  For the second time we have had a brilliant vacation in this appartment for 12 days:) see the other review from me......For two persons the appartment is perfect, you do not miss anything. Its modern and clean and a brand new sofa who can be used as a bed if necessary. This time we often dined at the seafoodrestaurants in the neigboorhood. The owner recommend severals of them in useful information in the appartment. And you are near by everything, its easy to come to other part of this city. We used taxi, it is not expensiv at all, example - 6 Euro from Barceloneta to the Gracia areal. It is a great and good place to bee, good atmosphere. The old streets with there history and the local people gives me a good feeling. And we are hoping to come back next year, or as soon as possible :) June was a good time for us, not too many people at the beach, and a lovely temperature. And last, but not less impotant the owner Assumpta provide first clas + customer service, and so did Blanca (his assistent) as well.

  Our experience was the same as others' here. Assumpta was very responsive to email inquiries, replying almost before we sent them, and her replies were invariably friendly and extremely helpful. We were met at the apartment exactly as we were told we would be, and all went very smoothly. Assumpta suggests that you don't bring a very large suitcase, and that's good advice; the stairs are quaint and the corners tight. But they're fine (and we're definitely 55+). The apartment has pretty much everything you could reasonably want, and is nicely set up with modern, comfortable furniture. It's well laid out, with a nice sleeping area separated by a barrier from the living area, and a clean and modern bathroom (well, shower, not bath) at the opposite end. The space is well used so that, although it's not a large space, it doesn't feel at all cramped. There's heating and air conditioning, and that modern essential: wi-fi. The location is great. Turn left, and you're on the beach in a couple of minutes. Go round a couple of corners, and in a minute or so more you're looking at the harbour. Ten minutes up the road is the Metro, giving you access to the city, although La Rambla is only a short walk round the harbour; you're pretty central. The area has plenty of food shops and restaurants, and although at the weekend the beach and harbour areas attract large numbers of people enjoying the amenities, the apartment's street is very quiet, both day and night. Departure, too, was handled efficiently and warmly; Anna arranged for a taxi to take us to the airport, and we got there when we needed to, exactly as planned. You leave with the feeling of having been well looked after. It's a great apartment, extremely well located. We'd recommend it without hesitation to anyone, friends, family or otherwise.

  The house is ideal for 2 even for 3 persons. We stayed there during our Xmas and New Year's vacations. At first i was worried about the heating, bu i can assure you that the heating was more than enough. The house is warm by itself. We just used the heating for a few hours at night. Kitchen fully equipped and the bathroom very satisfing. Everything we needed was provided and included in the apartment. We even loved the traditional staircase! Many thanks to Assumpta, who answered my many many emails and of course Blanca for her help and kindness.

  I was looking for the beach and got it, just a block away! At night with the windows open, we could hear the waves crashing and on good-weather days enjoyed long walks and dining at the seaside. This is a small, basic apartment with all you need for 1 or 2 people. Very clean and well equipped. All dealings with the owner were quite friendly and her replies were always very speedy. We met the cleaning lady for the key and to exchange money on the first day, and she was also very warm and kind. Upon check in, we arranged for her to meet us at the apartment on our last day to exchange keys and to get the deposit refund, and she also offered to book a cab. She arrived promptly, handed our deposit back, and a cab was already waiting. The cab driver was also very nice and friendly, seems to be an associate of the cleaning lady. A great package - perfect service, very nice people, and amazing access to both the city and to the beach and the many seafood offerings. We will go back and hope to stay in the same place, but at a time with better beach weather.

  Recommended for: Tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

  A great appartment with new bathroom and kitschen part. The beach just round the corner, and no car-way to cross. 15 minutes to walk to the center of Barcelona. The area around the appartment is quiet and has an good old city atmosphere. A really good market in the neigborhood, and fresch bread and delicious fruit to buy. We really do like the place and wants to go back as soon as possible. And I recommend this place from my heart. And the contact person is very kindly.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+.

  The appartment was very clean. Good equipped kitchen, also washingmachine and dryer, good shower. Near to the beach. We could stay untill 18.00 pm the last day, because the appartment had not been rented for the next day

  Great location: beach round the corner, but also old city feel, walking distance to centre and metro. Very friendly contact person. Apartment clean and well equipped. Would definitely stay there again.

  Great apartment in a quiet district just 15 min walk from Las ramblas and the Olympic port. Sound of the waves can be heard at night which gives a little romantic touch to it.
