Chalet Huwi is an authentic Swiss Chalet set in the quiet, picturesque hamlet of Winkelmatten in Zermatt. Chalet Huwi is one of only a handful of free-standing chalets in Zermatt. The chalet, with south facing balcony and great views of the Matterhorn, offers spacious living accommodation, for 8 people; rented together with the apartment Huwi the chalet will accommodate 10 people (Price for 10 guests).
The ancient chapel, local grocery store, restaurants and easy access to the centre of Zermatt, all hiking trails and ski areas makes Huwi the ideal holiday chalet for family and friends.
The Chalet Huwi offers spacious comfortable living accommodation. Large entrance hall games area and ski room, stairs to 1st floor.
On the 1st floor is the south-facing living room with wood-burning fireplace and balcony, open-plan kitchen/dining room, WC, door leading to separate sleeping area comprising bedroom Enzian, bedroom Primula and bathroom with bath/shower and WC.
A winding wooden staircase leads to the 2nd floor onto the landing and gallery, piano. Master bedroom Edelweiss under the eaves with en-suite bathroom with separate bath and shower units and WC. Bedroom Alpenrose under the eaves with en-suite shower room / WC.
Together with the double bedroom apartment it makes the ideal place for 10 people.
From the chalet it is a 10 to 15 minute walk to the centre of Zermatt. The E Bus stop is 70 meters from the house offering direct access to all Ski areas. Taxi service to Chalet Huwi direct available.
Please note that we only accept bookings on a SUNDAY to SUNDAY basis during the season! 3-5 nights on request in middle/low season.

Provided will be, local bread and croissants, butter and jam, honey, cereals, juices and fresh fruit, yogurts, plentiful English tea and good filter coffee, hot chocolate, cold meats, cheeses and boiled eggs. This is presented buffet-style for you to help yourself.
*Afternoon Tea:
The 'welcome home' after a day on the slopes will be laid out ready for your return. A cup of tea or coffee is the perfect accompaniment to a delicious slice of freshly home-made cake.

About the owner: We, Lisa and Roman Haltinner-Perren are living and working in the beautiful village of Zermatt. Lisa grow up in Zermatt and Roman moved 1990 to the village. Roman is working as ski teacher and mountain guide (climbing, mountaineering, ski tours, heli ski, etc). As truly locals we can give you all the information and help you need for your vacation in Zermatt. We're here to make your stay in Zermatt the best you've ever experienced!
