beautiful flowers, lots of wildlife, awesome fishing!Our year-round house sits on the West shore of Lake Winnisquam, and has been in our family for three generations. The 24' fireplaced livingroom was originally a one room school house in Laconia, and brought across the ice by draft horses. We have pictures of the original owners & their B&B guest book for 'Camp Westwood' from the late 1800's. Beautiful spacious sunny rooms all have a view of the lake. The kitchen has all the amenities: Jenn-air stove, lg frig, dishwasher and disposal. The dining room has seating for 9. Play cards on the 24 ft porch with 3 large picture windows and a slider to the deck overlooking the lake. Sit by the outside fireplace eating s'mores and watch the moon rise over the mountains across the lake.
There is a private dock with easy access to water,for your enjoyment in summer. Fishing on Lake Winnisquam is fantastic Summer & Winter, we can show you our secret spots! Sit at the picnic table and watch the eagles, osprey, great blue herons, loons & ducks. There are bird houses and feeders all around the yard. Our Grandfather started the beautiful flower, vegetable and herb gardens which surround the property. Follow the native trout babbling brook which borders the property and travels thru the woods either walking or snowshoing. Relax and enjoy the private, woodsy setting, located on a quiet dead end road, away from traffic. Great Rainbow Trout & Lake Trout fishing in front of house no 'Bob-House' needed! The outlet mall, golfing and mini golf, hiking and farm stands, cider & pumpkins, Weirs Beach and the Mt. Washington boat, only 15 minutes away. All types of boat & jetski rentals nearby. Ice fish, cross-country ski, iceskate, snowmobile right at Camp! We have the Chef from Hickory Stick Restaurant available to cater a special meal for you for an additional cost! Our stay at camp westwood was wonderful. Even though we arrived early the house was opened for our arrival. Mark and Deb were gracious hosts and were very knowledgeable about the area which further enhanced our experience. Our family will consider returning to this rental in the future.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Mark and Debbie were excellent hosts. The house was wonderful and the whole family enjoyed the stay.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

A wonderful location and perfect setting. Thanks Debbie and Mark for providing such a great place, the garden the water the boats the fireworks. A very memorable holiday for some lucky Australians.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children.

About the owner: My husband & I have been lucky enough to have this property in our family for three generations. We live in the carriage house next door. We are avid fishermen and love all 4 seasons here. We have lots of great memories of good times & friendships made over the years. Lake Winnisquam fishing is terrific: Lg & sm. mouth bass, lake trout, rainbow trout, white & yellow perch & sunfish. The wildlife is abundant. The gardens are beautiful! We love to watch the sunrise and the moon rise over the mountains across the lake. We live in a wonderful neighborhood!
Why the Owner Chose Lake Winnisquam:
We are so thankful that our Grandmother & Grandfather chose this spot back in 1925! Step back in time and read the old guest books and journals from 1903! It is such a beautiful location. We are so happy to be able to spend 4 seasons here.
The Unique Benefits at this Chateau / Country House:
Relax, quiet, beautiful surroundings. The house is full of charm with sunny spacious rooms filled with history. We have two 45' HDTVs, one in the living room and one in the master bedroom. We have an apple tree, and fresh beautiful flowers & herbs surrounding the property, ready for picking! We enjoy feeding the birds and watching them nest in the houses by the lake.
During Winter we ice fish in front of the house, x-country ski, downhill ski/tubing, snowmobile to Canada from our front yard/snowshoe the woods exploring animal tracks along the brook.
