Wood floors, tile and glass showers, central humidification, luxury bed and bath linens, jetted tub, steam shower, 50' LCD TV with Blu-Ray player, original artwork, lovely views of open space and mountains and well-stocked gourmet kitchen with a Weber gas grill on the balcony, make this condo a perfect place for a relaxing mountain vacation--even if you have to stay in touch with your office. The ski school teaching slope is located about 100 yards from our condo.
The office/guest room has a custom built Murphy bed/desk unit that provides comfortable sleeping, as well as a convenient work area for guests who need to stay in touch with the office or work online (printer, 24' monitor and free wireless internet available in the unit--bring your own laptop). The master bedroom has a queen bed and a high quality bed-height self-inflating queen mattress and twin size flip bed are available also.
Transportation: Lift 1 (Chondola)and Lift 10 are less than a 5 minute walk. The Chondola takes you to the Mountain Village base where you will find the ski school and lift ticket offices, restaurants, ski shops and a food market with excellent fresh meat, fish and vegetables, as well as a good selection of grocery essentials and gourmet items. A gondola runs from Mountain Village into the heart of Telluride (5 minutes) for even more shopping and restaurants. If you prefer wheeled transportation, the Galloping Goose shuttle, which serves the Telluride/Mountain Village area, stops regularly just across the street and you can call Dial-a-Ride at any time for door to door transportation.
No driving is necessary if you stay in our condo. However, if you do bring a vehicle, you can park in the enclosed, heated garage under the condo where you also have ski storage--no need to scrape snow/ice from your windshield or get into a cold automobile. If you are flying into Montrose and want to use our 4WD Tahoe that we keep there, let us know and we can discuss that option.

A fun weekend and a great place to stay while attending the Blues and Brews Festival. We were able to go car-free the whole time and loved the convenience of the neighborhood shuttle, gondola, and great hiking accessible by foot right from town. The owners made check-in and check-out super easy and we felt very much at home -- just the right mix of everything!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway.

This condo is absolutely fabulous! Everything is freshly redone and the atmosphere is so welcoming. It's the perfect "home away from home" retreat. Location is so convenient--no need to use a car after arrival! Chondola is a quick walk, then gondola takes you into Telluride proper. Two children (5 and 9) had no problem making the trip to and from the slopes each day and were excited to repeat each night for a gondola ride to town! (So easy and convenient, we ended up going "home" for lunch each day so the kiddos could rest before hitting the slopes again!) Kitchen is awesome and filled with all you need for a great stay. Hosts are gracious and helpful with any questions when planning the trip. All this equals truly the best, easiest family vacation ever! With nothing to worry about, you can focus on family and fun. HIGHLY recommend this condo. You will not be disappointed!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway.

Great condo - attractive, good amenities, comfortable, convenient to public transportation as well as attractions and activities, amazing view. Fantastic condo and location, perfect for TBG weekend. Being up on the mountain was the right choice; we were able to take a shuttle to the gondola and from there it was easy to get down into town and into the festival. The condo is beautifully decorated, very well equipped and the owners are very helpful. The impression they conveyed was that this was their home, and we were invited to stay for the weekend. Whatever was in the fridge or cabinets was ok to use, and whatever we left for them was appreciated. Great hospitality. The whole process was very easy. We would definitely choose to stay in this condo again.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway.

We two senior couples found this condo extremely well equipped for our 10 day ski vacation. It has it all, location, luxurious comfort, superior kitchen AND a beautiful view. The office doubles as the second bedroom with a most comfortable Murphy bed. No disappointments here! If you take a day off from skiing, we highly recommend driving over to Ouray to see the Ice Park and the Box Canyon Falls. Hope to return, in any season of the year, not just Valentine's.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway.

My boyfriend and I went to Telluride for the first time last winter. We were hoping to go back again this year and stay at the condo, but we are now planning our wedding and the WHOLE trip was not in budget nor our vacation time off from work, which we are saving for the honeymoon. We will go in 2012 and stay at this condo again. Jetted bathtub is awesome and key to relaxing sore muscles from long day of skiing. The condo is so close to the chondola. It's completely redone and so so nice on the inside. You really can't ask for more. I promise you will not be disappointed.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway.

We stayed for a week in off season because we wanted a quiet place, but also wanted to be close enough to trails, gondola and necessities. This place was perfect. Not to mention that every detail is minded with the creature comforts. Comfy beds, sitting area. Amazing A/V system. Wonderful "cook's kitchen" for the few nights we didn't enjoy one of the awesome local restaurants. We'll definitely be back!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

About the owner: Moose and Karen love winter skiing, hiking kyaking and rafting in the summer and just experiencing the peacefulness of the mountains. We live on a lake in central Texas, but escape to our mountain retreat several times a year. We love our mountain home and want to share it with others who value the amenities we have added and will enjoy and care for it as we do.
Why the Owner Chose Mountain Village:
The location is convenient to ski area and, via the gondola system, to restaurants and shopping Windows surround the kitchen/living area and the views of the neighborhood and mountains are beautiful. Also, our condo is in a small complex located in a low density, high-end residential area that is quieter and more peaceful than being at the village base.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
Possible use of 4WD Tahoe. Enclosed garage. Good work space and free internet access and long distance.
