Escape to the beach and enjoy vacationing in our condo along the Emerald Coast of Florida. We’re located at the West end of Okaloosa Island in Ft. Walton Beach. Vista Del Mar is close to miles of undeveloped natural beach. Our vacation rental has an incredible location and a breathtaking view plus it is well maintained and nicely furnished. You can almost 'reach out and touch the water.' We are on the second floor and an end unit. It does make a big difference in your view!!!! Visitors love the simplicity of a smaller complex. Mornings are enjoyable having coffee from the deck while watching the dolphins swim by. You can relax in the evenings while feeling the gulf breeze and seeing the magnificent sunset.

Ft. Walton…
Main Street in Ft. Walton Beach offers unique shopping and dining along the main strip of Ft. Walton. You will find Coca-cola memorabilia, adorable children’s clothes, souvenirs to take back home and more. Check out the bistro on the corner, their food is wonderful.
The Gulfarium is a great way to spend part of your day. The dolphin shows are almost continuous and you can also visit all sorts of marine life such as seals, sea lions, sharks, alligators, penguins and more.
One of my favorite things to do is going para sailing. Okaloosa Island offers this service for the area. The views are wonderful and the ride is exhilarating.
Visit the Okaloosa Island Fishing Pier. The Pier is 1262 Ft. long and has an octagon at the end so everyone has plenty of room to fish. If you are not in to fishing you can enjoy wonderful sunsets at the pier and also get a chance to see dolphins. If you didn’t bring your rod & reel, don’t worry, you may rent on there.
For night entertainment, the Howl at the Moon is a favorite piano bar. Great fun with great talent!
On the island the Old Bay Steamer is a favorite. The original Fudpuckers Bar & Grill is also a favorite for visitors & locals alike. For the best pizza head over to Helen Back. Los Panchos Mexican Restaurant has take out for those long days on the beach. Pandora’s Steakhouse offers steak, Seafood & prime rib.
Destin…
Once you leave the island you are only a few miles away from Destin, Florida. Great seafood restaurants and entertainment can be enjoyed.
Shop till you drop at The Silver Sands Outlet mall. They house over 100 stores. When you are ready for lunch go to the Cheeseburger in Paradise and for dinner at the close of your day head to Carrabba’s Italian Grill.
Great Shopping, dining & entertainment can be found at the Destin Commons. Baytowne Wharf at Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort offers wonderful dining and specialty stores.
Big Kahuna’s Water Park is a favorite for the entire family. Destin, Florida is known as the “World’s Luckiest Fishing Village.

The condo was clean and comfortable. Love the new bar chairs. The view from the porch is outstanding. Wanda makes the stay nice and easy. Many great places to eat. We always go to the Mardi Gras parades. We look forward to going back next year.Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We have a wonderful stay. The weather was great. We enjoyed watching the pelicans, dolphins, and the surfers. The sunsets were beautiful. The condo is just the right size and the bed is comfy. It is a very quiet section of Okaloosa Island. See you next year.Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway.

We loved this unit & enjoyed our stay here. The location is perfect, quiet & peaceful for a relaxing beach vacation. Wanda was great to deal with & has the perfect set up for anyone wanting a great vacation away from the daily hustle & bustle of it all. My husband & I stayed here for our 30th wedding anniversary. It is a very nice place and the view is beautiful. We had a great time and didn't want to leave. We loved sitting out on the balcony and even got to see about 5 or 6 dolphins the last morning we were here. The unit is on the second floor, so you are sitting up high enough to have a really great view of the ocean and the beach. The condo is in a great location and easy to find. We would definitely stay here again.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

My husband and I just completed 4 nights in this unit. It was a good experience and the unit is very nice. The floors are tile, the walls are painted nicely, and the decorations give you that "beachy" feel without too much "stuff" everywhere. Parking is convenient, access to the beach is steps away, and it is extremely quiet at night. VRBO is accessible if you need her--she was just a phone call away when our code did not work to get us in the unit. I would definitely stay there again.......Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

About the owner: I currently live in North Georgia in a small town called Gainesville. I am a retired school teacher after 35 years in the classroom. I have three beautiful GRANDgirls. I certainly enjoy being their Gigi.
Why the Owner Chose Vista Del Mar:
Our family has owned this unit since 1992. My children have enjoyed many summers in the emerald green waters. Now I get to see my grandchildren do the same.

Small Complex, 9 units - 100 feet from the beach - corner/end unit with it's own private entrance. Extra large window in living area enhances the views and the brightness in the rooms. Sitting on the balcony makes you feel like you could reach out and touch the water. Dolphins playing and Pelicans swoopin in for their catch. Convienient to shopping, restaurants and entertainment, yet away from the crowds and traffic.
