We stayed on the Ocean Views house on Martin Luther King day of 2012 and we had a great time! We enjoyed the house, the hot tub, the nearby beach and the atmosphere. Great location, great house - happily recommending it to others.

Four of us had a lovely stay in Gualala at this very comfortable home. I'd highly recommend it, and we plan to return. Thank you.

My husband and I spend every Christmas in Gualala. We have stayed at many houses, but this house is for sure our favorite. The house is beautiful, spacious, and has all the amenities we love. I do wish the house sat on the cliff side, but the view is still very nice! We will for sure be coming back to this house in the future!

This home was amazing. It had everything we needed for a wonderful weekend get away. The home is well kept and very clean. Very nice kitchen with updated appliances. Furniture was very comfy and the view was real nice from the house. It is across the highway but you can still see the ocean. Nice hot tub outside on the deck where you can see the stars. We loved the bed in the master bedroom. It was more comfy than my own bed. We brought our two dogs with us and they did real well there. We never found the beach that was supposed to be within walking distance but went to another beach that we enjoyed. The house is large and would be real nice for a large family or friends. It was more house than we really needed but we loved being there and will probably make it a regular place to come back to in Gualala.

The house is very nice and I would stay again. It's about 1.1 miles from down town and the access to the beach is the same going north on highway 1 off of CR 526. The private beach access is right across the street, but not safe to use. The bedrooms were comfortable and the room attach to the garage was great. We had a great time and look forward in staying again soon.

We had a wonderful time here, loved the open spaces. Problem is, we had seven people and did not know about the third bedroom. We thought the side house was a garage and storage area. We sure could have used the extra room. My suggestion to make it more comfortable would be to somehow be able to cover the big window over the bed in the loft. The sun really heats that room up during the day making it almost unbearable. Hot tub and fireplace and kitchen were great. Beach access right down the road was relatively easy to get to. Could you tell me more about that third bedroom and how we were supposed to access it?

We loved our stay at the house in Gualala - It was absolutely perfect! We definitely appreciated how well the kitchen was stocked. Also, the view of the ocean, the location of the house, the fabulous fireplace, the wonderful hot tub, and the incredibly comfortable beds made for a outstanding experience. We can’t wait to stay again!

Just a note to let you know that we absolutely loved the house in Gualala. It was a perfect size for the six of us and three dogs. Everyone had a great time. The house was well stocked-to my surprise. Other homes we have rented were lacking on basic amenities like dish soap and paper goods-this place had everything and more. The beds were comfy and we all slept very well. Even though the house is very close to highway 1-it was quiet and tranquil. We look forward to renting this place again in the not too distant future. Thanks for a smooth rental transaction-we really did have a wonderful time.

Enjoyed our 4 night getaway to this rental retreat. We have been frequent visitors to Gualala/Anchor Bay area since 1982. This was our 1st stay at this home. We enjoyed the location and the great beaches. Our daughter & son-in-law enjoyed countless hours at their favorite beach returning with a bounty of sea shells. Very impressed with the kitchen & all its offerings. Our only negative was the curb appeal......the grass definitley needed to be mowed. This was a distraction to activities outdoors as the family photo opportunities presented a very bleak background. The array of windows from the window seat provided much tranquility and relaxation. We so enjoyed the cooler temperatures and the need to wear a sweatshirt in July. Thanks for making our family vacation so very memorable.

The house is everything it's advertised to be. The kitchen is great and the back deck/BBQ area is right off the kitchen, making it very convenient for outdoor grilling. There is a great CD and DVD selection and although we didn't use it - the TV is a nice size for viewing movies. The house is in a great location for day trips and Mendocino was an easy trip with stops at Point Arena and Cabrillo Point on the route. Would stay here again!

We were pleased with this house. Our family of three plus dog was quite pleased with the amount of space, the amenities (well-stocked kitchen a big plus), the yard, and proximity to beach/town. Our son loved the loft bedroom and the expansive bench seating in the living room (He's 4, so it worked well as a play area for him and his toys). Our dog enjoyed the wrap-around yard, and we enjoyed that he came home tick-free! (not something he's been able to avoid at other Mendocino rentals) We'll come back again!

We found this place to be a nice relaxing spot to spend the weekend. We spent 2 nights and had we been able to get more time off, could have easily turned it into a 4 night stay with all the local things to do. Our group consisted of 2 couples and one dog - definitely could have brought another couple considering there was a third, detached bedroom. The only bummer about the detached bedroom is they would have to come back to the main house for the restroom. Also could have a couple kids there as there is plenty of couch space for sleeping. The master bedroom was great, the bed was incredibly cozy and the linens were nice. Both bathrooms were nice and the kitchen was very well appointed. We cooked all our meals at the home, both in the kitchen and on the grill, which worked out well. A previous review stated the grill was too full of ash to use, we didn't have that problem.. I believe the guys emptied out the ashes that were in it prior to firing it up, but it was no big deal. Nice little supermarket in town in case you forget anything for you meals. Spent one afternoon just walking downtown (less than a mile I'd say) and spending some time in the cute little shops. The private access across the street is a nice idea, but we didn't end up going all the way down because the stairs were kind of questionable and there's really nowhere to go once you get down there. Great beach access about 2 miles south though just across the county line - $6 to park and a short walk down - great for a picnic. We'd definitely go back for another weekend stay, great that it's dog friendly - only bummer is it's not completely fenced off and the fence is easy for the dogs to climb through so you definitely have to keep an eye on the hound if you have a wandering dog like we do. I highly recommend it!

The good points for this particular house are: House: Kitchen was well appointed. Living room views of the ocean were good, couch very comfortable. Great colletion of CDs and books. Beds were comfortable. Bathrooms well stocked with very good towels and soaps. Lots of candles around. Location: House was easy to find. We got there at midnight. Good location as the beach down the road is very close. It is a great beach too. Gualala is a terrific place to take a vacation whether it is a weekend or longer. Lots of things to do. Negatives: The hot tub was very dirty. It was obvious that the tub had not been cleaned in a while, or the last tenants had a party in there. We could not use it. BIG disappointment. The bedrooms are gvery nice, comfortable beds and nice linens. It is really a 2 bedroom house with a 3rd bedroom in back of the garage, which is detached . Access to the 3rd bedroom is either out the front door or through the master bedroom. Not a big deal, but something to consider if you are there with a group. The house is on the Rt. 1. Not too bad, but road noise, especially when motorcycles and big trucks go by. The bbq was so full of ashes it was apparent that it had not been cleaned in a very long time. Cigarette buts were in the outdoor fireplace. The previous tenants? Laundry is available, which is good, but it is in the master bedroom. The private cove is very nice, but the stairway access is dangerous and in order to get to the water, one must be able to traverse a roap down the deep slope. Bottom line the house is relatively nice. I would return to the house but would insist that the hot tub and bbq are in working order. I would also consider the people I bring with me. Teenagers may like the detached third bedroom in order to be away from the parents, but if they are there making noise the parents would not sleep much in the master as it is right outside the bedroom door.

I've stayed up in the Sea Ranch area many times and love it. But this was really one of the nicest visits ever. We left the Bay Area Friday during rush hour and took the "long route" Lucas Valley Road to Hwy 1 from Pt. Reyes Station. It was gorgeous the whole way and we were in a great mood when we arrived at 9 o'clock. The house was warm and inviting, the beds beautiful, the kitchen well stocked. Kids went upstairs and two couples took the two bedrooms--both were very comfortable--one couple got the master suite with gorgeous jacuzzi tub, but the other couple got the pleasure of being across the deck with privacy (away from the kids). But the house would have worked well for three couples too. Saturday we took hot tubs, made leisurely breakfast and then spent the whole day playing at hidden cove (pictures in the advert). We were all blissed out by the time we returned to read books, take naps, play board games and build puzzles (and make an apple pie--the kitchen even had a rolling pin). Then we made a fabulous dinner and built a lovely fire in the fire pit on the deck. Watched the stars, sat around and talked while kids played. Sunday explored Gualala and found terrific brunch at Twink's, came back and packed up slowly. Then we hiked in Gualala Regional Park along the beach, up on the bluff, found nice picnic spot and saw sea lions playing around. Headed back along the coast as the sun dropped feeling like we'd had a total getaway in just two days. The house was lovely, just as advertised, owner really helpful. I have no reservations about recommending it to anyone looking for a rental in the area. You really can't beat this for the price
