  Hello Part of team Avalanche rent the house for the weekend we had a soccer tournament for the weekend we love the house ,very clean and comfortable ,Deb make the girls feel right at home she is a wonderful person that goes out of her way to help you ,that is very hard to fiand this days the beach is two minuts waking distance,Cafe Rio is on the back yard of the house very good food along with Pixies ,my teen year old soon did not want to leave the place ,he was reading in the roof,he loved the view from there, the tournament was a succes we won second place ,we love the fact that the house is not to far from Santa Cruz bord walk Deb a big thanks from me coach Jaime and a hug from the girls thank you we see you soon Jaime Perez San Pablo CA

  We've rented this home a couple of times for family gatherings over the last few years, as well as other vacation rentals in the same area. It's difficult to find a more comfortable place that has all the amenities of this one - its close proximity to the beach, the hot tub, & a place that allows dogs. Everything is provided, such as soap, linens, beach towels, beach equipment, a BBQ, etc. Other places may not include those items; you may have to pay extra for linen rentals. The description and photos of this home are quite accurate and Deb, the property manager, does an excellent job of maintaining & stocking the home. It's always clean & tidy for our arrival. Since Deb lives just a short distance away, she's very prompt in responding to even the smallest of problems, should any arise. If you're looking for a comfy & casual beach house where you can kick back with your family & pooch and enjoy the beach or a soak in the hot tub, this is the perfect place. With the re-opening of Café Rio a year ago, you need only go a few steps now to find excellent dining just across the driveway. I particularly enjoying starting my day with coffee & a muffin at the Beach Bean. I would definitely recommend this place to family and friends. It's in a great location.

  Hi Deb, Well first it is very important to me that others are well informed about your rental and your miss representation of the house. Do others know there is no kitchen or dining room table? In fact there is no eating place except for four lucky individuals who make it to the counter that surrounds the sink before someone else. How does a family of eight or ten eat without a table and chairs? The couch was dirty, ripped and would not be accepted by Salvation Army because of the poor condition. The fireplace had a hole in the screen and paint chipping, leaving it looking offensive. Talk about offensive what about the gallon of cockroach poison under the sink. Ah the sink that may or may not have a working garbage disposal but regardless do not use the garbage disposal for NO REASON. Why. Let’s talk about something really disgusting, the throw rugs throughout the house. 5$ throw rugs with stains and holes, the nastiest rugs I have ever seen. There were only two rolls of toilet paper and a few light bulbs out. I bought both. I was drinking out of coffee mugs with chips and used towels that probably had never been bleached, wash cloths and hand towels as well. Truth be told I happen to have brought my own towels. Where exactly was the third bedroom? Downstairs where the couch TV and futon were? How was that a bedroom? Your listing stated two queens and one double bed. Double bed where? The couch bed could not be opened up because the TV cabinet and futon blocked it. How do you figure this unit sleeps 10? The hot tub was over chlorinated and my one granddaughter did get a rash from chlorine exposure. Did I tell you how much I hated staying there? How it ruined my vacation. My daughter, son-in-law and 7 grand children came from Denver, drove 20 hours to find themselves in a dump on an alley. The springs in the futon mattresses are shot and not suitable for a child to sleep on. There is no courtyard. Where the hot tub was is a depressing dark cement area outside the back door, in front of the carport, next to an alley, surrounded by a nasty house. At the rates you charge you should be ashamed of yourself for not spending 100 to 200$ now and then to replace not just broken worn out furniture and household items but to replace items that should have been thrown out months and years ago. This home was offensive filthy and nasty, with a view of the ocean and a decent shower head in the upstairs bathroom. I took some pictures and a video.

The house is an older rustic one with comfortable furnishings located just 4 houses from Rio del Mar beach parking lot. It is kept in very clean condition and regularly maintained, well stocked with linens and extra items. It is an excellent value being so close to the beach.   I came from Ma. seeking a pet friendly beach rental near the ocean! I was very surprised at how close I was and impressed by the rentals charm and view of the beach and ocean from the deck.I was very comfortable and the photos were very helpful in the listings appearance and cleanliness,The unit had all the amenities you would ever need and the hot tub was a plus!! Having my own washer/dryer was a plus too! I was just a short walk to restaurants and to a small but very well stocked grocery store with the sweetest owner who helped me with the oddest request almost daily! Her name is Shirley and she really is a plus to the little town! The restaurant Rio had a wide variety of choices and a outside patio which made it easy for me to bring my little pet out with me for a good meal! There is a coffee shop and a deli too!! So it was easy for entertaining at the rental with alot to do just walking distance away! A big thank you to Deb who helped me feel so comfortable and who was only a phone call away if needed for anything! I enjoyed it all and will definitely recommend and return next year!

  We had a great Easter vacation at this house. We had two families of four and one dog and it was a great fit for us. We arrived Friday afternoon and the house was neat and clean. We unpacked and immediatly went to the roof to sit and stare at the ocean. Great views. We cooked all weekend so we did not try any of the restaurants but can tell you that the oven, microwave, dishwasher and bbq work just fine. There were plenty of plates, utensils and pots/pans for us to use. We walked every morning and every evening on the beach. We will definately rent this house again as it is right across the street from the beach.

  First of all, the owner of this house is very nice. She will answer all your questions and will provide any information that you need. I must have emailed her 20 times before we actually got to the house. The house was clean and it looked like the pictures. We went for a wedding in Aptos, so this was very convenient for us. We visited Monterey, Santa Cruz, Capitola and other beautiful places within an hour drive or much less. The rooms don't have heaters but it only took one day to get used to sleeping with the blankets. The place is very cozy and the two floors make it confortable for more than one family.

  Owner response: We appreciate the very nice comments and the feedback. For clarification, there are wall heaters - one on each floor and a woodburning fireplace in the living room. I will add electric fireplaces in each of the bedrooms for ambiance and additional comfort.

  This condo was just perfect for our family group gathering at a nearby relative's home for Thanksgiving. Deb was fantastic with help and the property was dog friendly and comfortable. The roof area was perfect for star and beach gazing. The rooms don't have heaters but have plenty of blankets and our top room had flannel sheets. The main parts have wall heaters that work well. There was everything we needed to cook great meals. We got to take advantage of all the great hiking close by ending up with a comfortable and charming place to call home.

  When we showed up to the beach house, it was very clean. We have stayed at other places in this area and usually were hesitant about having our daughter crawl around. We didn't have this problem here. The pictures accurately reflect the condition and set up of the house. The deck on the roof is really neat. We sat out there and enjoyed the view a few times during our stay. Also, I had a dozen questions and the owner was very prompt and helpful.

  This was the first time I have rented this house, and we all have a good time. We will definitly look at this place again in the future the next time we stay in the Aptos area. The house is one block from from the beach and walking distance to all of Rio Del Mar beach area. The view from the patio for the beach was better than expected. The house is a small drive to town (groceries) and the weather was beautiful! what else can you ask for. The house was nice and confortable, but not to special where you find it hard to sit down and relax without having to be to careful. Host was friendly and helpful. Thanks Deb for everything!
