  My husband & I stayed in this unit for 28 days. Though this unit is not furnished with fancy furniture, it definitely was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The bed is very comfortable and the kitchen has the necessities. The washer & dryer, fridge, stove & dishwasher worked perfectly, the cable TV worked perfectly but it is Mexico so don't expect lots of English channels. BVGMARINA has it's own wireless Internet in the lobby, at the pool & surrounding area which works better some days the others. Our unit, however had IZ Properties Internet available to us at no cost. We had a couple of days with problems but the other units were always having problems. Whenever we called IZ Properties for anything they were so helpful. The property manager Craig and his staff Armando & Erika were ready, willing & able to help with everything. They made certain that we had a cleaning lady 2 days a week at no cost to us, dishwasher soap, detergent for the washer, detergent for washing dishes in the sink, hand soap, bars of soap and garbage bags. The hot water tank was large & we always had hot water for the large shower. Our balcony had 2 lounge chairs which we really appreciated. The view from the balcony was incredible. The door from the bedroom & living room both open to the balcony. I can't say enough about the Infinity pool, the beach with its palapas etc. it has to be the most beautiful pool/ beach I have ever had the privilege of using. We always had chairs either at the pool or on the beach. Staff made certain that people who don't stay at the the BVGMARINA don't enter the premises. The staff there was always friendly & helpful. Even their snack bar is very inexpensive and they serve delicious club house sandwiches. The bus to Ixtapa stops whenever they see people walking. The cost is 6 pesos to Ixtapa & 9 pesos to Zihuatanejo. We found a lot of very inexpensive restaurants that serve good meals. We bought bread & muffins at the Golden Cookie Bakery. Yum! The only thing that this unit needs is a new couch. We didn't really use the couch so we told management not to worry about it but I do think that you should ask them to make certain that they have a new couch. I think it is also very worthwhile to mention that many people go there hear after hear. It was fun to get to know the other renters or owners. They were always so friendlyand helpful. That's how we knew where to eat. Thanks to the owners, & management for a wonderful experience.

  My husband and stayed in this condo and I have to say the property is beautiful! We spent the entire week in the pool which was gorgeous. We had lunch everyday on the property and enjoyed a great massage. The condo set up was nice it is furnished fine, bare minimum. The problem came in with Craig the owner of IZ properties that manages this unit. The rental company did not pre-check to see if everything was in order before our arrival. The first thing we noticed is the washer/dryer was broken. Craig had lots of excuses why it was not working but never got it working while we were there. Then the hot water heater had been turned off, we took care of that on our own by contacting BVG Property management, whom were great to us. The we found there was no cable. Again, lots of excuses from Craig but then it was promised to us immediatly, we got it on our last day. We will come back. Craig offered us some compinsation but we never saw it. We will back to Ixtapa and BVG but not with IZ Properties.

  Owner response: We notify a condominium complex well in advance of when guests will be arriving. We follow that up with a reminder the day before the guests arrive. This notice is specifically so that Administration has their maintenance department turn on the utilities in that specific condo. We are totally dependent upon them for that service, and, they only turn on the utilities the day or afternoon of the guests' arrival. When these guests arrived we discovered at that time that maintenance had not turned on the utilities- there is no way to "pre-check" since they work by their own schedule and sometimes they are turning on utilities as our guests arrive. We immediately reported this to Administration and they sent someone to correct the situation. The guests later notified us that the washer was not working (administration just had it repaired under warranty). They reported to us that the washer was fixed at least a week before this arrival. We trusted that Administration had given us correct information about the repair- I did not check the washer to make sure it was repaired- nor would I, since I know nothing about repairing washing machines. When the guests reported the problem with the washer, we made immediate arrangements for the guests to use the washer in the condo directly next door to them, and I provided them with a key to that unit as there was no way to get the service company out quick enough. We even provided them with laundry detergent and softener. Regarding the cable, the the owner mistakenly changed one of the entries when he was editing the website to show that there was TV cable. There was none, and there never had been before. Since the guests had assumed there was cable TV due to the owner's error on the sight, we convinced the owner to have us install it. I offered the guests movies which could be played on the TV through the DVD player until the cable could be installed , but they declined. We immediately contacted the cable company and made arrangements for installation- normally, it takes two weeks for installation, but we paid extra to try to speed up the process- again to accommodate the guests. The cable company installed the cable a few days later. I offered the guests a choice of either a free return visit to the condo, or a cash compensation of $150. They never responded to our offer. We strive to provide excellent service to our clients and we do. We can be proud of our record and our excellent client relationship.

  Stayed two nights in this condo unit in October. The unit was finished but work was still ongoing on the towers and grounds. All the arrangements for the stay were made quite easily with the condo owner and we were greeted on arrival. During our stay we were left without water one day due to problems related to the tower construction. The owner did provide some compensation for this, which we appreciated, and the complex staff delivered water in buckets for bathing. The tower complex has a great playroom for young kids. The pool is also very nice. The unit was clean upon arrival, however we were disappointed to find extensive mold on some of the furniture. Another disappointment was it took a couple months to receive our returned deposit and then there were some further issues with an additional inadvertent charge once the deposit was returned. We continue to work to get this additional charge refunded several weeks after the issue first arose. The owner has acknowledged the error, but still has not resolved the issue several weeks later.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children.

  Owner response: At the time this unit was rented, there was still construction going on in the North Tower of Bay View Grand Marina, although most of the construction was interior finishing work, therefore it was not creating a noise factor for the surrounding area. The water problem was due to a broken main water pipe coming from the water company into the property, and there was nothing we could do about something like that, but because we felt badly, we refunded part of the renters' cost in return for their inconvenience. Regarding mold on the furniture, we cannot comment other than to say that neither the renters both before and after mentioned anything at all about mold on the furniture (and upon inspection we could find no evidence of mold anywhere). Also, this is a brand new condo with brand new furniture and these renters were among the first dozen to rent this condo. Regarding the issue of the returned deposit- we refunded the deposit to the renters in a timely manner, and actually accidentally put the refund through twice. We reported the error to the bank and they indicated they would correct the charges for us. The renters know this to be true because we sent copies of the refund receipts to them to aid them in their quest to straighten the matter out. This was a bank issue- not an issue with us or the unit- and we feel extremely disappointed that the renters felt it necessary to create a negative about the condominium when this had nothing whatsoever to do with the condo- it was strictly a bank error and we have gone way out of our way (including multiple trips to the bank and several hours of our time) to cooperate and help the renters receive their refund through their credit card company. In closing, we expend great efforts to assure the comfort and enjoyment of our renter/clients during their vacation. We normally have great reports from our renters regarding how much they loved the condo and the complex and the great time they had. We do our best to create pleasant memories for our clients. Unfortunately, we cannot control uncontrollable events - we can just react and hope that we have resolved any unforseen problems such as bad weather, or utility service interruption.
