South Dakota side of Big Stone Lake!
****21 Trophy Fish caught off the Dock!!!****(UP DATE 23 AS OF JUNE 1ST)
Two bedroom (sleep 6) Lake Cabin on the South Dakota side of Big Stone Lake with 65 feet of shore line! It includes a large carport, plenty of parking, super 40’ fishing dock and a ‘all around shack’ next to the lake! The cabin has a gradual slope to the lake a mere 50 feet away!
CABIN FEATURES:
Kitchen ~ Completely Stocked! The kitchen comes with a Dishwasher, Gas Stove, Full Fridge, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, dishes, pots, pans, spices and anything you could possibly need!
Laundry ~ Full Size Top load washer, Dryer, ironing board and iron, there is also a clothes line and pins.
Bedrooms ~ Master Bedroom has a Queen “pillow top mattress” bed that is so comfortable it is not to be Believed! Second bedroom has a twin bed. You can also sleep 2 children in the living room (we do it all the time!
Bathroom ~ Tub with a Shower and the other essentials including all linen, towels and wash cloths.
Living Room and Dining Room Overlook the lake and have fantastic lake views from 11 windows! Two sets of tables with four chairs each. A sofa, love seat and recliner chair. TV with cable channels including locals, DVD, DVD Library, VCR and a stereo!
Deck ~ with Chairs and lake view! Two Fire pit’s and a good bit of firewood
DOCK - FISHING - SHACK FEATURES:
Lake side shack ~ Started out as a fish cleaning house and has morphed into a sort of club house! It has everything needed to fish from the dock, including four fish poles and tackle, bait bucket and net! It also has a heater for cold or wet weather fishing! Includes TV/DVD, Am/Fm radio, Marine Radio, Full Fridge, chairs and much more! It gets used as a room for those who smoke, dog house, “man in dog house” quarters and a local hang out for telling fish stories and has solved many of the worlds problems! And you can clean fish while still looking out the window and watching your fishing lines! (many of the Trophy fish have been caught while cleaning fish!)
Dock ~ 40 feet long and 8 feet wide! Four rod holders that swing out to tell you when you have a fish on!
The dock is on a point and produces many kinds of fish including:

Why the Owner Chose Ortonville
This started as my families vacation lake cabin and as life has it, they all moved far away or went home, and we so enjoyed it here, we just kept buying other family members shares! As long as I'm here, I'll never sell it! It is the Best Place on Earth!!!
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
A side from the fishing... It's just so special to be at the "lake"! There are a couple of supper clubs on the lake that you can reach either by boat or car. The neighbors there are some of the best people on the face of this planet! The resort is only a short walk up the road. The kids all run around like kids at the lake do! It's not far from either Milbank, SD or Ortinville, MN. I guess I should be telling about places to eat or golf or shop, but to be honest, when we come to the lake, we don't leave!
