Loved staying at this studio! I have never stayed any place so clean and well stocked for such a reasonable price! And I loved the bright and contemporary decor. My favorite part was the shower with the rock tile, so creative! The cafe located on the first floor served tasty beach style food and was so convenient. It was nice to be able to order room service or to sit on the rooftop patio. On the patio we were able to take in the breath-taking mountain view while enjoying our food and sipping a glass of wine or beer. Although the cafe was very casual there are plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance in the Nob Hill area. Nob Hill also has great shopping available with fun & eclectic shops. Gaye was wonderful and very accommodating; always willing to answer any questions we had. It is a great place to stay and enjoy Albuquerque's urban life style and we will definitely be staying here again!

The Studios were designed to be the perfect space to lodge simply but at the same time having what you would need if you decide to eat in, rather than eat at the local restaurants. Cute studio but NOISY

This cute studio is well-appointed and has all the amenities one could want. It is close to UNM's campus and the great restaurants on Central. It was more spacious than the pictures make it seem, and was a very clean and comfortable studio. The thing that you cannot tell from the description is that it is sandwiched above and below a noisy BAR and restaurant. The noise continued all day, but was particularly bad in the evenings and night. It didn't just come from above and below, though. The stairs between the restaurant's two levels goes right in front of the studio door, so people were constantly tromping right past the door. One rude person even tried to open our door! As we tried to get our toddler to sleep, we would hear loud voices and what sounded like near-constant furniture being moved around above us. I wish we had known about the noise before making our selection, since we were traveling with a child. If noise doesn't bother you, this is a nice place. But if you're looking for quiet, you will want to look elsewhere.

The cafe is an added advantage to this studio. We have had other couples with children stay who have not mentioned the sounds and have loved it here and are return guests. Below this studio is the cafe's office and above on the 3rd floor is a loft that is rented out...perhaps that night they held a party on their private patio. The stairway is used by the cafe and the other studios, so it does have others passing by. Leaving an "apartment or hotel room" door open will invite an inquisitive passerby in either setting. If you visit Albuquerque again and are looking for a quiet tranquil place to stay with a private entrance and a lovely outdoor living area and not in the busy city hub of historic Nob Hill; we will give you a 10% discount of our newly listed Casita: http://www.vrbo.com/409651

The Best VRBO has to Offer

We have rented 10-15 apartments through VRBO over the years, and this is the best we have ever seen. The location can't be beat, with dozens of options for dining and eclectic shopping, the price is very reasonable and Gaye is a delight to work with. But the apartment itself is the star of the show. Beautifully remodeled, with incredible attention to detail, it is decorated in a funky decor, with newly upholstered, multi-color painted thrift store furniture. It has an ultra-modern feel. The kitchen and bath are both well equipped and beautifully decorated. Everything in the place is coordinated to go with everything else, right down to the paper napkins on the table. It seems more spacious than the pictures make it appear. The welcome wine and snacks were a nice touch. The rooftop patio has great views. You can have a meal, or just bring your own glass of wine up to relax. The way up went right in front of our door, and we did hear some foot traffic in the evening, but it stopped before bedtime, so it was not a bother. This is just a fun space to be in. Gaye has two other apartments on VRBO in the same building, and I would love to stay in each one, just to appreciate the different decors. This is simply the best.

We spent 3 nights here and were extremely pleased with everything. The location is great. Close to UNM and an easy walk to Nob Hill shops and restaurants. The cafe downstairs offers a variety of choices. Everything we tried was very good. They have roof top seating as well which was fun. Our unit looked just like the photos. It was extremely clean and well decorated. Gaye, the owner was helpful answering questions in advance of our arrival. She even met us earlier than the usual check-in time as we had an afternoon committment. We highly recommend staying here.

Nob Hill is a great place for walking to shops, bars,and restaurants and this is the perfect place to stay! The rooms are fully equipted with all appliances , dishes, and everything you need to warm leftovers or cook from stratch! The decor is modern, eclectic, and spotless! The large showers have pebble floors! The murphy beds are really comfortable and the linens are quality. The flat screen TVs have cable and there is wireless internet. If you don't want to go out for meals the restaurant downstairs has great food and beach music! Enjoy eating it on the rooftop patio or just sit up there and enjoy the views! Gaye, the owners is great and has thought of everything you might need. I wish we could have stayed forever! The perfect place for romance (there are fireplaces too) or to stay and explore Albuquerque! Worth every penny! I highly recommend without reservation! You will have fun!

We cannot imagine a nicer place to stay! It more than met our expectations. We especially appreciated the personal greeting, the helpful information that was provided, and the welcoming goodies - good coffee for our first morning, a bottle of wine, and special chocolates. The location was perfect - Nob Hill is a vibrant neighbourhood with great restaurants and amenities. It is also conveniently located - close to tourist attractions and our favourite golf courses.

Vacationing Couple

My husband and I were doing a 5 week trip across the western states and decided to see if we could find an apt in the Albuquerque area for 3 nights, versus staying in a hotel. We found this apt right across the street from the University of New Mexico. We love college communities and this fit the bill! It is very professionally decorated with a fabulous contemporary flair, and even more spacious than it appears in the photos. It had everything we needed for our stay, including an espresso and coffee maker and a fabulous bathroom with a beautiful stone floor rain shower. The apt is directly above a restaurant, however don't let that concern you. The restaurant closes at 9 pm and the owner and his staff will even deliver food to your unit (you pay separately of course). We ordered breakfast and it was great. They are a very friendly staff and there is a great patio deck on the roof! Gaye, the owner, was fabulous to work with and she even gave us a bottle of wine and chocolate, plus a 1 day pass to a local health club. By far the best rental we've had so far and we have used this service many times. It was very relaxing and the area is very walkable to very good restaurants and an urban trail behind the university.

Not only did we find the accommadations to fit our every need we found our host Gaye Roth to be a very thoughtful proprietor. The extra touches, ground coffee, wine, snacks, etc. linen were all well thought out. When by accident I left a travel phone book with several important contact #'s Gaye was quick to have it Fedexed back to us in a day. Anyone wishing to stay here is guaranteed a delightful stay with nearby great shopping, and while we only had breakfast at the Bailey we both agree that the staff was personable and efficient.

The studios were every bit as nice as they look in the photos. Coffee on the rooftop deck was a treat every morning and the place was stocked with everything we could have asked for. The location is perfect and there are several nice lively restaurants within walking distance. There is a restaurant onsite and while we never had the chance to eat there the staff was extremely friendly and the menu looked excellent. All in all a fabulous stay!

We were very happy with the accommodations. The unit was clean, comfortable and matched the description and photos. The owner was helpful and offered tips for things to do in the area.The location was great as well, situated between the university and Nob Hill. There is a bus stop right outside the door and we made frequent use of public transportation. There was a great selection of restaurants all within a few blocks. The roof-top patio was a great place to sit and relax, and we found the owner and staff at the restaurant downstairs to be friendly and welcoming. We would definitely recommend this property to friends and would stay there again.

Well located very clean and spacious property. Ideal also if you have kids. Found it very central but still quiet during the evening. Every convenience found close by especially good places to eat. Parking was at front door or very close by. Would stay here again without ANY hesitation.

This was a great stay as we love to experience neighborhoods. We didn't use our car once and were still able to see the sights. We even took the train to Santa Fe. Walking out the front door for dinner to so many great little cafes. My new manta for retirement is to live in a place like Nobhill, being able to walk for what I need. We tried room service with the cafe below...that was nice. One night in. The people at the Studios Nobhill are super efficient, helpful and friendly. We will be back.

Nob Hill Studios: Luxury and elegance in Albuquerque hot spot for a reasonable price

We booked 2 rooms for 2 nights. The rooms are fabulous, clean, well appointed and very modern. The location cannot be beat. You are a block from shops, restaurants, art galleries etc. The rooftop patio is a wonderful place to have morning coffee. Check in was easy and the service was marvelous. If you are going to Albuquerque for any reason, give this place a try. You will not regret it.

The perfect getaway

The studio apartment we stayed in was very bright, open and had all of the comforts of home. The description was very accurate, very clean and very well maintained. Nob Hill community is very friendly and you feel comfortable going out at any hour of the day. Many varieties of food and shops at your doorstep. The owners, Gaye and Roy are both exceptionable people and were very helpful with any questions we had. We both enjoyed watching the sunrise and sunsets over Albuquerque from the rooftop deck. We will be returning in the future and highly recommend this awesome retreat to all.

We weren't sure what to expect, having never been to Albuquerque before but the Studios Nob Hill was the PERFECT place to experience the city for the first time. All the amenities and comfort of a hotel and the rooms are easy 3x the size of a standard hotel room. It was private, perfectly clean and felt like our own vacation home. We wouldn't hesitate to come back anytime. Thanks!

Overall I had and extremely positive experience at the studios. I felt at home when I was there and very comfortable. The area was great, as it was in walking distance of many great restaurants and shops. Unfortunately I missed the opening of the restaurants below but I can only imagine that adding more greatness to this place.

I wanted to tell you and Roy that our stay was wonderful and the place is fabulous. You guys thought of everything. The inside is so beautiful. The sheets and towels were great. I loved the bathroom tiles, the shower and the sink, Very stylish and elegant. The kitchen is functional and beautiful I did not cook, but the coffee maker is great. I might suggest an automatic turn off for the coffee maker. The flat screen tv and the euro fireplace were enjoyed during our stay. I loved the fresh flowers and treats you left for us. Very generous and appreciated. You made a small space work so efficiently. It was great visiting with our son and we loved the location of the Nob Hill Studios. I can't say enough nice things about your studios. I am very glad we found you, it made our trip even more memorable. Thanks.

This contemporary studio has everything you could ask for. It was clean and very artistic. Roy and Gaye were superb. We had a great time walking to coffee in the morning and to shopping during the day. Our son who studies at UNM loved having us so close to his dorm. We will definitely stay here again.
