This apartment was excellent, spacious, well equipped and convenient. Unfortunately the butcher shop below was closed and under renovation but we sampled many treats from the two patisseries and sampled Socca in the Old Town. Jean was extremely helpful and always available to make sure we had a good time. We had three amazing weeks in Nice, while we did many day trips we still had time to enjoy the local area. Walking the Promenade, exploring the Old Town and the Port area. The first week was spent at the World Figure Skating Championships inside the Palais de Exposition. Great facility and so convenient to get to via the tram. The bus service in Nice is excellent, if travelling by bus to places like Antibes or Cannes, I suggest walking into the Square and catching the bus from the start point. The buses get very crowded and it is standing room only by the time the bus reaches the Promenade. For one Euro it is hardly a complaint, only a suggestion! We found the regional trains a better option, apart from Eze Village. It is an easier climb down the hill than up. Catch the bus to the Village and then do the scenic walk down to the train station 600 metres below. A highlight for us was the 2-hour walk around St Jean Cap Ferrat, the views are spectacular. We also spent one day at the Masters Tennis in Monte Carlo Country Club. We hope to return and will definitely stay in one of Minh’s apartments, she is great to deal with. We had friends stay for part of our visit and this apartment is perfect for two couples, very well equipped kitchen. Many thanks Minh and Jean.
Owner response:Merci Helen for your great review and tips to enjour the Riviera! We hope to have you back very soon!

Nice and the apartment were outstanding. Minh and Jean are the perfect hosts. Minh was extremely helpful to answer all of our questions ahead of time and provided the most perfect apartment for our month-long visit to Nice. Everything was there including beach mats/umbrella, umbrellas (although we didn't have a bit of rain), fully stocked kitchen, linens. The apartment description is very accurate. In addition, we found lots of local information (travel books, train/bus schedules, brochures) in the living room chest. The bedrooms are spacious (super comfortable beds) and the living room very comfortable & relaxing. The view from the balcony and the sea breezes were outstanding. Jean, our on-site manager was so helpful and recommended many good spots for eating and touring. He was always available to help us or answer questions. The apartment is very conveniently located - one block from beach. Butcher on the ground floor, convenience stores/mini grocery store across the street, best coffee in the bar downstairs (I took my coffee cup down to Daniel each morning for the best cup of coffee), best croissants/baguettes in the bakery downstairs as well. A larger grocery store is a block away -- great selection of wine there too. Train station is about a 15 minute walk; Old Town is about a 15 minute walk. We really liked having two bedrooms -- our kids visited for one week and friends from home came another week. It was very roomy for guests. I would recommend this apartment and will return again next year. We took day-trips every day as you can travel by bus to many locations for only 1 Euro. The huge market in Ventimiglia, Italy on Friday was a great adventure too. (12 Euros round trip by train). I give this experience 5 stars!
Owner response:Merci Susie & JJ! We were delighted to have you, and it was great to follow your adventures on your blog! A bientot!

We visited Nice from May 15 - May 22nd, 2011. Words cannot describe the beauty of Nice and the amazing time we had. We walked all over Nice, spent time at the private beach down the road, rented a scooter to see the villages, visited the beautiful village of Eze, rented a boat in Ville de France and had an incredible meal by the seaside, rented a car to go to the Cannes Film Festival, visited a few casinos, enjoyed the food in the restaurants, parasailed together and even drove a Ferrari Modena down the strip of the Promenade! We had an incredible time and the scenery is so breath taking and romantic. The condo was more than we expected. For the amount of time that we were there... it is perfect. It was beautiful sitting on the balcony enjoying a glass of wine, watching the people stroll along at night, or enjoy a pastry first thing in the morning taking in the fresh air. The condo is very comfortable, and the amenities are all there for you. The kitchen has everything... though we ate out, we did enjoy picking up cheese and meat with a fresh baguette and sitting on the balcony. A beautiful job was put in to the apartment making our stay so memorable. It is very cozy and quaint. The people in the neighbourhood are very friendly. We did not have any difficulties communicating with anyone. I cannot thank Minh enough for all of the suggestions, and providing the accomadations to make our trip to Nice memorable, romantic and exciting!!!!!!!!! We felt so welcome, and so at home...even before we got there! I would also like to thank Jean. Very hospitable! Such a bubbly person, making sure we were well taken care of and knew everything there was to know about the apartment and the area. Nice is a beautiful place to be. Those that live there may never appreciate the beauty that Frank & I saw and enjoyed. We truly would love to go back!!!!!!!!!
Owner response:Dear Andrea & Frank Wow, you did so much in a week! Thank you for your review and we hope to have you back soon.

Many thanks to Jean for his invaluable assistance and to Minh for seeing that the apart lacked nothing to make it comfortable. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The bus system is amazing. We enjoyed Antibes & Biot, the Musee Beaux arts, the Place du Monastere & of course just exploring Nice. Take a trip to St Jean Cap Ferrat & walk around the Cap - beautiful walk & views. It has been a great month. Time to say au revoir.

The location of the apt was a great base to explore the French Riviera, take advantage of the great restaurants in the area and the regional bus to explore the great towns surrounding the area. We have had a trip of a lifetime!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The apt has a bright, cheerful atmosphere. We enjoyed the big windows and balcony. It always provided a 1st class perch to observe the action below,. We loved being so close to all sorts of shops - from grocers to bakers and butchers. The boutiques on rue de France were fun too. One of the best features is the closely seaside, where we put miles & miles on our shoes as we walked daily. We very much appreciated Jean's (on site manager) quick response to any concerns. We really appreciate the wonderful attitude. He is a wonderful asset to this apartment! I just wish our stay had not gone by so quickly!

We have had a wonderful 3 weeks here, have done so much but still had time to wander around and get to know the neighborhood. Monsieur Jean has been most helpful and the apt is wonderfully situated. It has been delightful just sitting on the balcony & watching the world go by.

We enjoyed our 3 week visit to Nice very much. The location of the apt was ideal - close to the beach, restaurants, shops, bust stop and train station. We did not need to rent a car as we traveled by bus to many towns for only 1 Euro - so cheap. We made day trips to Menton,, Cannes, Eze, Saint Paul & Vence, Monaco, Grasse. We went on the bus and had no trouble at all getting there & back. The above mentioned places are a " must see" while visiting here. There are some good information books in the chest drawers in the living room. That will highlight these beautiful towns.

We have arrived back in Canada after a wonderful time in France. The apartment was roomy and well-equipped and the view great in all directions. Jean was very cordial and helpful, driving us to the airport at Nice for our trip to Corsica and we had a good conversation about art and artists on the way. Thank you. David & Suzanne

This is our first trip to France & we have absolutely savoured every minute of our time here. We have walked for miles every day, discovering something new each time. This apt has been perfect - everything one could need & wonderful to be able to sit on balcony, with a view of the sea & just watch all the activity going on. We would certainly choose Minh's apt again. As we depart for Florence we leave with wonderful memories of our time here.

We have stayed at this rental twice (4 weeks in '07 & 2 weeks in '09), as well as at the owner's rental in Old Nice in '06 (10 days). On each occasion our experience with the units and service (thanks to Jean) were nothing if not superior. Clean, comfortable, well priced, and even better than the pictures show, we would not hesitate to (1) recommend these units, & (2) to return to one or other of these units in the future (as we hope to do later on in 2011)

We had a wonderful time here in Nice-our vacation here was the perfect combination of sightseeing (Monaco, old Nice, museums) and relaxation (trips to beach), cooking dinner at the apt using fresh bread & cheese. We are all in love with this charming apt - it has everything you could imagine you'd ever need and Jean (property manager) is wonderful. When we come back we will be sure to stay here again!

Great location, we found it a real home from home as it's so well equipped! We enjoyed cooking in, as well as eating out. Dining out: a lot of great "eateries". Final thanks to Jean who gave us a welcome at the airport, was so informative about the apart/neighborhood, and he will escort us to the airport tomorrow for our journey home! We've had a really enjoyable stay, relaxing time, great family time! Hope to come back in the future! Au revoir Nice.

This has been a great place for a family to stay. The proximity to the beach is great + walking to Vieux-Nice isn't far + a nice way of stretching our legs. It's a great spot, Minh + Jean was a great welcoming. We were quite delayed + landed after midnight. Jean knew to check the airlines & waited for us. It was great to be welcomed by such a friendly person + he came back the next day to orient us to the apt. Thanks.

There's nothing with quite such allure as the light in the fair Cote d'Azur. Picasso, Matisse and Cezanne Paint outdoors whenever they Cannes. Matisse, Cezanne and old Pablo Paint portraits and still lifes and tableaux. Picasso, Cezanne, and Matisse Paint their work best sur la mer pres de Nice. This is our third stay here, and we do think of this apt as home. Home is the place where, when you get there, you know just where the coffee mugs are. Thank you, Jean, for your unfailing warm welcomes to a well-kept apartment. We thank you, Minh, for making possible our marvelous vacations in Nice. we many not be francais but you have surely made us nicois.

Of this apt, the things we like the most was the homey feel to it, the sun coming in thru the windows in the sitting room in the A.M. The proximity of it to the marvelous Promenade and the great little shops, cafes, etc in the neighborhood. Of course Jean (Property Manager) was a big help and we were lucky to be here when the owner was visiting so that we got a chance to meet her. She was delightful. We will be leaving but we will be coming back. Note from owner: Jean is my wonderful property manager. I am very lucky to have him as he is a very patient & helpful person. All comments are from our on-site guestbook.
