We just returned from a wonderful week-long stay! The owners, Joe and Sandy, live adjacent to the rental property, and they are incredibly nice and gracious people. Sandy works in the park, so she has a wealth of insight on Yellowstone and incredible stories to share as well as beautiful photographs that she has taken of the wildlife. We were invited to pick fresh produce from their garden and feed apples to their steer. Sandy even acknowledged a special event we celebrated while there! We truly felt like we were visiting family or friends while staying here! The house is very clean and comfortable. The kitchen is stocked not just with the usual appliances and kitchen gadgets but also with condiments, salad dressings, butter, etc. Because the temperatures can really fluctuate, Sandy has plenty of extra linens and blankets for all the beds. Yellowstone Nat'l. Park is vast, so you will be doing a lot of driving on your visit. That being said, a little extra driving was worth it to come "home" after a long day and sit out back watching the Yellowstone River flow by. Both bedrooms are at the back of the house, so if you are able to sleep with the windows open, you will listen to the peaceful sound of flowing water all night long. The only reason I am not giving a 5-star rating is because of the street light out back. I'm sorry, Sandy, I know there is nothing you can do about it, but it did make a sound sleep more difficult for those of us who are more light sensitive. Even so, we would definitely stay here again if we were to take another trip to Yellowstone!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We stayed here for a week while visiting Yellowstone Park, and it was wonderful. The house was clean and fully stocked with everything you could want (even toys for the kids). The beds are very comfortable, and surroundings are breathtaking. My children loved the river in the backyard and would have been happy to stay out there all day and play! The property is well maintained and very lovely. Joe and Sandy are very wonderful people who really will help you out with everything you need. And, they are a wealth of information about Yellowstone Park. We really enjoyed our time there and would do it again!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We had a wonderful stay at this home in July, 2012. My husband, son, and I loved the place! It was so convenient to the park, the setting is gorgeous (right on the river!) and the home itself was clean, cozy, and very comfortable. The owners are delightful people and were so helpful to us. The house was well stocked with everything we needed for a great stay. They even had bear spray for us to carry with us on our hikes in the park. Staying at this home was the highlight of our trip - our 14 year old son said it was his favorite out of all the other places we stayed during the course of our two week trip in Montana. The next time we plan a trip to Yellowstone, this home is our first choice for lodging.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We had an amazing time! Thanks to Sandy & Joe, the house was great, very clean and enough room for the family to spread out and relax after an eventful day in Yellowstone. We can't say enough positive things about the place and Sandy and Joe you're wonderful people and tremendous hosts, wish we could have spent more time with you. Seeing the wildlife in the yard and our cook out w/ the wolf will be ever-lasting memories. We will defintley stay at your place on our next visit to Yellowstone. Thank you for a wonderful time, nothing but best wishes to you both and your boys. And T-bone.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We truly enjoyed our stay at this wonderful home. The location is perfect - just a short drive to the north entrance. The house is well equipped for all your needs including a well stocked kitchen. All of the furnishings as well as the beds were quite comfortable. It was the perfect place to come "home" to and relax after spending the day in the park. The views of the river from the backyard were awesome and it was very relaxing to sit out there in the evenings. The veggies from the garden were delicious. Our hosts were wonderful and they helped to make our Yellowstone vacation perfect. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend this home to everyone.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

We (2 adults, an 8 year old boy and a 2 year old girl) spent a week at this property in july of 2011. It exceeded our expectations on every level. The hosts are the nicest, most accommodating people you will meet. The home is beautifully renovated, furnished, and maintained. (You'll swear you're the first visitors.) The grounds are beautiful...from the Yellowstone River to the lush green lawn to the lovely vegetable garden. It's proximity to the Yellowstone entrance is a perfect plus, though you may sometimes just want to stay home and enjoy this little slice of paradise. We can't wait to go back!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Our experience at Joe & Sandy's place was next to perfect. Their warmth and hospitality alone made the stay worth every penny! The location of the home on the Yellowstone River and so close to the park's entrance was also incredible. We left each morning after a good breakfast and came home in the evening to cook our own dinner. The home itself was very warm and inviting, and it had just about every amenity you can think of. Again - Joe and Sandy clearly go out of their way to make their guests feel welcome. I would (and already have), recommend this lovely vacation home to anyone!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.

We spent the beginning of May at this property while we took a class through the Yellowstone Institute. The place was perfect! Close enough to Gardiner and the park to be convenient, but just enough outside of the town to be away from it. Sandy is delightful to deal with, warm and caring and the house while not fancy is very comfortable, very clean, very yellow and in a perfect location! We had bison, elk and deers in our front or back yard almost every morning and evening! The river running in the back was also delightful. We definitely will stay at this home again!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We stayed in July, the location is perfect 5 minutes from the north entrance. Very clean home, and it is obvious Sandy and Joe take pride in their home. They were very helpful by telling us information about things to do and see in the park. The photos Sandy shared with us of animals in the park were awesome! The river was beautiful and it was in right out in back behind the home. The beds were very comfortable and the fact that they made them with the help of some friends was unbelievable. The home was well stocked for us.. Sandy and Joe sat out back with us one night and shared stories about the park and plowing in the winter, great people I can't say enough about them!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We stayed at this house in late June/early July 2011 and found it to be just a fantastic place to stay and explore Yellowstone National Park. The house was exceedingly clean with everything we needed for a weeklong stay. Plus, Sandy and Joe were simply great people. They helped us with restaurants and had lots of tips on visiting Yellowstone. I highly recommend this rental. Clean and comfortable.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers.
