  I came across designer and artist Jane Coslicks blog one day and read her story about salvaging and restoring old cottages on Tybee Island which is how I found Mermaid Cottages.The staff at Mermaid Cottges were very friendly and professional and made sure we had everything we needed to ensure we had a wonderful stay. It was nice to get out of run of the mill hotel chain room and stay in a charming renovated cottage from the past. The collection of cottages that Jane has salvaged and restored are just so charming and her decor and colors give every cottage a individual beachy feel. Many of her cottages have been profiled in "Cottages and Bungelows" magazine as well in other books. We loved Mermaid Cottages and had a wonderful stay on Tybee!

  My daughter just adored this cottage! The gardens are lovely and it is a cozy getaway! Highly recommend it.

  I am teary-eyed writing this review as I miss Fish Camp Cottage so much!! It was a girl's weekend along w/ our "furry babies" and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the home. The completely fenced-in yard was such a huge hit. We felt so secure knowing we could just open a door and let the dogs explore the yard. We relaxed in the adirondack chairs by the fire pit every afternoon and into the evening while our dogs roamed the yard. If we weren't outside in the front yard, we were on the screened-in side porch. Even though we consider ourselves fairly smart women, we had trouble turning on the tv. The Mermaids came to our rescue; however, we never turned it back on after they left (sorry Ladies). The house had such wonderful outdoor areas to enjoy, it seemed silly to be inside watching tv. The house was immaculate and decorated so cute. We loved reading the history of the house and seeing what it looked like before and after. WOW....what a lot of work...but SO worth it. The location is wonderful. Close to the back , no traffic at all (unless you count people out walking their dogs or riding their bikes). I really don't think I ever saw a car drive by. Beds were super comfortable. Surprisingly, even the daybed on the front porch. This is our 3rd time renting from the Mermaids and this is, by far, our favorite cottage/location. We are already planning a trip in June and just counting down the days until it's TYBEE TIME!! Please don't hesitate to rent this cottage. You will NOT be disappointed....well, only until it's time to leave!!

  We visited Fish Camp Cottage for a few days in April during our two teenage sons' spring break. We were looking for a quiet spot that wasn't too far away from beach and restaurants. Fish Camp Cottage was perfect being only a few blocks away from both. We cooked in a couple of nights and found the kitchen to be well-equipped and spacious. With 2 bedrooms/1.5 baths and a quirky layout the property was good for 4 people but may feel crowded with more. All in all it was a great time and we may stay there again sometime.

  From the moment we walked in the door til the moment we left, we had an amazing time in this adorable little cottage. Our family of four and our dog was ready to move in and never go back home. The beds were very comfortable and the cottage was equipped with everything we needed! We will be back!

  This cottage is adorable! We came to Tybee to celebrate my birthday. I was a little worried about the weather, as Hurricane Sandy was passing by. Fish Camp Cottage is so charming, we could have spend the entire weekend inside. The weather turned out to be fine, no rain, just a bit windy. The kids were able to play on the beach. The cottage had everything we needed, was so comfortable, and plenty of room for all of us, including Rosie, the labradoodle.

  Everything went so smoothly..from making the reservation to getting access to the property. Communication was excellent and so were the directions and instructions. I reserved this place for friends and they could not have been happier. Their original plans were to drive to town most of the weekend and skulk around some antique stores. They reported: "The property was so delightful we stayed at Tybee the entire weekend and only left when we had to check out". Sounded like it was a hit! and from what I heard everything they needed was stocked and it was wonderful.

  I spent many summers at Tybee growing up and I am now 61 years old. We have stayed at quite a few of the Mermaid Cottages, but Fish Camp is my favorite. It reminds me so much of the "old days" at Tybee. All of the cottages have been great and the mermaids have made our visits that much better. I will be retiring in the near future and we plan to make Tybee our second home by staying with Mermaid Cottages.
