  This home was a wonderful wonderful place to visit. If you are looking for a place to relax and walk a peaceful beach (Ono), this home is for you. It was so clean, homey, cozy, and warm on the rainy days during our stay. Something I always notice are the beds, and happily we all slept like babies on them. We enjoyed our usual trips into Newport, exploring all the fun shops, and dining at Local Ocean (wonderful)! On one of the rainy days we brought home fresh crab and a movie and cuddled, even the dogs, bye the fire. The owners of this home were near by, but completely respectful of our privacy. They were both so kind and offered ideas about beaching, food, and whatever else we were interested in. Can not say enough about how wonderfully sweet our adventure was, due to staying at this great cottage!!!!

  We really enjoyed our recent stay at this cottage. The owners met us at the door and showed us around. They let us have use of their garden and their crab pot - so very helpful! We will definately be returning for another stay.

  We found the Searose Cottage to be sparkling clean, wonderfully bright and cheerful and completely stocked with nice cookware, etc., just as it is described. We appreciated the vegetable garden and the owner's hospitality. We enjoyed Georgie's restaurant in Newport as well as the South Beach Crab place.

  My family and I stayed at the cottage in August and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The cottage is just as described and it is outfitted with everything needed for a stay. It is kept in immaculate condition. The owners were very friendly and extremely helpful in suggesting activities suitable for my older parents. The location is close to Ona Beach that is just fantastic to roam on. It is also a great home base to take day trips. It had been years since we spent time on the Oregon coast but I can assure you that it won't be long before we take a return trip and would love to stay here again. Thank you for helping to make our vacation so wonderful!

  This cottage is a wonderful property. It is charming and classy. The decorating is perfect: the house clean, light, and bright. However, if your idea of a vacation is kicking back in a recliner and catching up on your TV viewing, be aware that there is a small analog television with 13 basic cable channels. Most disappointing is the ocean view. A small section of water and sky can be seen from one window...no beach or waves. It is more correctly described as an ocean peek. The neighborhood is beautiful, quiet, and friendly. The owners are great and very generous with garden produce and flowers.

  My wife and I have been traveling to the Central Oregon Coast for years now and this by far was the best VRBO property we have ever stayed at. In my opinion, when you stay on the coast you have got to stay in a cape cod and this one is a real jem. The layout is absolutely perfect yet simple, but the best feature are the ocean front windows that provide a great view of Ona Beach. Everything was clean and immaculate. We barbacued two of the days on the back deck. There is a walking path around the entire cottage with wonderful flowers and plants on both sides. Just magnificent!! The entrance to Ona Beach is just the very next driveway up the road, but we just walked everyday as it was only one block! This was our first time on Ona and I now rate it NUMBER ONE for my all time best Oregon beaches. It is spacious with great walking sand just like Cannon Beach, but without the any of the crouds. We never saw more than 5 people at any given time. It has incredible rock formations at the south end of the beach, as well as an agate bed that provides some fun searching. I can not begin to tell you about the interior crafsmenship of the cape cod, but it is basically wall-to-wall notty pine that just ads to the charm of the house. We had good weather for a few days but also enjoyed the stormy days when we could drive up to Newport, (5-10 minutes) or just sock in with a great book or even watch a movie on a the DVD player. The owners are right up the street to help with whatever we needed. Thanks again Steve and Linda!!! We will definately will be coming back soon!!! Jay and Ali from Oregon City

  This cottage is a charm. My son and I stayed there with our dog and the accomodations are exceptional. The house is extremely clean and was especially suitable for traveling with our dog. The owners are very friendly and helpful, but left us alone as well. The grill on the back deck and the full kitchen was great for cooking and entertaining other family friends. We were able to take walks in the neighborhood which is very quiet, and take a short drive down to the beach. The beach closest to the house is spectacular and a great place to run the dog. The best part about this rental is its coziness, cleanliness, and proximity to so much on the Oregon Coast. We liked being between Newport and Lincoln City- it was the best of both worlds. This is one of those special vacation spots that doesn't come along very often. We can't wait to go back!
