Guests say the pictures fall short of showing off this charming storybook setting. Imagine a quaint Stone Cottage surrounded by huge pines, a secluded Hot Tub across a stone bridge nestled next to a mountain stream, a real wood burning fireplace, Wi-Fi, and a nearby stream-side Fire Pit. There's even an adorable little stone outbuilding we call 'The Bird House' with a sleeping loft, which is heated in the winter - a perfect place for the kids. If you're looking for a unique memorable experience in an unbelievable setting this is it. We know you'll fall in love with this little cabin and extraordinary setting.
Booking this cottage through Stewart Mountain Lodging also comes with access to other amenities nearby. You'll love our Zip Line Swing and Fire Pit, not to mention the personal hospitality and gracious guest services of your mountain hosts. Call us today for more information.
Brad Stewart & Vicki Cox - STEWART MOUNTAIN LODGING
THE 'BIRDHOUSE' : Across the stone bridge is a small two story outbuilding we affectionately call 'The Birdhouse'. The second level is accessed by a spiral staircase and includes a full size bed with an outside balcony directly over the mountain stream.
OUTDOOR DINING: The main deck features an outdoor tall table and chairs (all teak) next to the stream. A truly great spot to enjoy your morning coffee or a little wine and cheese as the evening closes in. The deck and surrounding area is beautifully equipped with subtle outdoor lighting.
NEARBY FIREPIT: Right next door - - and right on the stream, is a Firepit. Who doesn't enjoy building a campfire and roasting a hot dog or two - - or maybe a delicious treat and a Utah favorite - S'Mores.

The cottage was everything we expected and more. Loved the private lane and the soothing sound of the stream, we built a fire every night in the fireplace. And…. I was able to read my entire book!! My most favorite part was Victoria the private massage therapist that came right to the cabin. Victoria set up the table right in front of the fireplace, the atmosphere was amazing and relaxing. Best massage I have ever had. I never wanted to leave this wonderful cabin. We loved the gourmet kitchen, and Brad and Vicki were wonderful hosts. They made sure our stay was perfect. I truly recommend this cabin for anyone that wants to get away from the world and enjoy the peacefulness. Can’t wait to come back. AnneDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Dear Brad and Vicki, Thank you so much for following your vision and creating such a delightful wonderland for three excited boys and their young-minded parents! We needed a nearby retreat and were planning to just stay in a hotel in Park City- but stumbled upon your website and will forever be lad we did. Instead of just "getting away" for a day we really fell like we escaped to a new adventure. We loved the birdhouse, the boys swam in the hot tub multiple times and especially loved the zip line. We had planned to hike but loved this little paradise so much, we didn't want to leave! Thanks so much for everything- we'll be back! Andrea, Chris & the boysDid you find this review helpful? The cottage is truly right out of a storybook! We stayed just two nights and wish we had been able to stay longer. It has everything you could possibly need and more. I am considering building a "birdhouse" for my son in our backyard, although I think he would rather have the stream. Thank you very much, we had a great time!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We are in love! Although the snow was not quite as abundant as we hoped, we took full advantage of the wonders of what our 2 year old daughter calls "my cozy little cabin". You have a book collection second to none + our 5 year old wants every trip we take to return to the Bird's Nest! Thanks for sharing...... we will be back! With a brand new (4 week old) baby, we had a hard time imagining what kind of vacation we could manage. Turns out this kind! This cottage was perfect for our family. Our ten year old boy got to have his very own tower room, which made him feel very adventurous and grown up. Our 7 and 5 year odl girls were out of their heads about the lfot and played up there for hours. The kids loved all the books and games. My husband and I were able to relax and feel like we still had a vacation, with the sound of the river and the beautiful surroundings. We will certainly be back! Dear Vicki + everyone at Stewart Mountain Lodging, Our family relocated from the east coast a couple years ago and had never been to Utah. We absolutely fell in love with Sundance and cannot wait to return. We celebrated our 17 year anniversary while here and so many other great moments- the hikes, catching a fish right outside the kitchen window, wonderful meals cooked in and down at the Sundance resort, introducing the boys to fly-fishing in the Provo and having a successful first experience with huge brown trout! The Stone Cottage is magical- everyone from the kids to the dogs does not want to leave. We look forward to returning to the mountains. Many Thanks! The Holms FamilyDid you find this review helpful? My husband surprised me with a quick trip to this adorable cabin for our second anniversary. It was so fun to walk along the stream and explore the beautiful surroundings, I would have loved to relax in the hot tub right next to the stream, but because I'm pregnant we had to skip that. Being inside was my favorite. The decor was cozy and made me feel like I was living in my very own fairy tale!! The kitchen had everything we needed to make dinner and afterward we loved cuddling up on the comfy couches to watch a movie on the flat screen TV. Falling asleep was no problem with the calming sounds of the stream outside and the comfortable bed, and waking up to the heated tile flooring was a very nice surprise. Even though I didn't want to leave, I couldn't wait to tell my family about it. I hope they'll take my advice and decide to stay here! Overall, it was the perfect way to spend an anniversary and hope to do it again next year!!Owner response: Thank you for the sharing your experience and we hope we will see you again with the newest member of the family. The Stone Cottage is the perfect escape for a couple or a small family. The location is serene and magical and we are happy you enjoyed it so much.

About the owner: We would love to host your stay at Sundance. We truly enjoy the experience of meeting our guests and making new friends. We live here full time and love sharing all that Sundance has to offer. In fact, we can provide lots of good ideas on things to do, places to go - i.e. grocery shopping, ski rental, wine & liquor stores, etc. Whatever you need to enjoy a relaxing and fun filled stay at Sundance. Come find us!! Vicki and Brad (your hosts)
Why the Owner Chose Sundance:
Brad's family, the Stewart's, are the original settlers that homesteaded the area now known as Sundance. Brad's uncle Ray started the Timp Haven Ski Resort that was later sold to Robert Redford in 1969, which is now Sundance. The Stewart family has savored this canyon's magic for over 100 years. Our Storybook Stone Cottage is the perfect place to share this magic with our guests.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
While the photos speak for themselves in showcasing this amazing cottage, perhaps the other most unique feature is the mountain stream that runs right next to this cottage. The stream side setting is cool and comfortable in the summer months.
