Kolohala studio is a peaceful place to enjoy your tropical vacation. Great for honeymooners! It is on a side dirt road, not on the main highway. It borders a beautiful meadow with horses and cows. You can walk to the beach in about three to five minutes, depending on how fast you walk.
It is a downstairs studio homestay, The upstairs part of the house will not be rented while you are there, it is left empty for when the owners are visiting the island. There are maintenance people (gardeners, cleaners for upstairs, etc) that may come to do upkeep from time to time. It is a beautifully landscaped yard, with tropical plants and orchids, and other flowers. The studio has been remodeled and upgraded and is very clean and comfortable.
It has a complete kitchenette with 2 burner hotplate (no oven), microwave, coffee maker, toaster oven, BBQ, and all dishes and utensils as well. There is a queen size bed, futon couch, DVD player, cable TV, wireless internet access, full bath with tub & deluxe ceiling mounted rain shower, tropical outdoor shower, and use of laundry room. There are beautiful granite counters in the bathroom and the kitchen. Sleeps 2 maximum.

My wife and I spent six wonderful days at the Kolohala studio. It's close to Hanalei, Princeville, and all the great North Shore beaches, yet far enough away to make you feel like you're really getting away from it all. The cottage has everything you need for a relaxing vacation and it provides great views of mountains and open space.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This is a wonderfully appointed studio rental with a gorgeous backyard and location in general. The home is very well maintained with a beautiful updated bathroom. A perfect place to stay while visiting the North Shore!Recommended for: Adventure seekers.

We stayed only two nights in this studio and wished we would have reserved it for longer! This is a beautiful studio, immaculately kept. Nice homey feel and close to many, many fun things to do on the North Shore. We will be staying here again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We had stayed at the studio about 4 years ago and decided to return on our current trip. The studio was clean and the surroundings beautiful, just as we remembered it. Very peaceful with the pasture all around, and the mountains too. We did feel the studio would benefit its guests with some updates: gas grill, new bed, coffee maker and a small stove.Recommended for: Romantic getaway.

My partner and I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in Kauai. The accommodations were comfortable and clean and the studio had everything we needed to make our trip enjoyable. Plus, we loved hanging out on the patio watching the horses and cows! The studio itself is well situated on a quiet street that is a short walk to the beach. I would stay there again in a heartbeat!Recommended for: Romantic getaway.

We had a great stay here, was super quiet...the red head birds and the horses and cows in the backyard. Lime tree and huge frogs in the grass at night. 5 minutes walk to ok beach, 20 minutes or so walk to Tunnels. The outdoor shower has warm water piped to it so we usedit for most of our showers. Perfect after a salty swim in the ocean.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

My husband and I loved this property! It was in a perfect location, very private and, yes, just a short walk to the beach. The studio is beautifully decorated, spotless and very comfortable. Our two favorite things were the sweet, very friendly horses in the wooded meadow and the fabulous "Rain Shower Head" that is ceiling mounted in the lovely bath inside! Our son and family live in Kapa'a, so we will be back! Mahalo!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.
