Condo is a few steps from the private beach for the resident and renters of Castillian.
Sarasota is a wonderful cultural centre with botanical gardens, world-class museum, good shopping, wonderful restaurants, opera, symphony, aquarium and beautiful beaches.
Parking is covered and near stairway so it is not necessary to use the elevator. Unit is on the second floor.

I am very familiar with Longboat Key and all it has to offer and knew that the location of the Castllian on the Gulf side of the island was a terrific one. So, when I saw the listing I didn't delay in making contact. The location can't be beat. The Gulf and beach are only steps away and the Castillian also offers a nice size pool and tennis courts adjacent to the beach. The condo association provides beach chairs for guests, a most welcome amenity. Because this is an end unit, it has lots of light and the large balcony overlooking the Gulf and beach off the master bedroom and living room is an added advantage. All of the rooms and baths are very generous in size and having an eat in kitchen was a welcome plus. I did have family and friends to stay during the month and the unit was well supplied with everything we needed. Having an in unit washer and dryer as well as WiFi made life easy. The owner left lots of local information regarding dining choices and suggestions for activities and spa services. Longboat Key has lots to offer, Armand Circle is a short drive away, as is downtown Sarasota with all it has to offer. I love Longboat Key and Sarasota, so I am prejudiced. The owner was great to work with throughout. She was easy to contact and provided all the information and directions necessary for a smooth arrival, stay, and departure.Recommended for: Girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, age 55+.

About the owner: I am from Toronto, Canada and have been coming to Sarasota for 35 years. It is a wonderful place full of culture and many activites to keep one busy.
