This fabulous property is set in a natural wonderland environment ready to be discovered by visitors wanting to experience what the Berkshires are all about. Located within a half-mile of the historic village of South Egremont, and 5 minutes from downtown Great Barrington, the grounds feature over 30 acres of views, pathways, expansive meadows and fields, an apple orchard, a labyrinth, tree swings, gardens, rock borders, a trampoline and heated pool with pool house!
The newly updated kitchen is wonderfully appointed with plenty of counter space, and cupboards. The appliances are high-end stainless steel with a six-burner Viking stove and a double oven. A large farmhouse style table seats 6 – 8, with room at the granite counter for several more. The living room with cozy seating around a wood burning fireplace and built-in bookshelves opens to a large entry foyer with an additional seating area and a grand piano. The family room has a wood burning stove, large flat screen TV with DVD collection, and a full-size pull-out sofa. This property lends itself to enjoying the simpler, quieter elements of getting away from it all.
The master bedroom had a king bed and full bathroom with a shower. There are two more guest bedrooms: one with a queen bed and another with twin bunk beds. These two bedrooms share another full bath with tub/shower combo. Throughout the home are books, games, puzzles, and plenty of fun things to entertain both children and adults.
The pool house has a queen sized futon bed and a ½ bath and kitchenette.
The outdoor space is both natural and beautifully maintained. Wander down lovely paths… sit and meditate on the gorgeous mountain vistas of Mount Everett and East Mountain, sit in a tree swing, or take a dip in the pool. A large array of fresh organic vegetables are yours to harvest from the property's vegetable garden. There is a babbling brook in the woods and a green labyrinth in the field!
The owners maintain the property and are available on site if needed. The owners' cottage is situated well away from the main house, ensuring your privacy.

Gorgeous private large property setting and perfect pool set up made this a great family gathering place, including our dogs. All amenities were as advertised, the house was very comfortable, and the owners were renter friendly. Our only frustration was the area's slow and sporadic internet service. We recommend this place!
Recommended for:Sightseeing, romantic getaway, pet owners, families with young children, girls getaway, families with teenagers, age 55+.
