  Villa Pondside is fabulous. My wife and I rented it from the Sweets for a full year, and then liking it so much, extended the lease for another year. The location is wonderful. It is a 150 meter walk to the Eden Roc, Nikki Beach and Baie St. Jean white sandy beach. Also within walking distance is St. Jean village with its restaurants and shops. And a short drive away is the main supermarket on the island and airport. The villa itself is comfortable and well maintained. The layout has a warm feel, the 2 bedrooms and bathrooms are comfortable and functional, and being at opposite ends of the villa are perfect for 2 couples or a family with kids. The outside dining room is suited for meals at home and the small pool and patio are perfect for entertaining or lounging around when one does not want to go to the beach. The villa feels private. The on island maintenance staff made sure that everything was well looked after. The owner is caring and easy to deal with. We love the villa and look forward to renting it again as circumstances allow. Michael & Nelli Kane. San Francisco. Renters from July 2010 – August 2012.

  We keep an excellent memory of our stay at Villa Pondside. It is the most perfect villa to either relax by the pool on its large and elegant verandah whilst enjoying the stunning views over St Jean Bay or take a stroll to St Jean's beach. The feel of the Villa, its decor, its setting, its position, its privacy, its appointments and its discreet and efficient staff, all made for the most peaceful, pleasant, easy and enjoyable holiday. -Gervas, Burnham Market, Norfolk, UK

  My wife and I had the pleasure of enjoying this lovely home over the Christmas holidays. The Sweet's could not have been more helpful with suggestions of things to do and places to visit. The location of the home is perfect in that it is just a short walk to the most beautiful beaches on the island as well as some world class dining and night life. Everything you need to enjoy a perfect vacation is available in this fabulous villa. We will definitely be back and could not imagine a better place on the island to stay.   My husband and I spent our unforgettable honeymoon in this beautiful villa. The pictures don't really do the home justice - it is a spotless, airy and spacious villa with lots of natural light and breathtaking views. We loved the privacy that it provided - being able to swim and sunbathe in our own little haven and cook delicious dinners on the grill. When we did want to join the rest of the world we could wander down to St Jean (which is less than 5 minutes away) or hang out at Nikki Beach or sip a drink at the sophisticated and exclusive Eden Rock. St Barts is definitely one of those places that you need to see at least once in your life. The beaches are numerous and each has a different character with great opportunities for snorkeling, swimming or simply relaxing. We enjoyed being there in October as it was slightly out of season and so was very quiet and relaxed, but have also been there in the summer and in November and it is never a place that feels crowded. There are always great places to eat, drink, dance and people watch or simply a quiet place that you can be on your own or with your partner. We also love that you can have the best of both worlds in St Barts - you can hang out and have beer at the relaxed La Select or at La Creperie, both in Gustavia, or glam it up and be gorgeous at the Ti St Barts. It is all there, and to be perfectly honest, I wish we were there more often too. Recap: Would highly recommend St Barts for a romantic, quiet vacation or for a fun, upbeat time with your best pals. No question that this villa is set in the most perfect place for all activities and is a perfect home from home.
