Are you looking for a perfect place to de-stress - and still be only 45 minutes from Detroit? Then you have found the perfect place without the four hour drive north or west to enjoy the Great Lakes. The waves from Lake Huron are truly therapeutic. The sunrises are breathtaking, but the moonrises may impress you even more! Our lakefront home has everything you will need, whether you're planning an intimate retreat, cozy weekends with friends or family gatherings.
The beachfront house has 4 bedrooms (1 king, 1 queen, 3 full size beds), a den (another full size bed) and 2 full bathrooms. The living room has a gas fireplace and overlooks the deck and yard down to the beach. The kitchen has everything you need to make the perfect meal, but there are several nearby restaurants if you'd rather make reservations for dinner.
The kitchen opens to the sunroom which has seating and indoor dining space. The sunroom opens to the large deck that has a built-in table for outdoor dining large enough for 10 or more. The deck has a gas grill and an outdoor fridge to store your favorite beverages.
If you like to golf, there are 4 golf courses within a 20 minute drive. Downtown Port Huron is a 10 minute drive to the south offering beautiful riverfront dining, bike rentals, river/lake boat cruises. Casino gambling is across the river from Port Huron in Sarnia Canada. Historic Lexington is a 20 minute drive to the north. Lexington has a beautiful harbor, boat launch, excellent dining, quaint shops, and fishing charters. Lexington also offers weekly entertainment with free outdoor concerts and national performers at Lexington Theater.
There are several parks nearby, including Ft. Gratiot (walking distance) and Lakeport State Park Campground (a five minute drive away). Biking trails in area.
There is a cleaning fee of $100.00

Our stay here was an amazing week filled with sunshine, family and lot's of fun. The house was exceptionally clean and very accomodating for our large family. I loved seeing the sun rise every morning over the lake with a cup of coffee in my hands and total peace......now that's a way to start your day...if you're a morning person...lol Views from the deck are absolutely gorgeous all day long and at times you think you are looking at the Caribbean Sea. We cannot wait to book this beautiful home again this year.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

This rental is in a great location, but was dirty, top to bottom, (except linens) and the owners declined to refund a cleaning deposit after we spent hours cleaning to get to an acceptable level to cook and have guests.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/3
