Casabela is a wonderful place to stay! it is so comfortable, clean, and calm. The backyard oasis is the best part - the pool, outdoor kitchen, lounge - every detail is beautiful and thoughtful. The house is a great location - so close to beautiful beaches, cute restaurants and bars, and a short drive from the airport. My friends and I had an amazing time at Casabela, and we can't wait to return. I highly recommend!

Owner response: Erica - we are so glad we could accommodate your girls getaway. You are one of the first guests to enjoy our newly added outdoor grill and kitchen as well as our remodeled lounge area. I'm glad it was a hit! We hope to see you again next year!! Thank you for your visit!

This was an ideal place to stay and a very welcoming environment. The house is airy and beautifully decorated and was spotlessly clean. We really enjoyed the full kitchen and being able to enjoy our meals on the terrace overlooking the pool. The pool itself was also very clean and there are few things more relaxing than kicking back with friends in your own private pool in PR late at night with a nice drink and looking at the stars. The house is also very close to 2 really nice beaches, but with the pool right outside we were very happy to just spend a couple of days just relaxing at "home". Thank you so much Casabela for such a great experience in Puerto Rico!

Owner response: Sara - We are really happy that you enjoyed your stay at CasaBela. We strive to make it a home away from home. We hope to see you back here again soon!

Julie

Owner response: Julie and guests - we are happy you experience and explored the beauty of Puerto Rico on your very first visit to the island. We hope you continue to make Puerto Rico a future vacation destination!

This home is a winner!!! It is exactly as described in the listing, very safe and clean. The bedrooms are spacious, clean and air conditioned. The pool is a great addition to the home and gets nice and warm for evening swims after the beach and exploration. The outdoor shower and bathroom were really convenient during our BBQ’s. Everything is really close; surf lessons at Jobos Beach, restaurants, hiking trails in Guajataca and La Punta, Toro Negro Mountains (the highest point in Puerto Rico), supermarket, bakeries, you name it. There are several beaches and swimming holes no more than 10 minutes away. And for those of you into golf check out the Borinquen Golf course, we spent some time on the driving range and it was a blast. If you would rather play the slots, the casino is just down the road from the golf course; great dinner at the restaurant. This home is in the best location with access to entertainment and relaxation in every direction. Jenny, the owner, was helpful and attentive to all of your questions prior to your arrival and upon your arrival Bonnie takes over with the same hospitality which gives you the feeling as though you are with family. We were so happy with the home and the location that it was difficult to leave. We celebrated a birthday and a university graduation here and it was one of the best vacations on the island to date. Thank you Jenny, thank you Bonnie, and thank you Puerto Rico; SEE YA SOON!!!

Owner response: We are so happy AnaRosa and her family enjoyed all of CasaBela's accommodations and their time on the island! We strive to make all of our guests feel like family and hope we made the birthday and graduation trip a memorable one! We hope to see you back soon!

This is our second visit to CasaBela for a weekend getaway. I have to say that the first trip we did not leave and go out much as we just wanted to hang out at the pool and take it easy. This trip...quite the different story! We went down to the beach and purchased fresh fish and lobster (when I say fresh, I mean the fisherman was not even out of the boat when we bought it).The house had all the accomodations needed to not only cook the lobster but to grill the fish outside. The kids got to hang out at the pool and we played Yahtzee and Uno more times that I care to count but that was the idea of going away for the weekend. The grand finale was Sunday when we went to the beach and the kids took surfing lessons. The propery is well maintained, the space is more than adequate and the location is great (just minutes to bakeries, great pizza and of course the local fisherman for fresh lobster!). We will be back again next year!

Owner response: Jason, we're so glad that your second trip back to CasaBela was filled with fresh lobster, surfing, and lots of Yahtzee and Uno! What a perfect getaway for you and your family. We look forward to having you back next year!

We rented CasaBela for the entire month of February and we enjoyed it big time! The house is a perfect match for us and thanks to the ladies that operate the biz it is very well equiped. The backyard area with the pool and sitting areas is perfect for reading, playing games, grilling out, napping and yes...a little homework for the grandkids! And we all enjoyed the pool. We liked the local eateries particularly The Ocean View Hotel and Karambolla. We traveled the area and enjoyed Rincon (IlFaro Park), Crashboat Beach, Jobas Beach and Fisherman's Village with all the small eateries and bars. We found the people of Puerto Rico very friendly and helpful which says it all. We are now planning our visit for next February. We will be back!!

We arrived to Casabela and found that the pictures of the property were as posted. The house was beautiful and had everything anyone would need and want. Coco met us and was so pleasent and more then willing to help in any way she could... Thanks Coco... Anything that was needed was on site and then some including games, Wifi, cable and a beautiful deck and pool. The outdoor bathroom was convenient and the whole house was clean and well kept. Truely Casabela would be a great stay for anyone. The house was very secure and in a great location. Minutes from Jobos beach the property is on a main road and easy to locate. From horseback riding on the beach to visiting the near by Casino in Aguadilla our family had so much fun it was priceless... Oh yeah the beach at Crash Boat was outstanding. We are already making plans for our return visit to this great house and location. You guys Rock... Thanks for a great vacation!!!!!

I would definelty recommend Casabela to family and friends. It's has all the comforts of home that one would need while on a vacation and more. It is easy to get to and close to Jobo Beach. The property is kept nice, clean is very secure. During my stay if I had a question or any concerns about anything I was able to reach Coco anytime and that was a plus. She was awesome and it was a pleasure meeting her. I do plan to return again. Thank you for a great vacation stay for myself and my family.

I AND MY FAMILY VISITED PUERTO RICO AND STOOD AT CASA BELA FROM AUGUST 9, 2010 - AUGUST 17,2010. WE ARRIVED AND MET BONNIE, CARETAKER OF THE HOME. SHE WAS AWAITING WITH KEYS AND INSTRUCTIONS OF THE POOL AND THE HOME. THE HOME IS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. THE BEDROOMS WERE PERFECT AND AIR CONDITIONED. KITCHEN FULLY EQUIPPED AND BONNIE HAD INFORMED US THAT IF THERE WAS ANYTHING WE WOULD NEED TO FEEL FREE AND CONTACT HER. DURING OUR VISIT IT WAS THE RAINY SEASON BUT THE BEAUTIFUL POOL CAME IN HANDY. MY NIECE 11 AND NEPHEWS 17 AND 19 ENJOYED IT VERY MUCH. AS WELL AS THE ADULTS. JENNY AND BONNIE MADE SURE OUR STAY WAS PLEASANT IN PUERTO RICO. THE BACK OF THE HOUSE HAD TABLE AND CHAIRS , BARBECUE GRILL VERY NICE FOR ENTERTAINING AND JUST ENJOYING WATCHING THE KIDS IN THE POOL. MY FAMILY DID MAKE TRIPS TO SAN JUAN, VISITED THE LIGHTHOUSE, CRASH BOAT AND VISITED FAMILY. THE HIGHLIGHT OF OUR DAY WAS RETURNING TO THE HOME KNOWING WE CAN ENJOY OURSELVES AT THE POOL. THIS HOME WAS DEFINATELY THE BEST CHOICE AND THE BEST TRIP TO PUERTO RICO THAT WE HAVE HAD. I DEFINATELY WOULD RECOMMEND THIS RENTAL TO MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY. THE OWNER JENNY AND HER SISTER BONNIE AGAIN WERE VERY NICE AND VERY ACCOMMODATING. THE HOME WAS VERY CLEAN, COMFORTABLE AND PERFECT FOR A COUPLE OR A FAMILY. AGAIN I WOULD LIKE TO THANK JENNY AND BONNIE FOR A WONDERFUL STAY IN PUERTO RICO IN CASABELA. FROM WENDY OF QNS N.Y.

Even though it was the rainy season, we are happy they made the best out of their stay. We hope to have this family back very soon!

We are a party of 4 adults & 2 kids & 1 small dog and we loved it. The house is very secure!! With storm doors on the front & the back, electric gate & electric garage door with 2 car parking, the pool has a safety screen around it, the yard is large and securely fenced, the kids & dog could be outside alone without the worry of them wondering from the house. The rooms were large & comfortable. The kitchen & living area were also large & comfortable. The owner's are great! We had no problems with the location or the house. The beach is a short drive in either direction from the house. My kids loved it and so did we! Thanks for everything Jenny & Bonnie!

Our vacation in Casa Bela was excellent. The house is very nice and comfortable. It has parking available for more than four vehicles. The kitchen is super comfortable. It is equipped with all necessary electrical appliances and for the whole family. It has internec and a spacious living room. The rooms are super comfortable whit air condition and very large. Its excellent beds to relax. The decoration of the house is very nice and pleasant. The pool is perfect for the enjoyment of the family. The pool has baby safety gates. It has BBQ area. The House located is 3 minutes from the beach by car. It has a Pizzeria just steps or in 30 seconds car. In five minutes you reach the town of Isabela and there you will find bakery and supermarket. If Deceased vacation with your family, away from the bustle of the city, I recommend bela home. In it you can enjoy it the perfect atmosphere of tranquility and security. The person in charge of the house will serve you with great kindness and responsibility ... ! Thanks Jenny Sacha and Ruth

The house faces empty lots which are overgrown with weeds and vegetation to the front, back and on one side. We were disappointed to find the grass had overgrown and overtaken most of the house on one side and that the front needed landscaping. The other homes in the immediate area were abandoned. In one of the bathrooms the water needed to run 10 or more minutes first in order for it to get hot. This proved very frustrating for our family of 6 to take showers. A note in that bathroom instructed you not to flush dirty toilet paper but to put it in a wastebasket instead. The guests before us followed these orders and we found a garbage can full of dirty toilet paper in the bathroom. The televisions didn’t really work well with reception extremely limited and sporadic. During our first night at Casabella, I was bitten by an unknown bug (not surprising with all the overgrown vegetation around the house) and ended up spending a day at the local municipal hospital getting intravenous treatments for a skin infection and severely swollen hand. The local hospital had one doctor, one nurse and one janitor/nurse’s assistant, although everyone there was kind, knowledgeable and concerned about my well being and my hand, as I am a diabetic. On the second night of our stay we had a blackout and were in total darkness for hours. We found out this happens a lot in the area so many of the homes have backup generators, however, Casabella only had an ample supply of flashlights. But the most frightening incident happened on our third night there. There was a small bar about 100 feet across from the house which we thought was also abandoned (since everything else in the area is). This bar, however, was actually very active during the night. One night around 1:00am we thought people were trying to break into the house only to realize that it was actually a shootout right near the house. Imagine being woken up in the middle of the night by gunfire and a woman’s screams and then having police surround the area. We were terrified. All of this happened not more than 100 feet from the house in an area where there were no immediate neighbors. Overall, we really wanted to leave the house but were unable to find accommodations elsewhere on such short notice, especially since it was the 4th of July weekend and we were a family of six. Reluctantly we stayed at Casabella and made the best of the situation. The whole experience is not one I wish on any other family

    Recommended for: Adventure seekers

Owner response: It was a disappointing experience for all involved. On their way to Isabela, the family ran into terrible traffic. Upon arrival, Sylvia was already upset and immediately began to complain about the overgrown vegetation and empty lots that surrounded the outside parameters of the home. Constant rain showers fuel the growth of green, lush vegetation throughout the island during the rainy season of April-November. Harsh rains can weaken TV satellite and digital signals as well. There is one neighbor on the left and the home across the street is vacant because the widowed elderly woman who lived there could no longer maintain it. Sylvia was pleased with the interior of the home, but disappointed with the surroundings of the location. When the home is vacant for a few days it’s necessary to run the shower for hot water. It’s no longer necessary after this initial step has been taken. We encourage guests not to flush toilet paper for protection of the septic system and environment. Bathroom runs were made while waiting for the family, but did not yield a can full of toilet paper. Sylvia received an insect bite on her hand while at the beach. I gave her the number and directions to the local hospital and checked up on her throughout the day, offering my assistance and concern for her wellbeing. Rolling blackouts are typical of island life and impossible to predict when they will occur or how long they will last-normally no more than 30 minutes and on very rare occasions can last a few hours. We provide flashlights and lanterns while the backyard is equipped with solar powered lights to help navigate families through this experience until power returns. I’m sorry the family experienced such a frightening incident so close to home. I was never made aware of this and only heard about it after reading the review. This is of great concern, as no incident like this has ever occurred in the three years we’ve rented this property. I’m still trying to clarify the events with Sylvia so that I may discuss it with local authorities. On the day of their arrival I offered to find the family a more suitable rental that would meet their needs. I was confident I’d be able to find something regardless of short notice or holiday week. I agreed to waive the cancellation fee and return their money in full. They decided to stay and “make the best of the situation”. Although it was a disappointing experience for us both, I’m sure Sylvia gained much wisdom as I did.

The house was very comfortable specially for a family with kids and have all the equipment that you need to spend a long vacation. The pool area is totally safe for small kids since it has a security fence all over the pool. The bedrooms are very nice decorated and we totally liked the fact that we dont need to bring beach chairs, towels, linens and pottery from our home. The house is very well located, less than 5 minute drive from Jobos beach (beautiful clear crystal waters!!!) and very near Shacks area (nice snorkeling!!). Definetely our Isabela's vacation house!!

Absolutely Fabulous Casabela is a beautiful home. I stayed for a week and absolutely fell in love with it!!! The beach is right around the corner and it is just breathtaking. The house is beautiful and very comfortable. You feel right at home as soon as you arrive. The deck in the back is great for BBQs and relaxing. I see they put in a pool, so you know what that means….I am defiantly coming back for at least two weeks this time. One week was just not enough. The owners are great and easy to work with, they’ll go as far as picking you up at the airport if need be. I am recommending this house to everyone I know!!! I love it!!! It's like my home away from home. ;)

We picked them up at the airport, helped them get a rental car and made sure they were well situated at CasaBela. We hope to have them back soon so that they may enjoy the brand new pool that was installed soon after they left.

Casa Bela is a beautiful home. The owner even met us at the airport! It was spotless on our arrival and equipped with: toiletries, bath towels, beach towels & chairs, cooking utensils, dishes, drinking cups, etc. The bathrooms are beautiful and the kitchen has updated appliances. This is a well maintained home. We felt very safe in this area (traveling with a 4 and 7 year old). There is an internet connection, bring your laptop. You can really discover all of Western Puerto Rico from here. Casa Bela is at the top top of the island and Cabo Rojo at the bottom - a trip of about 2hrs. Jobos beach (minutes from the house) is perfect for children because there is a protected cove (the waters are not rough). Many of the other beaches on the west coast are mainly for surfers. We rented a car and drove very easily to various locations of Porta del Sol. The house is situated minutes away from a main highway. Also the house is about 15 minutes from the airport. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again! Thank you.

We rented CasaBela without knowing the area very well and were pleasantly suprised that the house was in a secure and perfect location. The house is conveniently located on a very accessible road between Isabela and Aguadilla. The beaches were very beautiful and within a short 5 minute drive. The house itself is a wonderful place to just kick back and relax. The house is clean and spacious. The deck in the back is large and great for barbeques. The property manager and owner were very helpful in finding things to do nearby and in answering any questions we had. They were very responsive any time we needed to contact them during our stay. Overall the vacation was great and Casabela played a big part in that. Our family looks forward to visiting Casabela during future vacations.

I've been to Puerto Rico several times and I've been to every part of the island. This was, by far, my best trip to Puerto Rico! The northwestern part of the island has the most gorgeous beaches! I wish I had known this years ago because I would have started vacationing in here then. I went in mid December for a week and my experience of this rental far exceeded the listing. Jenny provided excellent customer service and was quick and kind in answering all my e-mails and phone calls. The layout of the rental was perfect and it was extremely clean and very spacious - I was vacationing with two other people, and the space allowed for group activities as well as lots of privacy. The rental had all the amenities we needed, great restaurants nearby and fun activities to do. Another big plus is that it's very close to the airport. I am so thrilled I found this place and look forward to coming back soon. I have been recommending it to all of my family and friends!

Owner response: It was a pleasure to host Nina and her family! Although she had been to Puerto Rico several times before, she had never been to the northwestern part of the island and she was absolutely surprised by it's pristine beaches - (Jobos, Montones, Shacks). We look forward to their return!

My family and I had a wonderful time in this home. It was spacious, nicely furnished and very well maintained. We found everything we needed to cook ourselves a delicious turkey dinner and we loved the backyard deck. Thank you so much for letting us stay here. You have a lovely home and would recommend this to our family and friends.

Upon my arrival at Casa Bela, I felt immediately relaxed from the hustle and bustle of NYC. Vacation homes are my first choice when deciding where to stay, because they are ultimately better than staying at a resort. Accommodating in every way as a hotel stay; this tranquil vacation home offers a less expensive opportunity to stretch out and be at home while enjoying the beautiful beaches and culture of Isabela, PR. This exclusive, spacious, and magnificently furnished 3-Bedroom 2-Bathroom home is a blessed escape from crowded tourist traps. At their leisure, guests will enjoy a private yard complete with a shaded veranda adorned with hammocks and a generous sun deck. A short drive to the market and a fully equipped kitchen allows you save money while preparing your own meals to be savored in the romantic glow of the sunset cascading through the French doors. Off the kitchen is the convenience of a laundry room, so pack lightly. There is even a workout area, right by the living room!!! No more vacation weight gain excuses :) Jobos beach is a short 10 min drive away, in no time you’ll be basking in the sun, watching surfers brave the waves or partaking in a little snorkel yourself. Afterward, you can enjoy local food at the restaurants on the beach. There are many attractions in this town, my favorite was the Tropical Trails Horseback Riding, be sure to book one for yourself. A beautiful historic trail and sunset ride on the beach! A must see!!! Guests planning a trip to the lovely Caribbean Island of Puerto Rico will not be disappointed in Casa Bela! Happy journeys!!!

First I want to say THANK YOU to Boni and Coco for making everything possible on my staying at the house. I went to PR on August of 2008 for my honeymoon and the house completed the perfect gift that I could give my wife. She was amaze with the house. The house is absolutely beautiful and big enough for us to have a comfortable stay. We enjoy the peacefulness and the closeness of all beaches and stores. All the amenities in the house was a plus to make us feel right at home. We hope all future guest enjoy their stay as much as we did. We will recommend this house to everyone.

This house is absolutely gorgeous. The owners were very gracious and helped make sure we had everything we needed on our vacation. It was relaxing and peaceful to sit out on the deck soaking in the night air or laying out to get some sun before you hit the beach. Adventure isn't far as everything is just a short drive awat, You will love this house...it makes for a wonderful home away from home.
