I gave my husband a week at the lake for his spring birthday. We all had a wonderful time. The house is wonderful, comfortable, and beautiful - really has it all. We fished off the dock with our grandchildren and caught bass, catfish, and brim. We sat on the party deck around the gas fire pit at night. The dock has a place to tie your boat, great lighting, a refrigerator, fans, gas grills, and seating for many. The orientation on the lake is great - beautiful water. The landscaping in the yard, the southern porch with swings and fans, and the multiple decks are amazing. You could comfortably sleep a crowd. There are lots of flat screen TVs, a great kitchen, and a big dining area. The bathrooms are nice, good sized. There is even covered parking. The owner is a sweetheart - the most accommodating person you could ask for! We will definitely come back! Absolutely loved it!

My husband and I spent a very relaxing week here. Since it was just the two of us, we didn't need the second story or the "man cave", but both were beautiful! Being a gourmet cook, I loved the kitchen! Susan (owner) must love to cook as well because the place was very well appointed with MANY personal touches! The only thing that was disappointing was that we were unable to store our boat in the boathouse due to the owners boats occupying it. We did have several rainy days in which our boat sat uncovered tied to the dock. I'm sure summer renters wouldn't run into this as the owners probably weren't expecting a winter rental with a boat. The gas fire pit on the second story of the boathouse was an awesome spot to ring in the new year and watch the neighbor's fireworks! Would love to visit in the summer as I highly recommend this house for a vacation!

We have stayed at this amazing lake house three times! It is perfect anytime of the year. Two years ago we spent Christmas there, and this past Christmas my daugther requested it again. We love the cozy feel and it's decorated beautifully. Our Summer stay was also perfect! We love being on the lake in the summer time! The pier is perfect for sunbathing and lots of fishing. The owners are wonderful to work with. If you want a great place with lots of room then this is it! This lake house is a home away from home for us, everything you could need is right there. And being so close to Florence is great.

Relaxation at the lake!

We had 8 adults and 8 children staying in this house and had room for everyone. The house was clean and well stocked in the kitchen and with linens. It is in a quiet area near St. Florian, but still very close to Florence and all its conveniences. The lake lot is beautiful and the dock is amazing. We enjoyed fishing from the dock and sitting around the gas fire pit on the party deck. House has nice tv's, which we put to good use watching the Bama/LSU game. Even when a strong storm blew thru the area and we lost the satellite feed for a little while, we still could listen to the game on the radio provided in the house! We did lots of fishing, but only caught a few, I'm sure the fishing is better in Spring and Summer. Bottom line, if you are looking for a nice place on the river, capable of accomodating a crowd, then this is the place for you!

All the reviews are spot on. This property has everything and is beautiful. The boat house is amazing, and the views are spectacular. The owners are the most accomodating people you can imagine. They drove down from Tennessee during our stay to fix a fan that was not working - over the top. Their service was above and beyond. If you like to golf, the Robert Trent Jones "Muscle Shoals" location is an easy 20 minute drive from the house. There are 2 spectacular courses there. Easy access to dining and entertainment; I'd recommend this house to anyone looking to stay in the area.

Our family enjoyed 4 nights at this vacation home before our youngest son headed to college for the first time. Wish we could have stayed longer! Everything we needed was there. We cooked every meal at the home (didn't want to leave!) using the great kitchen and grills. The home is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The owners were great to work with and the home was immaculate. We enjoyed fishing from the pier every night and star gazing from the boat house deck during meteor showers. The shooting stars looked like we could reach out and touch them. Also enjoyed an afternoon at a very nice golf course nearby. Great vacation-will definitely return!

Family loved it. Clean, well kepted. The kids had a ball jumping on the top of the boat house, that has a stereo, tv, bar, and standing cooler. We caught plenty of catfish and way to many turtles lol. The neighbors are outstanding. They took family members on boat rides, let us borrow their canoe. Their dog tipper was a big hit with everybody, very friendly. Outstanding anyway you look at it, cant wait to come back.

Truly Relaxing Vacation!

This was our 3rd time to stay in this beautiful home. The owners are so easy to work with! Each time we stay here, I tell everyone that this is the most relaxing vacation I have ever had. You can sit on the porch and read a good book, (they even have some there for you to borrow) or you can curl up on the comfy sofa and watch a movie on the big screen TV, or sit out on the sun deck and watch the sunset. The home is decorated so beautifully and the kitchen is stocked with all the dishes and pots and pans that you need to cook a great meal for your family. The beds are comfy and plenty of room for all of your family. One night while there we had my parents, another couple and my family of 4 and everyone had a bed to sleep in. We love this place and hope to be back again soon!!

This home has everything! It has wifi, satellite tv, etc all the comveniences of home But who needs that when you have the river. You can sit out on the top level of the large deck each night and watch the sunset. The view is awesome. We caught some big catfish off the deck. There is plenty of room and sleeping quarters over the carport which the boys call the "man cave". This was our second summer to stay. We love it! Thanks Susan.

Many thanks to Susan for sharing her home with us! Having used VRBO many, many times, I can say that this house offered the best "home-like" experience we have had. The house was stocked with almost everything you would ever need and is certainly the most well-stocked home we have rented through VRBO. The home allows for everyone to have their separate space, if wanted, but it also has great common areas for everyone to be together. My favorite part was walking right out the back door and be able to fish any time of the day. Too bad we didn't catch many!

Our stay in this VRBO rental was fantastic! The pictures show some of what the house has to offer; however, we were blown away when we stepped into this beautifully decorated home! After a quick tour, seeing the 2 impressive grills, the tv and stereo on the dock, and the gas fire pit on the second story of the boat dock, my husband said, "I want to meet these people!" This home definitely superseded our expectations! Thank you for a great vacation!

This place is awesome and the owners make sure you have everything you need, just like you are at home. There is wifi, satellite TV, very comfortable beds, washer and dryer, you name it, it is available. We had an awesome time, the party deck is wonderful. My two y/o grandson caught his first fish from the pier. A great place for family to enjoy time together. The only negative was the fish didn't start biting until it started raining. We still managed to catch some big cats, even if it was in the rain. Would recommend for great quality times together !!!

We stayed in this property June 12-17, and absolutely loved it!! We brought our extended family with us, and had more than enough room for everyone. The house is beautiful and very comfortable. We needed nothing. It was so relaxing and comfortable. The owners were very helpful and accomadating.The boathouse, party deck and dock were awesome!!! We spent most of our time out there. Everyone fished and swam until they were exhausted. The jump off on the party deck was the best!! We can't wait to return! Florence has anything you could need or want. I can't say enough about this property -- we just loved it!! I highly recommend this property for anyone looking to stay in this area, or just looking for a great vacation place.

The Perfect Golf Vacation Home

My friends and I have been on many a golf outings to multiple VRBO sites. This place tops the charts. It's extremely comfortable and has that lived in feeling. We almost felt like the owners let us borrow there home while they were on vacation. This place had everything and more needed for 8 guys to relax and enjoy our annual golf trip. It's the first time we found a place with 8 actual beds; no rollout couches or air mattresses. We showed up with the everything but the kitchen sink in preparation for our stay, only to find out we didn't need half of it. This house was loaded. All we needed to bring was a change of clothes, golf clubs, and food required for the duration. The kitchen had more stuff than most of us owned in our own homes. We had wireless internet and Direct TV with almost every movie channel available. The grill on the dock was incredible. We were impressed at how the owners hooked up a gas line directly from the house to the grill and the firepit (no tank required). Did I forget to mention the TV, Stereo, and Bar area with Fridgerator on the boat dock? What else can any grown man ask for on vacation? Lastly, the house is located only 6 miles from downtown Florence. Just about anything you need in regards to shopping and dining is available. My golf buddies and I have already rescheduled next years trip to this location. I can't wait!

I stayed for an extended weekend on a golf trip with college friends. 8 men were very comfortable in the house. The house is very well appointed. The boat house is phenominal. Due to circumstances beyond human control (tornadoes), we lost power at the house. The owners worked very hard to make sure we were comfortable and that we would enjoy our vacation. These are first rate people who I whole heartedly would recommend as honest, industrious and caring. Truly a beautiful place.

Before you buy your grubs, check the fridge for condiments, they will be there as everyone leaves them. The neighbors were wonderful even offering use of their private launch ramp ( invite them for a BBQ or fish fry) Three grills all over the property. Tipper is such a big sweety (dog) Susan and Larry were home spun and very welcoming hosts. The place was well decorated and extrely clean and everything you can imagine was there it the right logical place, all you had to do was look, rarely search. Need a bottle opener? I opened one drawer, there it was, pots and pans, cabinets near the stove, an additional full freezer and refrigerator in the storage area, plus coolers to take down to the lake, tooth picks too (anywhere but Kentucky they would be teeth picks), seriously, this was the best place we've stayed in twenty years of fishing trips, we will be back when the fishing/lake improves and settles down from flood draw down conditions on the main lake. I LOVED IT, can ya tell? we had a total of 8 full grown men, and were never cramped or confined, plenty of bathrooms so no waiting, we didn't get to use the massive deck as much as we would've liked because of weather (thunderstorms) but it had enough room to dock four boats if we had wanted to, also a stainless steel fish cleaning station, radios and tv, refridgerator here also and a FIREPIT on the top deck. Seriously we could not think of another thing we could possibly need I and all my friends gave this place a name cause our leader said no snacks on the boats , so it is now officially known as the SNACK SHACK said with love and affection and good natured humor. ( as it is not a shack) I would recommend the Snack Shack to anyone, it was simply the best. Jerry , Bob, Lonnie,John, Kelly, Josh, Scott, and Sean

This home has everything advertised and so much more!!! We arrived as a group of 8 fishermen to find a beautifully decorated and well stocked lake home. After spending 10+ hours fishing each day, we really enjoyed coming in each evening to the comfort and luxury this home provides. The roominess of the kitchen (furnished with double oven and stainless appliances), dining and living room is awesome. This home is completely furnished with all dishes, pots/pans, linens and towels. All bedrooms are equipped with very comfortable beds and decorated nicely. The boat house and amenities are equally as impressive. It provides much more than a standard outdoor gathering area. A large overhead deck with seating for many...large commercial style grill...bar area with fridge...and stainless sink that makes a great fish cleaning station. The porch on the house overlooks the lake and is very inviting after a long day on the water. If you are looking for a truly awesome getaway, we highly recommend this property. The owner is extremely nice and eager to ensure your vacation is worry free. We will definitely stay here again when we plan a trip in this area!!

I rented this place for my wifes 50th birthday. I had friends and relatives coming in from out of state. This is an absolute fantastic place. The house is amazing and with 16 people we still have plenty of room and penty of sleeping space. The deck is incredible. That is where we spent most of our time. And the owner is great to work with and will make sure the place is ready for you to enjoy. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a great get away on the river. Chris

Due to the oil spill in the gulf, our family of 5 decided to go somewhere other than the beach and found this listing on VRBO. We stayed for a week and could not have been any happier! This turned out to be one of the best family vacations ever and the kids have already asked if we can go back. The house is absolutely beautiful inside and out. The boat house and deck was the best we saw on the lake. The kids loved jumping from the top deck. We will definitely be back!

absolutely wonderful place to stay

We stayed in this property the third weekend in June and we couldn't be happier. We absolutely loved it. There was 7 adults and 3 children. We had more than enough room and could have brought more family and still been comfortable. The house is beautiful and very well equipped. We needed nothing. It was so relaxing and comfortable. The house was very clean and the owners were very helpful and accomadating.The party deck and dock were awesome, great for sitting together and enjoying each others company.. The kids fished and swam until they were exhausted. The description was accurate but maybe underestimated the beauty of this property. We have already recommended this property to family and friends and have began looking for another date we can go back. We didn't visit any restaurants, but did all of our cooking on one of the 3 grills provided at the dock by the water.We did take a short ride into Florence to do some shopping at Wal-Mart. I can't say enough graet things about this property to describe how pleased we were. We will definately be back hopefully on a regular basis. I highly recommend this property for anyone looking to stay in this area or looking for a great vacation place.

Every year me and 10 friends go and stay at this great river house. It is so cozy and lots of space. Every room is so beautifully decorated. The double ovens came in handy cooking with a large group. We also loved the detached open room with three beds and bath. We loved going in the fall and winter for a weekend getaway. We would sit out on the pier and enjoyed the gas fire pit. This house would be great for just a romantic getaway or a vacation for the entire family!
