Thank you so much Jeff…His beautiful two-story penthouse is located right on the beach on the sixth & seventh floor overlooking the pool. Very Clean Well stocked kitchen. (Utensils, dishes, etc...) Great Floorplan (3BR/3BA). We had so much to do between the beach and the pool. Perfect Sunrises, Shell hunting, turtle watching, gorgeous walking paths and so much more…. My kids loved it so much they did not want to go home. We will absolutely book again!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+, sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.
Owner response: Kim, I'm happy to hear that your family enjoyed the visit to Amelia. I trust you have found, as we did on our very first trip, that Amelia Island Plantation is truly a unique and special place. We have worked to provide everything needed to make your time with us enjoyable and comfortable. And hopefully, our recommendations of restaurants and activities were helpful. We hope you will think of our penthouse condo as your "home away from home", and we look forward to your next visit with us. Jeff

Property was as advertised. Was surprised at the amount of square footage in the unit, particularly on the main floor. Plenty of room to spread out without feeling cramped with others. Our party contained my wife and myself, my daughter, her husband, and my two grand children 1 and 3. View of the beach is unobstructed and clear - since this unit is on the top floor (6th), the view is very good. The building, and all other buildings on Amelia Island Plantation do sit back from the water's edge quite a bit - about 200 yards - but since you are up high, you can still see the beach and hear the waves perfectly. This unit has 3 decks, 2 of which overlook the beach. The main patio is very spacious and well-appointed. The master bedroom is very spacious as is the master bath. The other two bedrooms are very adequate. Since each bedroom has it's own bath, plus 1/2 bath on the main floor, you never have to take turns with showers, etc. All in all, an excellent place to spend a beach vacation - I would highly recommend it. The owner, Jeff is also very helpful with local information and is very responsive via e-mail with any questions.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, sightseeing, girls getaway.

We had a wonderful experience staying at this penthouse property. The pictures were true to what you got and probably were closer to the beach than what showed. The condo was beautiful and well maintained it had everything we needed and more. The owner went above and beyond our last minute stay to accommadate us and was very helpful with tips about the area, what to do, where to eat. etc. I would recommend this condo for sure. The views were breathtaking on both levels. It was very quiet and relaxing. The weather could have been better, but having a nice place like this to stay in made it all worthwhile.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

The week at Amelia Island and Turtle Dunes was spectacular. The penthouse is situated on a beautifully landscaped beachfront with amazing views of the ocean and scenic surroundings. The penthouse is spacious, tastefully decorated, and very comfortable. It is without question an ideal setting for a relaxing and refreshing vacation. There are three balconies with gorgeous views and one can be serenaded every evening with the sound of the surf. This venue offers all that you could want--beautiful beach, large swimming pools, convenient exercise and spa facilities, scenic nature trails, top flight golf courses, and great restaurants and shopping. You can make side trips to the historic cities of St. Augustine and Savannah. Nearby is the old pirate beach town of Fernandina Beach. Young and old alike can have fun here without even trying. I forgot to mention the great time we had hunting for and finding fossil shark's teeth on the beach. What a blast! This is a destination that I would score a "10"! A "can't miss" vacation.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with young children, sightseeing, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

My husband and I have been coming to Amelia Island each winter since 1997, and this condo's location and views surpass all of the other condos we have stayed in over the years...and we are very particular! We are delighted to be booked again for next February. Though not a new unit, the owners are updating their condo with quality touches throughout, and they are extremely pleasant and very prompt to work with. We found their condo to be very spacious and comfortable...great leather couches and very comfortable bedding. In addition, there was a generous supply of nice linens and towels for our use. The kitchen was well equipped and very open to the living areas. We enjoyed a strong wireless connection with our laptop from any area in the condo. The unlimited free phone service was also quite nice to have. The views through wide windows, overlooking balconies with the ocean beyond, was a highlight of our stay---even if the weather was sometimes a challenge in this extreme winter of 2010. We have stayed in many nice oceanfront condos at Amelia Island over the past 13 years, but this one is our new favorite!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

Spent 4 days here with my family-including 3 little children. Great location, close to the pool and beach access. Loved garden tub in master and all the balconies. Babyproofing with electrical plug covers and babygate at top of stairs another plus.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway.
