A beautifully preserved 18th century Priory situated in the centre of the sleepy medieval village of Cabrieres d'Avignon in the Luberon National Park. This historic house has been owned by the same French family for over a century and who have lived in the area since the 14th century.

The Priory has comfortably cool, spacious rooms with attractive Provencal ceilings and original tiled floors. All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, except two which share a bathroom (perfect for two adults and two children). At the front of the house is a landscaped garden with flowering shrubs, stone statues, olive and Tamarisk trees, a shaded stone dining table and garden chairs with sun umbrellas for additional shade. To the side of the house, right next to the kitchen and beside the pool, is a shaded outside dining patio with table and chairs perfect for alfresco meals.

There are two entrances to the house - one from the Place De L'Eglise (church square)with it's 14th century church and the other to the side of the house where a private drive leads to shaded parking for a number of vehicles.

Walking distance to village shops and restaurants. Short drive to the famous Luberon villages, excellent restaurants, vineyards and many local attractions to suit adults and children alike.

                        This property is amazing. We were there for a week. The decor in the house and attention to detail was magnificant. It was clean and well maintained. We all had an amazing time at the house and in the quite village. We could walk to the butcher and grocer. There is a restaurant across the road which has lovely food. The surrounding villages in the area are fantastic and there would often be a street market on somewhere. There are also plenty of wineries to visit not too far away. We would highly recommend the property.

                        Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, girls getaway.

                      The Unique Benefits at this House:
                      Cabrieres D'Avignon is a peaceful mediaeval village with honey-coloured stone houses, narrow streets, a 13th C castle (privately owned), original wash houses and old wells. In the ancient centre of the village is an excellent butcher, baker and grocery shop. The village has two excellent restaurants within walking distance of the house. The biggest advantage of staying in our village is that it has the charm of the Luberon villages but without the number of tourists!
