  Doug and Maggie's cabin is a great alternative to the lodging options in the valley. It is close to the valley as well as close to the roads to Glacier point and Tioga pass. It was a wonderful respite from the valley crowds at the end of the day. Also, it was really nice to be able to grill something for dinner and sit out on the quiet patio while the sun set. The cabin is comfortable, clean and well equipped with all the necessities. Doug and Maggie also provided helpful information for our visit to the park.We would highly recommend this property and hope to return ourselves. Steve and Kathy, Westport, MA

  Our holiday to Yosemite was the best we've ever had, and the cabin was simply the icing on the cake! The listing description was accurate in every detail, but maybe the photos perhaps did not do the cabin justice as it far exceeded our expectations regarding comfort, equipment, and spaciousness. I loved the evenings whereby I would sit outside on the patio with a gin and tonic, reading and listening to the wonderful sounds of nature whilst mouthwatering steaks and chicken were being chargrilled on the barbeque. The kitchen was fantastically equipped - in fact, everything was wonderful, words cannot describe how brilliant this cabin was! The cabin's location was really well placed as we were able to get to all the highlights of Yosemite without travelling too far. The owners Maggie & Doug were absolutely superb, and had thought of how to make our stay memorable in every way, and their attention to detail was much appreciated. We would highly recommend this cabin, and indeed we are making plans to return, this time with members of our family as we wish them to have as good a holiday as we did at Foresta Ridge Cabin. Thank you Maggie and Doug, we've made new friends!

  The Foresta Ridge cabin exceeded our expectations. It was a quiet, peaceful spot to come home to every night after hiking and exploring in the park. The location could not have been better - no matter which direction you wanted to head in Yosemite. Doug and Maggie are wonderful hosts - we felt comfortable from the moment we arrived. The cabin is well stocked and just adorable! We would highly recommend this cabin and would love to return some day if we ever get back to the west coast. Thanks Maggie and Doug for sharing your piece of paradise!

  We had a wonderful stay at the Foresta Ridge Cabin. We truly enjoyed our stay in Yosemite and coming back to the cabin at night was perfect. The owners really thought of all the details to make you stay comfortable and those little extras made the stay even more enjoyable and hassle free. The pantry and fridge were very well stocked from coffee, sugar, to flour and oil, to condiments. We cooked at the cabin every night and it was like being home away from home. We brought in almost all of our food, but the Village Market in Yosemite Valley is very well stocked and not super expensive. The owners Maggie and Doug were very nice and answered all our questions before getting there and recommended some nice hikes as well as going to Cascade Beach, where we spent a couple of hours one afternoon and it was great. We will definitely consider the cabin for a future stay in Yosemite and we will recommend it to our friends.

  We spent a week at the Foresta Ridge Cabin (parents + toddler), and loved it! The location is great: about 10 minutes to Yosemite Valley on Hwy 120, but feels more like 3 minutes owing to the amazing views of Half Dome on that stretch of the highway. The cabin itself is wonderful, it's spacious and cozy, the bathroom is modern and the kitchen has everything you need to cook any meal. The owners are great, they welcomed us when we arrived and made sure that our stay would be as comfortable as possible, gave us tips for where to go and what to see, etc. We'd stay here again!

  We recently stayed at Foresta Ridge cabin and had a wonderful experience. The cabin was well appointed and kept in a natural setting. We really appreciated the hospitality shown by Doug and Maggie. Our days were spent touring Yosemite which is just breathtaking. We loved being able to return to the quiet cabin, eat our own prepared meals which we grilled, and have a good night's rest. Our vacation and stay at the cabin more than met our expectaions. Thank you!

  We recently stayed in this delightful cabin for 4 days and had a wonderful experience. It was perfect for two people who enjoy privacy and certain "comforts" that were provided by Doug and Maggie. (very clean, great shower, kitchen, comfortable bed, etc.) We had everything we needed to enjoy our days in the Valley, which is only a short drive away. We unfortunately did not have enough time to really explore Foresta but hope to have a chance to do that one day plus go to the High Country that was still closed while we were there. Highly recommend! Thanks Doug and Maggie!!!

  My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Foresta Ridge Cabin. It was a perfect place to unwind after hiking all day. We cooked all of our meals at the cabin and were happy to have use of the BBQ. Maggie and Doug provided all the extras such as spices for cooking, coffee, hot chocolate, and waters. My husband even got to watch his Laker game on the nice flatscreen TV! A very nice, clean, and peaceful place for a couple to relax. Thank you!

  I have to agree with another reviewer that the photos don't do the place justice. The photos make it look kind of small while it's actually quite spacious. It's very quiet. It's pleasant to sit outdoors on the patio in the evening. Nothing in Yosemite seems close by but you're not far from Yosemite Valley. It's also a good jumping off spot for Toulamne Meadows and the Tioga Pass although it still takes a while to get there. We stayed here for 4 nights in September and highly recommend it.

  My husband and I love this place, and can't wait to go back! It has everything that you could want in a cozy cabin - stove, refrigerator, indoor plumbing. The bed and couch were comfy. They even have cable - which is quite a luxury for those of us used to backpacking. The finishing touches are what make it though - bare wood, bear and moose decorations - so cute! Also, not far from the best Yosemite attractions, where we spent a lot of our time. Highly recommended.
