The term Shiloh means tranquility, peace, rest or wholeness. Shiloh by the Sea has been built with love and a desire to bless and refresh you and others. The ultimate place to rest and find peace for your souls, it is the place that will seemingly stop time long enough so you can reflect and meditate on the things that are important in your life. Come enjoy the sound of the waves, feel the salt on your skin and see a whale or two migrate.
The house sleeps 16 people in beds. The upstairs has 1 King and 2 queen beds with all linens plus a blow up aero-bed. Each bedroom upstairs has its own bathroom.
The downstairs has 1 queen bed with linens, 3 sets of bunk beds, 1 trundle and 1 roll-away bed plus 3 foam mats. There are 2 bathrooms downstairs.
We just put in a new Hot Tub! Take a Soak and listen to the Waves!
There are 4 bikes to use, (anyone 16 and under must have their own helmet.) There is a fire pit out front, bring your own wood or bring up drift wood from the beach.
There is a bar-b-que for out door grilling. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking. A wide variety of movies, games and books are available to enjoy, along with a 4 square and hopscotch painted on the asphalt, hula-hoops, a volleyball net and a basketball hoop out front. Just a short walk to town and a stones-throw to the tide pools and beach area.
We have a spotting scope and binoculars to catch a close up view of the sea mammals frolicking in the waves.
If you are a storm watcher, Shiloh is the place to come. You'll have breath-taking experiences watching the sun set in the evening or a full moon in the morning.
The ultimate family place to enjoy one another and have fun.

The Unique Benefits at this House
we can walk to town, or just mosey down the beach access road to the tide pools and sand---we have a gorgeous view and love the sound of the frogs in our neighbors pond next door---we can sit on the deck and enjoy a cup of coffee or a drink and hear the sound of the waves crashing on the rocks---occasionally we get to watch the whales migrate either north or south---the atmosphere is totally relaxing
Just 1 1/2 mi south of us. Encompassing approximately 2700 acres of land, the Cape Perpetua Scenic Area boasts twice the botanical mass, per square acre, as the Amazon jungle in South America. Twenty-three miles of trails include views of both seashore and forest settings. From the Cape Perpetua Viewpoint, visitors can get a full view of the area below, including the many tidepools, the Spouting Horn, and the Devil's Churn.

We love the ocean! On our second anniversary we found Yachats thru word of mouth. Though we had honeymooned in Florence, we usually ventured south instead of north. We were pleasantly surprised when we stayed in Yachats and kept coming back to visit over the years. We got the children raised and thought we would like to own and eventually live on the Oregon coast. We drove down every street between Newport and Florence for 2 1/2yrs looking for something we could afford. Finally our realtor showed us this piece of property, and the cable guy took us up in his bucket to get the view from a second story and we were hooked. We came over every weekend from Bend to help with the building. That summer of 2006 a whale 'our whale' just stayed straight out from the house and rolled in the waves. It was a very exciting year. It was not our plan to build quite so large but we are glad we did. We have enjoyed many retreats and family gatherings at Shiloh by the Sea and have made many new friends and acquaintances because of its location. Yachats is a fabulous area of the Oregon coast.

My husband and I have stayed at Shilo by the Sea on three different occasions and will keep going back again and again as long as they will have us! This is a sunny and bright beachy home with LOTS of room for everyone. We especially love the large master suite with great view. All 3 bedrooms upstairs have their own baths as well as a guest bath in the living area. Everything we need to prepare and enjoy great meals is included except the food! We can't recommend this home enough especially for a large family gathering. The owners have taken pride in making their guests' stays fun and comfortable.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with teenagers, people with disabilities, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+.

Our family rents a house on the Oregon Coast every year. We love this place as it accomodates all our grown children and their families. It is well equipped and very clean. Beautiful view out the livingroom and bedroom windows of the ocean. Great tide pools close by. The location is the best, being right in the middle of the coast line you can easily venture north or south for day excursions. Loved everything about it! We have gone the last two years and have booked again!

I hate to leave this place. The bunk beds, the balcony, the waves crashing against the rocks. This place is wonderful. Thank you so much for sharing this with us! It was so fun! Every morning we got up and sat on the balcony and watched the waves. S.L My favorite part was the bunks. Me and my sister and cousins all got to sleep on top of a bunk. Also its nice you can walk to the beach! K.L
