Map & Owner's Profile
Why the Owner Chose Esporles
We love the location of our house. It is a 20 minute drive from the airport; 15 minutes to the capital city, Palma, and no more than 20 minutes to the most beautiful and unspoiled villages of the Island, such as Valldemossa and Deia where we like to explore and have coffee at one of the cafe's. Despite the close proximity to all of these places, our villa remains very private. Once off the main road and entering the driveway to the finca, you will pass through row upon row of orange trees leading to the house making you feel far away from it all!
The Unique Benefits at this Villa
Our villa gives you the chance to enjoy a genuine and complete Mediteranean experience. The villa is surrounded by an orange grove; buganvilia; palm; cypress; olive trees; and an oak tree forest (which is a protected area on Mallorca). You will enjoy the great unspoiled views and the echoing of the sheep bells from across the valley. While experiencing the rural life of our villa, within 15 minutes you can be in Palma and enjoy one of Europe's best shopping, museum and dining experiences. There are many golf courses close by and all the amazing coves of the North Coast of the Island for suntanning, swimming, snorkeling and boating. One of our favourite things to do is to relax in one of the outdoor areas, enjoy a morning coffee and a good read; very simple, yet peaceful.
Owner's Map of Esporles
My husband, Anthony, is from Canada and is in the hotel business. My name is Maria; I am from Mallorca and have a degree in Art Restoration. We live in Victoria, BC, Canada but love to spend as much time at our house on Mallorca as possible. In 1999 we renovated our house in the most traditional Mallorcan style while trying to keep all of its charm. What we enjoy the most is the relaxed atmosphere of the property, to have our meals al fresco on our veranda and visit all the beautiful villages and coves on the Island.

This house, property, location and its owners just can't be beat! I was traveling throughout Spain for the summer with my children and a friend and her children. Finca Podadores was definitely the highlight of our summer. The owners could not have been more helpful with information not only with our booking, but info on great places to go on Mallorca. They made it super easy for us to send our deposit, etc... This house should be shot for Architectural Digest and House Beautiful and the private grounds and orange grove as well. It is so gorgeous, but at the same time livable and user friendly. I am a designer, and love and appreciate beautiful things, and I felt like I was in my own lovely home. The kitchen is perfectly equipped for churning out some fabulous meals that can be eaten during sunset from one of the beautiful loggias. Listening to the donkeys bray and the sheep's bells jingle at dusk is just so magical, you won't believe it! And the owners had wonderful things in the frige to get us through the first night and breakfast the next day :) We did quite a bit of touring around the island, and we found that we preferred the location of Esporles to anywhere else on the island. It is small, quaint and has tons of class. No tacky fast food places and the likes. Precious. Plus, it is so close to other beautiful "hill" villages and 20 minutes from Palma and airport, but worlds away! You aren't far to drive to sandy, crowded, tourist beaches, or zip up and over the mountain to some local cove/ports with gorgeous Mediterranean rocky beaches and little fish tavernas, yum! The owners also had suggested a car rental company that leavs the keys on the tire in the Airport Parking garage, which is how we left it the morning we departed, so we zipped in and out sans sweaty lines and angry people!!! I hope this has been helpful. This is a great escape for 3 couples or a family, or 2 friends educating their kids to history and the fine things in life, all for a great price. Huge quality for a great value in my opinion. Enjoy!

Our family of four (two children aged 4 and 2) have just returned from a week at Podadores. It is a beautiful villa with everything you need in a fantastic location. It it beautifully decorated, and there is a real feeling of space both inside and out. We were met on arrival and made to feel very welcome. We enjoyed relaxed days at the villa walking in the orange groves, dipping in the pool (which was still a bit chilly early June), and also making excursions to the beautiful small towns and villages in the surrounding area. It is also very close to a big supermarket just outside Palma for provisions. Our only word of caution is that the pool is not gated (it is a distance from the house though, so easy to police our 2 year old) and there are some steep drops off stone steps. You just need to have a watchful eye if you have small children. Overall, we would hope to return to this lovely house.

We rented this beautiful home for 5 days and 4 nights in May. Our family was pleasantly surprised and everything about our experience with VRBO and this home exceeded our expectations. First the website listing, pictures and description of the home was very good and easy to use for booking purposes. The owners went out of their way to make us feel welcome; their own enthusiasm for Mallorca was obvious and it helped build our excitement for our vacation. They helped a lot with suggestions on car rental, with directions and recommendations on places to visit, restaurant recommendations, everything. There were many beautiful mountain towns and spectacular drives along the Mediterranean within a short distance of the Finca. The home itself was in a great, quiet location in the middle of an orange grove but close enough to Palma and nearby towns to make day trips, sightseeing and shopping very easy to access. Our children are older ranging from 11 to 22 so for them and for us the quiet, laid back atmosphere at Finca Podadores was perfect for sleeping in, reading, having meals together, enjoying the sun or shade and relaxing with a bottle of wine after a day out. The home was nicely appointed, clean and with everything we needed. If you want nightlife and popular beaches this won't be for you. However if you want a relaxing, quiet and family oriented vacation with great places to visit to experience Mallorca we highly recommend Finca Podadores.

"We rented this beautiful finca in August and, it has to be said, we found a little piece of paradise in Majorca. Los Podadores had everything we possibly needed for a lovely holiday. Very tastefully furnished, very well equipped, so comfortable and spotlessly clean - perfectly positioned for exploring some beautiful areas of the an island that has so much to offer. Our children of 7 and 5 thoroughly enjoyed the pool and we explored every day either a pretty local town or a lovely restaurant. Palma is only about 15 minutes away and is just brimming with food, shopping and cultural opportunities ! We found the owners of Los Podadores just so helpful, informative and truly nothing was too much trouble. You will be enchanted by this finca and I am so hoping we can visit again shortly. "

What is it like to wake up in the morning, look out of your bedroom window and be confronted by the most gorgeous view of a pine tree covered hill side, inter disbursed with almond and olive trees. In the early spring when the almond trees are in full pink blossom, they add a color that is only found in those geographic picture books we all cherish and envy. Immediately outside of your window is an orange orchard with endless rows of trees, which during the month of December and January are burdened with oranges and tangerines waiting to be picked, peeled and eaten. It is idyllic, it is magical and it is incredibly quiet. However, suddenly the peace and tranquility is disturbed by the hee haw of the donkeys grazing on the other side of the Palma to Esporles Road. For the brave, the swimming pool offers a refreshing wake-up that provides a wonderful start to your holiday day. Once dried, you go and enjoy your breakfast either in the covered area just outside the kitchen or sit on the wicker couches, just below the magnificent window that provides such a panoramic view of the orchard and tree covered hillside from the entrance hall. For the energetic, a run around the orchard two or three times will give you a reasonable workout and then you can sit down, enjoy a drink and decide what it is you want to do for the day. It doesn't rain often in the summer, but if it does the coziness of the sitting room with its fireplace and comfortable seats offers an opportunity to read that book that somehow never quite got around to. For children, there is the media room that they can play video games or watch for the 20th time, the Lion King. My husband, George and I have been fortunate enough to have been renting Finca de Los Podadores since last August, and sadly, we will be leaving in May, with great regret and wonderful memories.

Our family stayed at this location for 10 days and could not have asked for better accommodations. From the amazing scenery to the fabulous house we had a great stay. Everyone enjoyed the pool, the walks in the orange groves and sitting outside on the patio at night enjoying the stars. The owners of the property were very helpful and made us feel very welcome. It is recommended that you rent a car so you can explore the island and go back and forth to the various beaches. I would recommend this location for anyone looking guaranteed peacefulness day and night.

We had a heavenly stay at this property last summer. We loved the chic but comfortable decor and the fact that there were several lovely places to relax in the spacious house and in the garden...lots of furniture, and loved the green grass! We found that the nearby village of Esporles was perfect for getting groceries and going out for the occasional meal. (There is also a market there !) The property is not far from Valldemossa and Deia which are gorgeous sights. This is a peaceful place overlooking the orange groves and into the sunset. We didn't want to leave!

This was a perfect family holiday spot. Close to downtown Palma for shopping, plenty of beaches near by - but a great pool too! The relaxing and welcoming Finca was a home away from home with a grocery store, pizza place and great coffee just a 5 mins drive away. There are also many little towns to explore with authentic dining and great wines! The Finca was well stocked with all that you need to relax, read under the palm trees, soak up the sun by the pool, and enjoy the amazing views and sunsets on the mountains. I would go back in a second!
