We welcome you to our large villa bordered by heavily laden coconut trees, an outstanding view of greenery with the blue back drop of the Caribbean Sea.
The two bedroom apartment is located steps from the over-sized freshwater swimming pool.
The apartment features terrazzo and ceramic tiled floors and is decorated to reflect the colors and spirit of the Caribbean.

This modern vacation apartment is a quarter of a mile to a quiet beach, nearby is the historic sea-side town Speightstown, Barbados'second largest town, here you will find banks, art galleries, restaurants, supermarkets, a post office, a busy fish market, and colorful shops.
You will mingle with the friendly locals as you purchase fresh fruit and vegetables from road side vendors.
After a day at the beach just minutes away....you will enjoy picking your own refreshing coconuts from the palm trees that border the pool.
Grill tropical fish like Mahi Mahi or Red Snapper on the poolside grill, blend exotic concoctions in the well outfitted kitchen then dine al-fresco poolside under the warm tropical sun or under the stars.
When you return after an exciting evening out, a well-lit inviting shimmering pool awaits you, indulge in a late night swim to a back drop of tiki torches blazing in the balmy night air.
You will find this apartment to be clean, comfortable and fully-equipped with all the necessary amenities and extras to make your 'Caribbean getaway' a success.
The Barbados Wildlife Reserve located nearby is a must see.
Just down the road from CoolHill House is Six-men's Bay, Thursday - Saturday nights only, dine in the beach shack at Braddy's Bar with tourist and locals alike, the best fish, pork and chicken cooked to tender perfection right there in front of you, a rum and coke or cold Bank's beer is a must as you kick back and experience a true Barbadian way of life.
A day in Barbados could be spent doing many activities, unwind after a day of water-skiing, snorkeling, scuba diving, sightseeing or shopping by simply relaxing and enjoying a rum punch beside CoolHill House's large freshwater swimming pool.

Bedroom One air conditioned, has a KING SIZED BED. This room has a window view of the pool.
Bedroom TWO air conditioned has TWO TWIN BEDS.
There is also a double SOFA BED and a fold out bed.

SECURITY. There is no need to bolt yourself in, the doors and windows may be left open, when you wake each morning weather permitting go ahead and open the front entry doors and welcome the morning sun.
WATER. The water is safe to drink.
We have outfitted the kitchen with everything you may need, if anything is missing or not working properly please let us know and we will replace it or purchase the item for you.
BUGS. Mosquitoes are few around here but if you spot any just light the citronella candles and they will go away.
GREEN MONKEYS. There are monkeys in the nearby gully across the field.
THE BEACH. We have beach umbrellas, coolers and some chairs that you may take to the beach.
Our guest's number one best beach pick is Mullins. Mullins is a busy beach with lots of water sports. Second pick is at the bottom of the hill; go under the bridge to find a quiet beach on the other side.
CHECK OUT. You will already be busy with packing, looking for lost flip flops and regretting that you did not see the Monkeys at the Reserve or tour Harrison's Cave, the last thing you want to do is wash towels and sheets.
We do not expect you to or want you to launder anything on your check out date.
You do not have to strip the beds or empty the fridges.
A deposit of Two Hundred Dollars is required to confirm a reservation.
Payment may be made by Visa or MasterCard.
The balance is due on arrival to CoolHill House.
CoolHill House is family owned and operated, (owners live on property please see profile) employ no management people and most importantly pass the resulting savings to guest by offering the accommodations at rates often lower than other vacation homes with equal or less exceptional amenities.

VRBO Bear stayed here - 02/14/2005 After the journey to Barbados, my traveling companions and I were glad to arrive at this beautiful home and meet the owner, Marilyn. She showed us around the spacious home with its five bedrooms and three baths which gave all of us plenty of room to spread out in!
It quickly became our routine to have breakfast and read by the beautiful pool with its spectacular views of the cane fields, the old windmill ruins and the sea, less than a mile away. We ended each day there as well discussing our activities which included snorkeling, diving, touring the many interesting nearby sites, and eating at excellent local restaurants.
The people of the island were exceptionally friendly and helpful and after a week we felt that we'd definitely return for further experiences. We understood why Tiger Woods chose Barbados as the location for his recent wedding!

Why the Owner Chose Maynards
The Maynards area is quiet, the neighbors are very accommodating and we are close to the beach!
We were looking for a large property to purchase near the beach and came across the listing for a three bedroom with a separate two bedroom apartment perfect for rental in Maynards with sea views and a large back yard.
When we first saw it we didn't like the exterior, the house had no curb appeal at all.
We walked in to this large front entry with an open plan and soaring ceilings and fell in love with the house.
We viewed it six times each time staying longer and chatting with the owners, sometimes into the late evening.
After the sixth viewing we put in our offer and have stayed in love with the property ever since.
We put in the pool in late 2001. The pool and pool area are over sized because we don't like small pools.
The house is painted in blue to match the blue skies and waters of Barbados.
We love the location to these amenities;
1 There is a nearby bakery which offers local pastries and breads.
2 A small well stocked supermarket.
3 A modern gas station with ATM, and shopping mart with great cappuccinos.
The Unique Benefits at this House
There is something about CoolHill House...it's a feeling you get when you first enter, our guest get it and we still get it. It gives you the feeling like "yeah, this is going to be great, this is gonna be fun.
Many of our guest can't believe that it is a vacation villa as it is so well outfitted.
We listen to our guest and because we travel a lot we stay current with trends regarding what travelers expect, what will surprise them and what they can't live without.
Our guest enjoy sitting on their patio on sunny mornings gazing at the coconut trees swaying in the light island breeze while sipping their morning beverage. There is a great local bakery just up the road from the villa.
Vacationing children are up early ready to get into the gleaming swimming pool.

There is a small family of Turtles and some lobsters that live around the rocks here. Great spot for snorkeling.
Fresh fish sold on the beach in shacks. They will pre-cut your fish and debone it just right for the grill!
The wildlife reserve is a must do! It is just up the hill from us, take your camera.

Hello! We are very excited about introducing our family to you! we are a family of six, Dale, Marilyn, Jade,(away), Emily, William and Luke.
Dale originally from America, Marilyn from Barbados.
We have a very active island lifestyle, the beach is a huge part of our activities along with the occasional camping trip, Polo, fishing, pier and deep sea.
Dale is a certified diver and advid Spear fisher man, all you will need to pack or purchase for spear fishing is a mask.
We take just enough for an evening meal cooked fresh on the grill nothing is frozen for later.
Diving is right off the beach along a bountiful reef.
We love the fruits and vegetables that are grown here and eat what ever is in season, it is always rewarding to come across a tree on the side of the road laden with fruit.
Our favorite fruit is the Mango because there is so much variety to the fruit here.
Barbados has a lot to offer besides sea and sand, you are safe while discovering this beautiful island.
We have met some wonderful people throughout the years of renting CoolHill House and look forward to meeting new people.
It is fun to see guest arrive all reserved and quiet but at the end of their stay they are practically locals and don't want to leave.
We continue to choose Barbados as home because it is the best island in the Caribbean, everything works here, the standard of education is high (so is the cost of living though!)and the people are happy and enjoy life.
The vacation rental market in Barbados is very crowded but we have managed to stand out because of what we offer to our guest.

Let Dale know that today is the rematch of the Pittsburgh - Uconn basketball game. Hopefully Uconn will win this one. We are all going to get together tonight at Dean & Robins' house to share our pictures and discuss our trip. Tell Dale that I found some of the Mout Gay Rum and I am going to try to make some of the Barbados Rum Punch tonight. I know it won't be as good as at Barbados but maybe it will help deal with all this snow that we still have to get rid of. You were wonderful hosts and appreciate all that you did for us during our stay. The island is beautiful and we do want to come back and explore some more. We started this new year off with a warm welcome to our first guest of the year. It was an absolute pleasure to share CoolHill House our vacation home and Barbados our island home with you guys! Lots of rum (too much the first day), the out of the way sights known only to locals along with the usual "tourist spots", partying to calypso music in the sand under the moonlight at a local night beach club and eating grilled fish at Ju Ju's beach bar with captain John after swimming with the Turtles and the reef fish. Kevin you said you wanted to swim in blue water and you sure did! Dale says "nuff respect my brudda! Louise and Darlene you got some great pictures of the kids inches from the monkeys at the reserve and that photo of the monkeys sitting on your rental Jeep! priceless...maybe the car rental company could use that photo in their advertisements. Frank thanks for teaching me how to use my four wheel drive when I got stuck on the sand on the East Coast and again when I rolled into the muddy ditch at the North Point! what is the sense of having four wheel drive on an island and not use it aye! Hope to see you guys again on Barbados and at CoolHill House and "GO STEELERS!"
