This home and view greatly exceeded all of our expectations! The home has an incredible view of the Needle Mountains. The house is wonderfully built and has a great floor plan for vacationing families. The master bedroom has a fireplace and gorgeous windows. We cooked numerous meals in the well stocked kitchen with its amazing professional oven and stove. We spent many hours playing games in the family room and game room below. The house and setting had a sense of peace and tranquility about it. We highly recommend this home to vacationing families! The town of Durango was delightful - we enjoyed the shops and also highly recommend the company Mild2Wild for rafting, jeep tours. Fabulous home in an amazingly beautiful setting!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

My family of 4 and our friends, family of 5, stayed in this beautiful home July 4th week of 2011. Believe me, the pict.s do not do this home justice! My favorite area was the large open kit. area with beautiful counters, large windows, light floods this home. The outdoors is beautifully integrated into the indoors. We r from MS, own large acreage and appreciate the use of natural woods, stone, sunlight! I also have a degree in interior design and I am a RN. I am hard to please! The master bedroom is large with lovely doors leading out onto expansive deck! The choice of furniture and materials outstanding! My son has asthma, and cleanliness was a major concern. No worries here. Everything was exceptionally clean. The pantry was well stocked with basics. Our teens enjoyed the game room. We all loved the way the house was situated. The wildflowers were glorious! This home suited our families well. There was plenty of space to be together or to be private. My husband is 6'5" and our sons are already over 6' tall at 14 and 16 years old. We really appreciate the space! This home is close to DMR, but in its own private neighborhood, yet close to all of our activities including jeep/atv tours, horseback riding, hiking, DMR alpine slide...The manager was easy to contact. There were no problems. Everything was just as he said it would be. Thank you for an incredible stay! The house is much more impressive architecturally than the pictures show!!Thank you!!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Stayed here on a ski vacation with one other family (4 adults and 5 kids). Home had plenty of room for all, and fireplaces in just about every room! Kids could play outside in the snow, and play wii downstairs by the gameroom fireplace, while adults could relax with a glass of wine by the fire upstairs. Very secluded, and beautiful setting among the mountains. Skiing was just a ten minute drive down the road, and we were on the slopes in no time! On off days we went on incredible Silverton Train ride, and did the Ice Pirates snowmobiling tour. Excellent family ski vacation all together!Recommended for: Families with young children, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.
