  I booked the house for a four night guys fishing and scuba getaway. The house set-up made this very convenient and everything turned out exactly as advertised. The best part of the of the trip was what wasn't advertised, which was our on site property manager Crazy Eddie. To say Eddie took care of us is an understatement. Not only did he meet us at the airport, he took care of our golfcarts, luggage to the house, all our excursions, and gave us sound advise on restaurtants to eat. In fact, he and his wife came over to the house on our last night and prepared a lobster feast!!! Best meal of the trip.

  Stayed at Villa Twin Dolphins mid January. Loved the place! It has what I understand to have one of the largest pools on the island. Coffee on the beach in the morning then a dip in the pool before venturing out was my kinda way to start the day. This was our second time staying here and we were not disappointed. We were with a group of 10 with ages ranging from 18 to 55. Worked out perfect because of the separate entrances for most of the rooms. Loved the murals in each room, they were just beautiful. The care taker, known on the island as Crazee Eddie, and his wife were more then we could asked for. Making sure to have transportation arranged for us as soon as we flew in with Ice cold Belikin Beers waiting for us as soon as we stepped off the plane to arranging cave tubing and snorkeling trips for us. ( last time we visited Crazee Eddie arranged for us to get dive certified using the pool at Villa Twin Dolphins, what a fabulous experience that was to be able to do everything right there and then do our open water dives at the reef!!) To have such a beautiful place to stay and not have to worry about how to make arrangements for our excursions was so wonderful. We felt like we were truely at home in paradise!

  Awesome! We had a wonderful time at Villa Twin Dolphin. We had 10 people for this trip. We had plenty of privacy with our own entrance with a private bath. There was a lot of space in the kitchen and living area with all the amenities. The pool is wonderful. Clean and relaxing. We spent every morning at the pool and then ventured out to explore the island or the water activities. We spent time searching for hermit crabs and shells during low tide and even spotted a sting rays right in front of the property. Eddie, the caretaker helped us book snorkeling, cave tubing, private dinner and made many recommendations for restaurants and night life. For the water activities, they picked us up right at the dock in front of the house. With no neighbors, we had plenty of privacy but it's still a short ride into town on the golf carts. Lots of fun. I'd have to say the chicken drop and swimming with the sharks toped it all. Definitely recommended.

  Clean and well maintained property. The concierge (Jimmy) was helpful in setting up activities, and prompt in dealing with issues in and around the house. The pool is a good size, with a deeper area. The kids had a lot of fun in the sandy area. A few drawbacks: there is only one living area which can be a factor for larger groups, especially with kids. Also, 4 of the rooms are separate from the house (part of the same structure but must go outside to access the house through patio doors. The pier (which is actually not on the property) is in very poor condition with several missing and/or loose decking boards. Finally, the house itself has the sandy area, with a retaining wall dividing it from the ocean making the ocean more for beachcombing than for playing. But this is common throughout the island. Other than that, all the restaurants were good - Caramba's, Elvi's, Joe's, and others. The use of golf carts on the island makes this very unique and enjoyable. We did our diving through Ecological Divers and had good service all around.

  We had a great time, the villa was ideal beacuse we had our own bathrooms, it was very spacious, very private, close to town but far enough to enjoy, swimming pool was a plus, our caretaker helped alot and took very good care of us, we were very safe, people were wonderful. This is a great place to stay.

  My name is Anup. I recently got back from Belize and we stayed at this house. The house was perfect. we had our own swimming pool, kitchen, grill and bedrooms. There were 5 of us. We like to have a lot of fun and are very loud when we get together. We didn't have to worry about neighbors since there were none. Jimmy, our guide and landlord, was great. He took us everywhere we needed to go. He also took great care of us. I would recommend anyone going to Belize to stay at this location. It is a beautiful country and there were enough excursions to us busy like snorkeling, cave tubing, RTVs and also visiting the Maya ruins. Belize City is only a 15 minute plane ride away where some of the excursions were located. I can't say enough about the house and Jimmy. I highly recommend staying at this location.

  We just returned from a week rental from the Villa Twin Dolphin. We had three families, with 13 total, mostly teenage girls. We all had a great time. The teenagers and adults loved the pool/deck area. We spent a lot of time watching the sunrises & sunsets. The location was great for us. It was far enough away from town to be quiet, but close enough by golf cart to get what you need. Jose was always checking in on us and asking if we needed anything. He was always willing to help. One of our friends, who has been to the island many times, visited us and commented that Villa Twin Dolphins was the nicest rental, with the best floor plan that he had seen on the island. Activites were great. We spent time diving, fishing, bird watching and visiting the Mayan ruins south of the home. We had a beach barbeque, and evening camp fires. Everyone loved it and we all hope to return to Belize soon.

  My stay at Villa Twin Dolphins was so enjoyable I am already making plans to return! I have rented many houses around the world and can say the accommodations suited all our needs nicely. I visited Villa Twin Dolphins with a group of adult couples. The Villa provided ample private quarters for all. With private entrances to all the bedrooms, the huge, beautiful bathrooms, and outdoor sitting areas adjacent to each, it worked out perfectly. We started out holiday by picking up our golf carts at the quaint little Maya Air, if you call in advance the golf cart companies will have the carts waiting upon your arrival. The golf carts are a fun adventure in themselves.. We were greeted by Abel the house caregiver. A very nice, helpful young man. Everything was as it was discribed in the ad. The pool, decks, palapas, outdoor, swim up bar everything was clean and beautiful! And don't forget the views from the house, gorgeous!! We did not experience any of the problems the previous renter had had. The house was very nice, clean and comfortable. We didn't have any fly problems. I am not sure but maybe that has something to do with the time of year and or weather?? I am not sure the house is compatible for very small children and babies. But for an older family or group of friends it works great! We used some of the owners recommendations in the house book. And I must say we were all very happy with our excursions and adventures. Not to mention the cooks and massage therapists we used a couple times. (the massage ladies would be waiting at the house for our dive boat to return to do our massages) That was heaven.. We had a number of divers in our group. We could not have been happier! Eddie picked us up right at the pier in front of the house and took excellent care of us. Fantastic diving!! Some of the people in our group provided us with dinner caught right off the pier. That was fun too. I personally love the people and flavor of San Padro and Villa Twin Dolpins. It is a lovely place to kick back and enjoy life, the house, some music, a dip in the pool... For me my very favorite memory is sitting out side my bedroom on the upstairs deck with my morning coffee overlooking the the ocean and waiting for my dive boat to pick me up. I would and do recommend Villa Twin Dolpin to anyone that would like a nice place to spend a holiday/vacation.. Our Thanks to Dave the owner, for sharing your Villa and making everything so enjoyable!!

  My finance and I went to Twin Dolphins on Feb 2 and stayed for 10 days. I don't know what this Rick J from Chicago is upset about because the house was emmaculate. Tile floors everywhere, beautiful bedrooms with queen size beds, a bathroom in very room, walk showers, and great pool for swimming or just wading around.I went fishing on the reef with a local guide and caught toms of fish with my fiance. You must scuba dive or snorkle out at the reef. The fish swim right up to you and they are huge. Gruper the size of labradors. The pier is missing planks but it's a city public pier which I found out they have to fix every year due to the hurricanes. The people in town are extremly friendly and almost everyone speaks English. The night life starts around 9pm and goes on for a long time. Restaurants galore whcih should suit almost onyone's palate. Lot's of menu's and brochures on coffeetable at the house to help you make up your mind. The caretaker Abell is extremly helpful and friendly. He'll tell yo where the best vegetable stands are, and which supermarkets have the best prices. This was the best vacation andost relaxing time I have ever had. I am definately going back next year and highly recommend this home.

• HORRIBLE CHOICE!!!!

  My late wife and I rented many homes across the globe over the past 40 years. When she passed away from cancer last August, my children and I decided we wanted to spend Christmas together away from painful memories. We chose Belize, because we heard so many wonderful things about it. And, indeed it is a lovely destination. However, Villa Twin Dolphin is simply awful. We spent 3 hours there before the horrible stench that permeated the house and the infestation of flies made it impossible to stay, and we were compelled to vacate and move elsewhere. In addition to the gut wrenching odor and constant bombardment of flies (fly swatters were conveniently left on what passes for the living room sofa and flypaper strips hanging from the ceiling fan), this property has no usable beach, old and broken appliances that are disgustingly filthy (you would not even want to get within ten feet of the stove it was so stained and caked with rust and mold and dirt, plus the clothes dryer was broken and the manager couldn't say when it was to be fixed) and furniture that would not even be accepted at a Goodwill Industries Thrift Shop. When we tried to complain, the property manager swore all the furniture and appliances were new (we have many photos proving otherwise), and the property owner refuses to return phone calls or emails requesting at least a partial refund. After an expensive 3 hours at Villa Twin Dolphins, my family, which included my 2-year-old grandson, moved to another property. Villa Twin Dolphin is most definitely unsafe for anyone with small children, infirmities or handicaps. The adjacent pier is rotting and has many missing planks. The pool has no shallow area, except directly in front of the swim-up bar. And, as previously mentioned, there is no beach. You will see two other reviews printed for this property. However, when I went to the owner's MyLife page, I discovered that both "glowing" reviews were written by his relatives. They even use exactly the same language. Renters Beware! Most definitely steer clear of Villa Twin Dolphins.
