A beautiful Higgins Lake Vacation Home is sitting here for you. This Higgins Lake cottage sleeps up to eight people comfortably and offers all the amenities to make your vacation unforgettable. (With the other houses next to this cottage we can accommodate up to 30 people. See Big House) From the comfort of this accommodation you will be able to enjoy all that Higgins Lake has to offer you. The house is about 100 feet off the water with no obstructions or road in front of the house. This Higgins Lake vacation property offers you the use of very spacious bedrooms and approximately 800 feet of woods behind the house. Take advantage of the kitchen that will make you feel at home with all the essentials you need, including a dishwasher, central air,washer drier and many other amenities. This Michigan vacation rental also boasts a 6 foot deep sandy beach, mooring for a boat, and a ramp to launch a 13 foot or smaller boat, otherwise you can launch at the state park 1 mile east of house.
During your stay at our Higgins Lake vacation rental you will also enjoy cable TV, high speed internet, central air conditioning and BBQ. If you checked out Google map, there is no street behind the Higgins Lake homes. They planned in the 1930's to put a street in but never built it, it's been vacated on the platt for 20 years. Tamarack goes west 100 feet from Bluejay Ave and ends at the beginning of my property.
From I-127 take the south Higgins Lake exit, go east 4.5 miles until you go down a hill, then turn left on Bluejay Ave go to tamarack and turn left, go 100 feet and that is the beginning of my property and the end of Tamarack Ave.

Year Purchased: 1971
I am a semi retired dentist and love being at Higgins Lake. I have three sons scattered across the country. We all converge back at the Lake during the summer and relive the early years with fond memories.
Why the Owner Chose Higgins Lake
My mother bought this cottage (immediately adjacent to our large family vacation home) in the early 1970's. She immediately transformed the house into a photographers studio. After she died, I remodeled the house to serve as my family's vacation home.

My kids, my ex-husband/friend Roger, had a great time time during our stay at John's cottage on Higgins Lake. On the way up we were all a little bit nervous, coming all the way up from Cleveland and all, but once we got here, we knew we were going to have a great time - and we were right! We couldn't believe how colorful the lake was, and the temperature, well, it was perfect! We sunbathed on the dock, and even made homemade blueberry pies over the fire one night. The kids were in heaven, and well, this was just what they needed after a hard year at school. But mostly, it was just what Roger and I needed, after our long work days in the laboratory. I would definitely recommend it to anyone!
