If you want to leave the crowd behind and enjoy summer fun, a winter playground or a peaceful retreat, this property might be just what you are looking for. Located just a short walk from the South Fork of the Boise River, it is near Anderson Ranch Reservoir, at the base of the Trinity Mountains, adjacent to the natural Paradise Hot Springs, minutes to the golf course, a short drive to Baumgartner Hot Springs, about 15 miles from the mining ghost town of Rocky Bar, accessible to hundreds of miles of hiking, OHV and snowmobile trails, and within a 90 minute drive to Sun Valley. It sits at the Boise National Forest's Green's Creek Trailhead. In effect, it is both a summer and a winter paradise. We have stayed in several cabins throughout the US, and this is the most wonderful place we have ever stayed. The cabin is fabulous, with plenty of room for all. The view out the living room windows was amazing! Enjoyed the snow -- tobogganing and snow shoeing. Kids and dogs had a great time just playing around the firepit in the snow. Didn't use them but there were also lots of trails for snowmobiles. Saw some elk while there. Will definitely come back!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

This house is perfect for families or a few couples vacationing together. We had such a wonderful time. There is a separate playroom downstairs (with its own tv, etc.) that is wonderful if you have people (or little ones) that get up different times. The wrap-around porch is huge with amazing chairs to relax in and even a picnic table in a covered section. We'd never been to this area before - but it was so much fun - we mountain biked every day (the Greens Creek trailhead is a 1 minute walk away), went to the hot springs (2 min. walk) and just generally enjoyed being away from everything (no cell reception but there is a house phone). It's really well set up if you have kids - the stairs to the playroom/bunk room area have a door you can close, there's a full laundry room, and the porch/deck has a full low wall around it. The house had maps, guide books, etc. Everyone, including the dogs, the toddlers and the adults had just a lovely time, and the owners couldn't have been sweeter to deal with. (We would recommend bringing some bottled water or buying some in town as the water in the whole area is kind of hot-springy smelling.)Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Enjoy the beauty of nature in the comfort of home. Where a list of to do's becomes a list of non existence. Mornings spent by the fireplace, evenings by the bonfire. Spend afternoons reading and napping, hiking and fishing, swimming or boating. Do everything. Do nothing. Wildlife separated only by windows that stretch from wall to wall, ceiling to ceiling. Only the trees, river and birds break the incredible silence. Escape from reality.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.
