This beautiful lodge style home has so many things to make your vacation all it can be. It comes equipped with kayaks, life jackets, a boat , bicycles, fishing poles, crab pots, fishing dock , boat launch, BBQ, crib, highchair, walker, RV hookup and an 8 person Hot Tub!! just to meniton a few.
Anchors Away, Lake Shore House sits directly on Garrison Lake. The view is exceptional from every room either of the lake or the woods and a wrap around deck so that you can fully enjoy the outdoors.
There is a boat dock and boat launch located on the property.
The home is decorated with antiques and will take you back to the days of visiting the lake and beach as a child.
When you walk in the door on the right is the sunporch with an adorable wicker day bed, floor to ceiling windows to fill the room with light and hanging plants. This is the perfect spot to curl up with a book and read the hours away or safely watch one of our famous winter storms. On the left is the utility room with washer and dryer. Down the hall and to the living room with large screen TV, DVD player, cozy woodstove, piano and oh, the View!
The kitchen is fully equipped with all dish and cookware, microwave, coffee maker, dishwasher. Island Jen Air cooktop stove and breakfast bar. There is a connecting dining room with dining table and a door that leads out to the deck overlooking Garrison Lake.
Down the hall are two bathrooms, one with large soaking tub, and three bedrooms. The first bedroom has a queen bed and a private entrance leading to the deck. The second bedroom has a double bed and crib. The third bedroom has a King bed beautiful lodge style decor and a unique finish wood stove. The bedding is so comfortable, you just want to sink right in!
The basement level has a full bathroom kitchenette with mini fridge, microwave and sink, full size pool table/ping pong, leather furniture and two full sized beds, one is a trundle. Perfect for the younger adults to have their own place to hang out. The door leads out to the dock on Garrison Lake and the Hot Tub.
This lodge style home is the perfect setting for the active family who wants to come and experience all that the amazing Southern Oregon Coast has to offer.
From the wood land yard you also have a view of the Pacific Ocean and less than a mile from the beach access for surfing,crabbing, clamming, beach combing, hiking and agate hunting. You can kayak, canoe orboat across the lake to a sandy beach on the Pacific Ocean. The lake and ocean are only seperated from eachother by a sand bar.

This house was so much more than expected! They had everything and then some. It was myself, husband and our 2 dogs and there was more than enough room for us and them in the house and the huge yard. We loved the homey-ness of the house and the privacy. They had left us frozen pizzas and a few things to get us started. They had even left a bag of dog snacks for our girls. The huge garage was full of toys!! We took full advantage of all the fun stuff they had there for you to do. The managment company was really good also. Our Key to the garage wouldn't work and they responded right away. They even helped us with other potential rental properties. If they didn't answer the phone, they called right back with in minutes. We also got to meet the owners of the home. They are really great people and we couldn't thank them enough for opening their home to strangers. Our only complaint was the king bed. But with only 2 of us, we had plenty of places to sleep. Within 5 min of being there we were already to reserve for next year! Great home with all the things you need to make you at home! Thank you again!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, pet owners, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children, people with disabilities.

We had a family reunion (8 adults) at the anchors away house. During our stay the sewer backed up and the fridge stopped working. We stuck with the property while the repairs were made over a couple day period and then asked for the rental company to refund us for part of the cost of our stay. Seemed like a fair request, but they never responded to it despite a written note and 5 phone messages. This is VERY disappointing since we otherwise had a good stay and would have recommended it to others.Owner response: Sometimes things go wrong that are out of our control. We responded immediately when called with the issues. We sent someone over to fix the plumbing and he did so while the guests were out for the day on planned excursions. We try to be as un-intrusive as possible. Secondly they called and said the fridge had stopped working. We sent someone over the same day and he could find nothing wrong with it. The ice was still frozen and the food cold. He brought them more ice. There is also another small fridge downstairs. When you rent a home, it is still a lived in home and something may go wrong during your stay. If we are unable to fix it we would offer to move you to a different home. I am sorry that these guests were disappointed. We did respond immediately to their phone calls while renting the property. If I am unavailable there are two other numbers to call so you can reach someone at all times.

We (6 mature women) spent our annual long weekend (3 nights) at the house in June 2011. We had a fantastic stay! The photos and descriptions were accurate - in fact, most everything was nicer. When we arrived, we had a problem with the hot tub and the mgmt company sent over a maintenance guy right away. The mgmt company was very helpful as well, especially answering all our questions before we actually rented. The living room was nicely comfortable for all 6 of us. A couple more (regular) dining chairs would be nice - AND the folding chairs were some of the most comfortable I've sat in and plentiful. There were lots of things already there - some food and spices, hair dryer, plenty of soap (for the 3 bathrooms), nice towels. Very nice of the owners to provide them. There was lots of space - we each felt like we could have some personal space even with all of us in and around the house. It would be a great house for multiple families to share. Nice large hot tub. We were unable to take advantage of some of the lake "toys" available - very high water level in the lake, and the dock was under water (NOT the owner's fault!). We very much enjoyed our stay, and will probably return again - if it doesn't get so popular that we can't get in!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with young children.

Wow! What a wonderful rental home. To many ammenities to list, so I'll just mention the coffee maker, boat and hot tub! For us the baby ammenities were a plus.
