  This is a very nice place to stay on St. Simons, a short walk to the Village and pier, and maybe a mile or so from the public beaches at Massengale Park and the Coast Guard station (we rode our bikes to the beach on a couple of occasions). The condo was peaceful and quiet, had plenty of room for the four of us, and the kitchen was very well equipped. A nice amenity was a lockable storage area for the bikes. Unless you insist on being right next to the water, and are willing to pay the premium that goes along with it, I can't think of much to improve upon.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with young children.

  This property was exactly as shown in photos that we reviewed before rental. It was homey, spacious and very clean. The owner was very accomodating with information that we needed and we will definately stay again if we are down that way in the future. We had a wonderful week of shopping, exploring, golfing and enjoying the beaches and pool. It was a perfect getaway. There are several excellent restaurants nearby but our favorite was Barbara Jean's. Excellent food at a reasonable price. Another excellent place was the Crab Trap, alittle more pricey, but the food was excellent. Loved their fries. St. Simon's was a beautiful place!!

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

  This was our first experience with VRBO and it could not have been more smooth. The owner was friendly and efficient during the rental arrangements, the entire process was flawless, and the condo was exactly as described. The condo was very clean and comfortably equipped. The washer and dryer were a nice bonus. The grounds were beautifully maintained, and the location was a very short walk from the village. We are definitely planning a return visit next year. You will not be disappointed with this rental.

  This condo was in a nice subdivision (Harbour Oaks) and a good location for whatever your vacation entails. The property is well-maintained and clean, and had all the basic needs for a family. The coziness of the condo made everyone feel comfortable. There is a pretty good walk to the pool, but it was no big deal for us. The pool area is very nice and seems well-maintained. I was concerned at first that it might be crowded, because of the large size of the subdivision, but it always seemed to be fine (usually 3-7 others using it). The owners were very courteous and all the procedures for payment and check-in/out were easy. We were lucky in that the upper floor was vacant during our stay. This could perhaps be an issue if the upper floor tenants were loud, although that would definitely not deter me from staying again. During our restful stay, we went to the East Beach (about 5 minutes by car) each day, visited the Harbour Oaks pool regularly, and walked around in the village area a couple of times (the area with the pier/lighthouse/restaurants/shopping--just 3-4 blocks from the condo). We would also recommend visiting Jekyll Island for Driftwood Beach (never seen anything like that before), and taking a look at the historic homes. One of the aspects of the island that struck us was the beautiful canopy of old trees along many of the streets--very picturesque! We had a great family trip to St. Simons, and this very nice condo made for a comfortable, relaxing stay.

  Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway.

  Our rental experience for this unit was wonderful from the beginning! Owners very accomadating, personable and efficient in getting everything ready for our arrival. The Unit is lovely, very comfortable and close (within walking distance) to the Village shops, restaurants and pier. The storage area was great for us to put our bikes in safe keeping and the covered parking is a plus also. We would definitely stay here again!
