CoolHill House in Maynards St Peter on the West Coast of the island is a popular choice for families and friends.
We welcome you to our large villa bordered by heavily laden coconut trees, an outstanding view of greenery with the blue back drop of the Caribbean Sea.
Your accommodations are located steps from the over-sized freshwater swimming pool.
The interior design features terrazzo and ceramic tiled floors and is decorated to reflect the colors and spirit of the Caribbean.
The upper level has an open plan living and dining area, three bedrooms and two bathrooms along with the primary kitchen which leads out to a full length balcony that overlooks the pool.
The lower level has two bedrooms and one bathroom, the secondary kitchen, living and dining area and a patio overlooking the pool.
Layout of house;
Bedroom ONE is the master bedroom with a king size bed and an en suite bathroom. This room leads out to the balcony.
Bedroom TWO is next to the master bedroom and also leads out to the balcony, it has a double bed.
Bedroom THREE is spacious with two double beds.
There is a full bathroom with tub/shower across from bedroom two and three.
Bedroom FOUR on the lower level has a king size bed. This room has a window view of the pool.
Bedroom FIVE has two twin beds.
All five bedrooms are AIR-CONDITIONED.
The laundry room with washing machine is located pool-side, this room also has a convenient toilet.

SECURITY. There is no need to bolt yourself in, the doors and windows may be left open, when you wake each morning weather permitting, go ahead and open the windows and the front entry doors and welcome the morning sun.
WATER. The water is safe to drink.
Kitchens. We have outfitted the kitchens with everything you may need, if anything is missing or not working properly please let us know and we will replace it or purchase the item for you.
BUGS. Mosquitoes are few around here but if you spot any just light the citronella candles and they will go away.
GREEN MONKEYS. There are monkeys in the nearby gully across the field.
Beach. Our guest's number one best beach pick is Mullins. Mullins is a busy beach with lots of water sports. Second pick is at the bottom of the hill; go under the bridge to find a quiet beach on the other side.
A deposit of Two Hundred Dollars is required to confirm a reservation.
Payment may be made by Visa or MasterCard.
The balance is due on arrival to CoolHill House.

After the journey to Barbados, my traveling companions and I were glad to arrive at this beautiful home and meet the owner, Marilyn. She showed us around the spacious home with its five bedrooms and three baths which gave all of us plenty of room to spread out in!
It quickly became our routine to have breakfast and read by the beautiful pool with its spectacular views of the cane fields, the old windmill ruins and the sea, less than a mile away. We ended each day there as well discussing our activities which included snorkeling, diving, touring the many interesting nearby sites, and eating at excellent local restaurants.
The people of the island were exceptionally friendly and helpful and after a week we felt that we'd definitely return for further experiences. We understood why Tiger Woods chose Barbados as the location for his recent wedding!

Dale and daughter Emily deep sea fishing. We enjoy Barbados and miss it dearly when we are away.
Why the Owner Chose Maynards
The Maynards area is quiet, the neighbors are very accommodating and we are close to the beach!
We were looking for a large property to purchase near the beach and came across the listing for a three bedroom with a separate two bedroom apartment perfect for rental in Maynards with sea views and a large back yard.
When we first viewed the house, we walked in to this large front entry with an open plan and soaring ceilings and fell in love with the house.
We put in the pool in late 2001.
The pool and pool area are over sized because we don't like small pools.
The house is painted in blue to match the blue skies and waters of Barbados.
We love the location to these amenities;
1 There is a nearby bakery which offers local pastries and breads.
2 A small well stocked supermarket.
3 A modern gas station with ATM, and shopping mart with great cappuccinos.
The Unique Benefits of this House
There is something about CoolHill House...it's a feeling you get when you first enter, our guest get it and we still get it. It gives you the feeling like "yeah, this is going to be great, this is gonna be fun.
Many of our guest can't believe that it is a vacation villa as it is so well outfitted.
Mornings are spent on the patio gazing at the coconut trees swaying in the light island breeze while sipping morning beverage. There is a great local bakery just up the road from the villa.
The children are up early ready to get into the gleaming swimming pool.
Evenings are spent by the pool under the blanket of stars.

We trully enjoyed the stay at the Coolhill house. This was a perfect vacation that we will never forget. We hope to be back one day. Every year myself and a some of my boys plan a man trip just to get away from the wives, and everyday life in general. This year we selected Barbados. We decided to rent a home just so that we weren't cramped... and we were super satisfied with the space. Coolhill house accommodated us better then when we could have ever expected.... We had more room then we knew what to do with!! Perfect for a large family get away, or just friends who want to take a trip like us. Everything that we need was in the house.... and more!!! I would suggest renting a car because some of the beautiful scenery, and attractions of the island are a little ways away, but definitely not to far at all. We had a ball, and are already planning another trip back... Thank you Marilyn for your patience when my bank gave me problems.... and Thank you Alicia for you wonderful hospitality! you guys were awesome!

Hello Marilyn, The villa was decorated so nice! It was really nice time place for my 40th birthday celebration with my girlfriends! ~Suggestions for possible improvement would be thicker towels. Just a small note: If you know someone is celebrating something special at the villa, it would be nice to give that visitor a small token be it a card or just a one minute phone call to give them a well wish for that special moment for them. Overall it was a nice experience! Loved, loved Kurt, he was actually half the price you had quoted and he went out and bought the food for us! I would love to send him a card or something if you have an address for him! Stud was great as well but we learned to get around on the 2nd day by bus so that was our form of transportation throughout the trip.

Stayed here with a group of 7 friends and it was amazing. The two separate apartments worked great for us. Walking distance to gas station, which was very easy to catch a bus from to get to the beach or Speightstown bus station. If you hire a car during your stay, even better. The house was very clean and the pool was great for an evening swim. The neighborhood is nice, and we even made friends with some of the neighbors. Kitchens were fully equipped and large enough for several people to be working in at a time. I would definitely recommend this house to friends and family. If we return with a large group we will definitely make sure we stay at CoolHill House again.

I cannot say enough good things about this property. We had a group of 9 and we had ample space - the house had everything we needed. The owners were very responsive and extremely helpful before and during our visit by recommending car rental, grocery stores, surf lessons, etc. They even arranged a late night airport pick up for one of our guests and called back to make sure she arrived safely. The photos and description of the property are accurate - this was our first rental and we were a bit nervous about "sight unseen", but no worries -- it is exactly as described and such a great value! One of our favorite spots was the pool, we started and ended our days there . . . so relaxing and peaceful! The neighborhood is quiet and safe and all the people are so friendly -- our only regret is that we did not have more time. We will definitely come back and would love to stay at Cool Hill House again.

We stayed at Marylin and Dales for 2 weeks...This place is a must! When we arrived we where greeted with a cold drink by the owners who keep this place in amazing order. Your trip to this home is located close to all the best beach spots along the north and west coasts. Everything here is so close yet we felt away from all the tourists in our on special spot on the hill with all the wonderful locals. The pool is the best! Each day we returned from touring the island to enjoy the wonderful private pool. The owners are wonderful and offer lots of information on how to hang with the locals in all the best spots. We had such a blast with this wonderful family in their wonderful home. The home offers a perfect blend of feeling like you have local hosts nearby yet total privacy. When we return to Barbados this is where you will find us!

Many thanks to Marilyn and Dale for their hospitality and wonderful Cool Hill House during our special birthday party in Barbados. The house is incredibly comfortable with ample room for all of us to stay. Evening sunsets by the pool were very beautiful every night Marilyn and Dale were wonderful hosts introducing us to the local culture and people, which gave us a unique taste of Barbados. The cooks they arranged for us prepared a delicious local meal that started our stay off fabulously. Too bad Dale couldn't control the Ocean during our fishing trip. Anyone considering a vacation in Barbados should lconsiderCool Hill House as an excellent place to stay.

My wife surprised me with an unexpected flight to Barbados and she even arranged to have 4 other couples meet us to stay at the cool house. I could not have asked for better accomodations and the group had a great time. The owners Marilyn and Dale really went out their way to make sure everything was perfect for our stay. The house is so comfortable and the pool is so fantastic that I could have stayed in the water and not left the house for the entire trip. But luckily I listed to our hosts and went exploring the nearby beaches and there is so much to see and do that I will make sure to go back ASAP! The house was perfect in every way and exactly as advertised - but the best part was the help that Marilyn and Dale (and the kids) provided. Bruce

What a wonderful place! We had a great time celebrating B's 50th birthday. Plenty of room for all ten of us. Many Thanks to Dale and Marilyn for all they did to make our visit special, from Marva and Shirley that took care of our housekeeping, our Chef's Kirk and Kevin and of course our driver "Kat". Cool Hill House was like our own private resort only better, enjoyed the sights as well as just staying on the "Hill" We're already talking about "next time" look forward to seeing you guys soon!
