Our wonderful cottage sits on the North Shore of White Lake just north of Muskegon Michigan. This wonderful lake is actually part of the White River that flows out to Lake Michigan thru a large Channel. History abounds in the White Lake area. Did you know that much of the wood used to build Chicago after the great fire came from the White Lake area?
We purchased our Cottage several years ago and while we do not get up there as often as we should, this leaves an opportunity to share our home with select renters. We are on a protected bay as the winds from Lake Michigan are normally from the Northwest so calm waters are the norm. The Sandy beach allows for sand Castles during the day and fires at night while you gasp at the great number of stars overhead. Nap in the Hammock, play a fast game of Badminton, or just lounge around on the deck. We also have two Kayaks and a paddleboat that may be used.
Old Channel Golf Club is less than 3 miles away and has 27 holes of golf available. The cottage is comfortably furnished and we ask that renters treat this as their own home and leave it like they found it upon departure.

We had a fantastic vacation in this spacious cottage-plenty of room for the entire family to spread out and relax. Lots of local amenities to keep us busy-golf within 3 miles, Lake Michigan beach within one, Michigan's Adventure amusement and water park within 10 miles. The beach and waterfront are ideal for kids, as we could sit on the back porch and keep our eye on things. Our kids loved the kayaks. The swing was a huge hit as well. We will definitely be back and look forward to another week on White Lake.Recommended for: Families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers.

My family and I truly had a wonderful time at your home. The place was well cared for and very clean. The Tait's provided us with everything we needed and were very helpful answering any questions prior to our stay. The beach was perfect for the whole family and we enjoyed many nights by the fire. We hope to come back in the future and would recommend this home to anyone. Thanks again!Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Our family of ten (10) fit very comfortably with room to spare. The beach and daily fires were the gathering spot to swim and boat in and on the beautiful waters of White Lake 1 mile from the channel entrance to Lake Michigan. The Owners made it very comfortable and inviting when we arrived. The large Yard is park like with large shade oak trees, open patio, and green grass to play on. The 40 ft.rope swing was a hit to our grand kids. A perfect week spent on the water enjoying family, boating, swimming, and many activities within the area. The owners shared their home with open arms and emaculate condition. We have rented several locations and this is by far our family favorite. Looking forward to 2012 and doing it again.Recommended for: Families with young children, pet owners, age 55+.

Our family of 7 (grandparents, parents, and three children) had a wonderful week at White Lake. We swam in White Lake and played in Lake Michigan. The area is full of things to do including great restaurants, charming towns and a dairy farm tour that's not to be missed for kids. The home was perfect and was just the right accommodation for our family. The house was clean and lovely, the beds were comfortable and there was lots of space to spread out. The outside was also very lovely with a butterfly garden, a beautiful deck and a sandy beach and swimming area. The owner was wonderful. We have stayed at other rental property in Michigan, but this was by far our favorite. We would highly recommend this cottage.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, age 55+, families with teenagers.
