Right away, you notice the picture window in the dining area, the huge expanse of five sliding doors that open up the corner of the living room . . . so you gaze out over the San José estuary towards where the sun rises over Punta Gorda . . . all the way along miles of sandy beaches and the Sea of Cortez.
Step onto the wraparound covered terrace, sink into a chaise lounge, and look all the way to Palmilla Point, where the sun sets. Look down from this third floor corner veranda, with its stereo speakers, lights, and long antique pine dining table, and you'll see one of the resort's infinity pools (long enough for laps), an oversized Jacuzzi, a putting practice area, a BBQ area, and lush landscaping. Jazz Corner was wonderful! From the interior design, to the attractive furnishings, to the thoughtful attention to detail - all was carefully orchestrated to create a comfortable and beautiful accommodation. We loved the use of color - it was playful and set the mood for for our stay in Mexico. We were celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary and we couldn't have chosen a more beautiful location! The restaurants were fantastic - Casianos was our favorite (and that's saying something... because we didn't have a bad meal while in Cabo!) The beaches were super, but our favorite spot was by the pool at Alegranza at the end of the day. Chris and Toby, thank you for sharing your home with us - we had a very special vacation because of you!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

Alegranza was even more beautiful than we expected. The condo, the size of a house, was very clean. Also, it was both beautifully and tastefully decorated in bright & fun colors. This place was very spacious giving privacy to both couples. And the condo had everything we needed and more. We enjoyed morning coffee & tea on the patio while taking in the view of the ocean. The man in charge (his name escapes me) was most pleasant & helpful. Another plus was the location. Nothing was far from this condo, beach, groceries. restaurants, shopping, etc. were all most convenient and it did not take long to find our way around. On behalf of myself, my husband, our son and daughter-in-law, we were so very pleased and would not hesitate to highly recommend this vacation rental to other family and friends. Our only regret-- that we could not stay longer. Owner response: I know some people look at the photos and wonder about the magenta ultrasuede sofas . . . and it's nice to hear so many guests say they find Jazz Corner "beautifully and tastefully decorated in bright & fun colors." That was our goal, and Mexico seemed the perfect spot to enjoy that freedom. The "man in charge" Patty refers to is Miguel, our rental coordinator and concierge -- our local go-to-guy for help arranging fishing, dinner reservations, massages, whatever . . . coordinating check-in and check-outs, and taking care of anything guests might need such as refilling the propane tank for the grill, changing a lightbulb in the high ceilings, etc. All our guests have told us that he is a gem, and we're blessed to have him.

This is a great location - in just ten minutes, you are in the heart of San Jose with shopping, art, pubs and restaurants! A fantastic view of the mountains and Sea with beautiful art and furniture surrounding you! This is a fantastic place to call home for a week in cabo! A few small issues during our stay, but nothing to keep us from coming back again!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

Jazz Corner is a fantastic condo within close proximity and/or walking distance of beaches, town center, grocery store, and many restaurants. The unit is well equipped. The unit was as advertised in every respect. The Owners, owners private management team and Alegranza onsite staff do a great job of communicating and will do everything to help you have a wonderful vacation, (Chris, the owner, provides a vacation check list that can help even a very seasoned traveler). I am excited to return as soon as I can!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We echo all the nice things [our friends said]. Chris & Toby, you have the eyes of professional decorators. Your selection of colors took guts but the results are outstanding. Kudos! Your written instructions and advice are so thorough, any time we had a question we just said "look it up in the book" and there was the answer. Gracias, Paul Rather than echo all the previous raves -- with which I heartily agree -- I'm going to list a few of the "little things" I much appreciated such as -- great music selection & wonderful sound system, wonderful books, i.e. Tortilla Curtain, Black Livingstone, The Duke of Deceit. EVERYTHING is quality from the towels to the dinnerwear and cutlery to the outdoor furniture. We had a great time. Had 2 dinner parties. Great Vacation!! Good Fun!! Just back from 2 weeks in San Jose, renting this incredible condo. The condo has spectacular views of the ocean from the front of the deck and the town on the left side of this wrap around deck. All of the amenities in here are first class. There isn't anything we needed that was not there. The master suite is huge and has all the bells and whistles. It is only a few blocks down to the Mega or Walmart for any groceries a person needed. The town is only a 10 minute walk to all the restaurants and shops. Chris was very easy to deal with and answered all questions and emails promptly. Upon check in Miguel was a pleasure to deal with. I would not hesitate to rent this property again. We had a spectacular time here.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Jazz was the perfect location for our anniversary celebration. The condo was exactly as described and the beds were better than a lot of five star hotels we've stayed at. We would highly recommend this condo and we will certainly book it again the next time we visit Cabo.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Our two month stay at Jazz was totally amazing. It was more than we ever could have imagined. It is very obvious that Chris and Toby decorated this beautiful condo as their own home. The kitchen has top notch dishes, knives and pots and pans. The beds are so comfortable and all of the decorating is so bright and beautiful. We watched the sunrise each morning from our comfy king size bed and watched the sunsets from the deck overlooking the sea and city. The management team was there to assist us in every way. My husband & I spent 18 days in the San Jose del Cabo area, splitting up our vacation with 9 days in hotel, and the next 9 days in Chris & Toby's very comfortable and well equiped Jazz Corner. We had all the comforts of a home away from home, incredible views, great decor, in a very pleasant development! Chris included such a great guide of local shopping, restaurants, maps, activities..better than any hotel concierge! The floorplan of Jazz Corner was great with basically 2 full bedrooms and full ensuites, so that this unit could so comfortably and privately accommodate eg. 2 couples or great for "the girls" getaway..of course we were only 2, but good to know for a future visit, or for anyone reading this review. Another plus was that Los Cabos weather was just incredible! All in all, a great condo, and great holiday!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

Our stay at Jazz Corner exceeded our expectations! We arrived via rental car following Chris' precise directions provided in advance and was warmly greeted by Miguel with our keys and information about the condo and the area. We must say the photos online are impressive but simply do not aptly reflect just how beautiful and well appointed Jazz Corner truly is. It certainly is not an average rental unit but more reflective of a beautifully appointed personal home. Chris has done a superb job of decorating and her beautiful quilts are tastefully displayed throughout the unit. Her detailed welcome book contains everything a traveler needs from information about the unit to activities and restaurants in the area. Upon our arrival we received a warm welcoming email from Chris checking in to make sure everything was in order. We felt very "at home" in Jazz Corner with absolutely no attention to detail overlooked. The view from the balcony is spectacular ... clear views of the town of San Jose and the ocean as well as the beautiful swimming pool and grounds. We never wanted to leave our condo! We definitely plan to return to Cabo/San Jose and Jazz Corner. We have already recommended Jazz to a couple of friends who are contemplating a Cabo trip and assured them they will not be disappointed in Jazz Corner or the quaint and friendly town of San Jose.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
