkeys, and sloths and cocktails in the evening doing the same. We just had a blast. Perfect for photographers. Would recommend this as a great place to vacation. Wonderful beaches in ten minutes.
