The LeMar Cabin is a fantastic get away cabin located in a spectacular secluded wooded area. The forest surrounds the cabin and Spearfish Canyon Creek runs in front of it, inviting you to a very beautiful and serene environment.
There is a very spacious yard for fun and games, barbequing or just sitting and relaxing. Fishing and swimming are within a few feet from the cabin's front door and because of the seclusion, you can swim or sun bathe anyway you want! Another plus is the Cheyenne Crossing Store & Café that is within 1/2 mile and has a great restaurant for those morning, noon or evenings when no one feels like cooking. You really cannot pass this cabin up!

With my mom turning 70 this year and Mt Rushmore on her bucket list... we loaded up the truck and headed west. The cabin was absolutely perfect. My husband spent each morning trout fishing right outside the fron door. Best fishing was a bit upstream. Our dog loved roaming the grounds, since she's a city dog and all. The place was clean, well furnished, and the pantry one of the best stocked -name the spice, etc. it was probably there. You trylu felt like home at this cabin. Jim was a gracious host and I would recommend this place to anyone. If you don't feel like cooking - Cheyenne Crossing down the street - 1/4 mile most - has great Indian Tacos. Only downside is that mom had a hard time in the tub - yes its just a tub with a hand held shower. Otherwise perfect and I can't wait to return.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.
Owner response: We appreciate the fact that Denise took the time to write in a review. We feel that our cabin provides an exceptional rural mountain experience with the waterfalls in the front yard, fishing practically at the back door and unmatched scenery. Donna keeps the pantry and the refrigerator stocked with seasonings and condiments so that our renters only need to bring the food they plan to cook. Many folks take advantage of the gas grill, cook out and then go eat at one of our picnic tables which overlook the waterfalls and Spearfish Creek which borders our property. All towel and linens are furnished. Also, we provide paper towels, kleenex and toilet tissue. Several people have said that our place offered the most ammenities of any place they had stayed. LeMar cabin is centrally located so that it is possible to go sight-seeing during the day and return to the cabin in the evening, taking in all of the many great things the Black Hills has to offer.
