The unique décor and layout of Salad Days is reminiscent of early coastal homes. Enter through the large rocking chair porch into a spacious great room with plasma TV (TiVo equipped), entertainment center and fireplace. The dining room seats ten, and the upscale kitchen opens to a deck with outdoor dining area, gas grill and garden fountain. The first floor also features laundry room, full hallway bath, kid`s twin trundle room, and a master suite with queen four-poster bed, LCD TV (TiVo equipped) and connecting full-bath. Both bathrooms on the first floor have a unique, fully enclosed outdoor shower. The second level offers a queen bedroom, double twin room and a third bedroom with a full size bed. Two of the three bedrooms upstairs have access to wide sun deck Also, a library with books, puzzles and board games. Bedrooms upstairs share a full hallway bath. All rooms are iPod enabled.
The name “Salad Days” comes from Cleopatra’s wistful remark in Shakespeare’s play, Antony and Cleopatra “…in my salad days, when I was green in judgment…” because it suggested youth, innocence and carefree living. The home was also painted a bright green at the time the name was given.
