This lovely looking apartment was clean and newly renovated and located near some of the best north shore beaches. There were two negatives. The loft was surrounded by windows which if kept open in the morning, the shades would bang continurally making sleep difficult. The roosters and chickens crowing as well as the neighboring dogs barking often kept us up in the early morning. And the large king-size bed had no mattress-cover, so by the time we woke up, the sheets had slipped off and we ended up sleeping on the bare mattress which hygienically speaking was probably not such a good idea. But, despite this, we had a good time!

Owner response: If you are looking for clean, modern accommodations while you visit Oahu's North Shore then the Pupukea Loft is perfect for you. While it is set in an upscale neighborhood versus a hotel setting, sometimes the nosies of dogs or other animals can not be avoided. The relaxed-home-like setting which is open spaced and full of fresh air versus a quiet air-conditioned hotel room is what guests find appealing. The windows in the loft keep it nice and cool with the crisp trade wind breezes that make Pupukea the beautiful part of the island that it remains. While other parts of the island are hot, the gorgeous trade winds that keep Pupukea cool are a benefit. The blinds can be adjusted to any height to avoid any movement from the breezes. The windows make you feel as if you are in a tree house and give plenty of natural light and reveal the breath taking views of Mt. Kaala and the amazing ocean and sunset view from your private porch. The issue with a mattress cover has been addressed and the brand new plush king size mattress is covered properly to ensure a comfortable nights sleep. The Pupukea Loft is affordable, yet modern, clean and accommodating to give you a safe, and pleasant stay. Located minutes to the best beaches and with views to enjoy while away from the beach. Thank you for choosing the Pupukea Loft for your vacation!
