Bay Cottage is a cozy spot to spend a relaxing vacation in the northern-most corner of Door County. The cottage is far enough from the hustle bustle to lounge on the patio and enjoy the view of the bay and the peace and quiet of beautiful Gills Rock; yet a short ride will bring you to the dining and shopping many enjoy in Door County. A short walk will bring you to some of Gills Rock's highlights, including Captain Charlie's Smokehouse and Passsenger Ferry, The Shoreline restaurant, and a prime spot to view the sunset over the bay. Come share our 'little piece of the Rock' and see why we fell in love with the area!
*Pet owners: Pets are welcome, with a few stipulations. They must be leashed and house-trained; they are not permitted on furniture or beds; we of course expect that you will pick up the yard after them; and they cannot be left alone inside or outside the cottage for more than a short period of time.

The cottage was very clean and the owner very pleasant to talk with. If you are looking for a place to sleep and make a quick meal this is the place for you. If you are looking for something with more amenities, this may not be the place for you. I really enjoyed my stay here, it was very quite and cozy. The one thing I would recommend the owner do, would be to put a clock in the bedroom. And possibly a small radio. I know people come out there to relax, but some back ground music with dinner is nice. All in all we had a very nice weekend and would stay again. We went to the Bayside restaurant, in Fish Creek for lunch one day, My husband and I had a mushroom Swiss burger and onion rings. By far the best we have every eaten. We stopped at the Sandpiper in Baileys Harbor for breakfast on our way back to the Milwaukee area, my pumpkin pancakes with the maple walnut butter was fabulous and the eggs were cooked to perfection. Even though they were packed we were seated in about 25 minutes, and the food was served within 15 minutes, They definitely know what they are doing there. I would highly recommend both those places to eat.Recommended for: Sightseeing, pet owners, age 55+, adventure seekers.

We stayed here for two nights during the August. Great place for the money, the owner who is a lady lives just behind the cottage was very nice and welcoming. We were a group of 4 and we enjoyed our time there a lot. This place is just couple of steps far from the lake and also has a nice fire-pit in the back. Generally the place is nice, cozy and clean, don't expect a very fancy place but I think it's a great option for the money you pay, and I do recommend this place.Recommended for: Sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

This was a cute and cozy cottage with a bay view just as they said. The cottage was clean, stocked with the basic needs, and has a great firepit in the back. The owners were wonderful, we enjoyed getting to know the family who live behind the cottage.. but far enough away for your privacy. The weather was beautiful for fishing just a minute away, bike riding, and the ferry to Washington Island. Gills Rock is a quiet place to relax away from the hustle of the other towns up the door.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, people with disabilities.
