Alexandria house description
Enjoy sunny summer afternoons on one of the quietest, most pristine lakes in Minnesota. Lake Ida is a 4300 acre lake known for its abundant walleye, northern, bluegill and bass fish population. The maximum water depth is a crystal clear 106 feet. Our lake home features 100 feet of shoreline, with a private dock , lakeside fire pit and full upper deck. You can bring your own boat or easily rent one in Alexandria. A boat lift is included.
If silence is a problem this isn’t the lake property for you. Our home faces the west so the evening sunsets are incredible. Lake Ida is the second largest lake in the Alexandria area and it is quiet even on busy afternoons.
The front door enters into the large, fully equipped kitchen, with a barstool and dining area. The living room has a large picture window with a spectacular view of Lake Ida. The main floor has a very large master bedroom that overlooks the lake. A large second bedroom and bathroom are also on the main floor.
The downstairs features a very large family room with a 50” TV and DVD player. The family room has access to a patio that leads to the lake. The three bedrooms downstairs offer plenty of sleeping space for a large family or grandparent visit. There is also a bathroom and laundry room with washer, dryer and sink. Both levels are 1200 square feet (2400 total).
We have another cabin on Lake Ida so we are available for questions most Fridays/Saturdays/Sundays.

Year Purchased: 2002
About the owner: Owner with walleye caught ice fishing on Lake Ida.
Why the Owner Chose Alexandria:
We love Lake Ida so we purchased a larger lakefront home a 1/4 mile south of this cabin. The west sunsets and the size of Lake Ida attracted us to this property. The cabin/home is very large so we have had many friends and relatives enjoy the lake activities with us including: fishing, waterskiing, tubing, swimming, windsurfing, canoeing and kayaking. Both our kids learned to waterski and wakeboard on Lake Ida. My husband loves windsurfing on the lake because of the wind direction and the lake size
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Besides the obvious water activities, Alexandria has many attractions to keep adults and kids active. The Runestone and Maritime Museums are definitely worth visiting as is Big Ollie, the large Viking statue . LeHomme Theatre in downtown Alexandria is one of the best theatres in the state. On a rainy day try bowling with a side of onion rings at Fat Daddy's. There are several festivals and fairs throughout the summer and fall including the Carlos Creek Winery Grape Stomp.
