I stayed at this fantastic condo with 3 of my college girlfriends this past weekend. The condo was spotless, the location great, and working with the owner was a breeze. I was the one who booked the condo and my friends all raved about what a great job I did. We loved the security of the building as well, and the beds were most comfortable. As some other reviewers noted, it can be a bit loud in the night as the first floor of the building houses restaurants, and delivery trucks/garbage trucks may come through. But it was just a minor inconvenience compared to the quality of the condo, that none of us complained. I would stay again and recommend it to anyone.

I have to agree with everyone else. The location is perfect, you can walk everywhere. If you are flying in you do not need a car. Everything about the inside of the condo is great, the bathrooms are huge. Everything is very clean and bright. Make sure you put on the noise machine before going to bed, the ally noise in the morning can be a load. The owner was very easy to work with and everything went off without a hitch. The condo is nicer than what i was expecting. I would book again.

Very nice condo w/ all the amenities and you can't beat the location. Easy to walk anywhere near the river and close to a lot of good restaurants (we chose Alligator Soul & Vic's on the River... both excellent). The owner made sure we were squared away and the free parking is a nice plus.

Great place to stay. Condo was super clean, smelled so fresh. We did have a problem with the fireplace. I called and someone came right away to fix it. The location is great for all the things you need to do. Many restaurants, shopping, and strolling by the river.

Unit was spotless and well furnished. Owner was very responsive--for example the prior renter took the parking pass and I was alerted before the visit to just advise the parking expense and he would send a check--did not even need a receipt. Unit is on Bay Street so you can pick up the tour trolly 1 block away at the Market. Walked to dinner each night and well fed. Hotel across the street w/ water views for a pre-dinner cocktail. There is a trash pickup around 6 or 630 in the morning in the alley behind the unit. Owner has white noise machines in both bedrooms but we did not bother using. Not really an issue. Give it a try as it is a great bargain.

This is an awesome, well-decorated and stocked condo. It is ready to live in, with towels/linens, plates and silverware, etc. I stayed there with some college friends over St. Patty's weekend and had a great time. The location in the North Historic District is perfect--you can see city market from the balcony, and river street is a couple blocks in the other direction. Highly recommend the condo for any type of group.

I rented this condo for a girls weekend in Savannah. We had a group of six and most of us had never been to Savannah before. The condo was absolutely perfect and I will always rent this condo for future Savannah trips. The condo is very safe, there are codes to get in the building itself and then also the condo. The building and condo were both clean and spacious with minimal levels of noise from neighbors. There was some noise for the two girls sleeping in the living room, but that is expected when you are at such a central location. Both bedrooms had sound machines that provided some noise buffer, but they weren't really necessary. The ceilings are very high, bathrooms are large and beds/couches are comfortable. The kitchen is large enough to cook for several people, but we chose to go out to eat to enjoy the city! When you step out onto the small balcony and look to the left you are right at city market, home to lots of restaurants, bars, and live music venues. Rivers street is a few minutes walk from the condo and everything else is even closer! I would definitely recommend this condo for families, couples vacationing together, outings for a group of guys/girls, and even older folks. Easy check-out process as well!

This is a beautiful unit that feels like a resort property! Plenty of space, high ceilings, 2 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths. You will never want to stay at a hotel again! Perfect location to be able to walk to all attractions and even includes free parking for 1 car. I can only hope that the next time we visit Savannah it will be available! There is some noise in the early mornings from delivery trucks and trash pick up in the back alley, but the noise really didn't matter compared to all the amenities that were offered and the unit was even more beautiful that the photos showed too. We would recommend this unit to anyone wanting to visit Savannah!

I have visited Savannah probably 15 times while my daughter has been a student at SCAD and have stayed at many different places. I'll never want to go back to a hotel room again! This condo was so perfectly located for all that we wanted to do in the city. Plus, having the living area, with the gas log fireplace (the weather was cool), made it comfortable for us to just hang out "at home" with our daughter and our friends who joined us on the trip. Having the condo as a home base made it such a relaxing time instead of feeling like we were always on the move and having to find places to go just to be together. The pictures are completely accurate of the interior but do not capture the scale of the place. The ceilings are high, the hallways wide and the rooms big. It is very spacious and very clean. The condo is so well located for exploring Savannah. Great restaurants and shopping are just steps away and how convenient to just pop back to the condo to drop off bags, rest, or regroup for your next outing. As others have stated, the alley does have delivery noise at night but that did not bother us at all. Our room even had a white noise machine in it which was a nice touch. The logistics of rental were very easy and all information was accurate and timely. The owners provided complete instructions on directions, parking, access, and contact information. In the unit, they had a good information package of restaurants and attractions in the area. I highly recommend this place for anyone wanting to feel at home while traveling.

Our party of four spent a very enjoyable three-day stay at this spacious and thoroughly modern condo. The arrangement of two queen-sized bedrooms with attached baths was perfect--no one felt like they were getting short-changed. A sofa bed in the living room would have accomodated an additional two people. The condo was immaculate, well-appointed, fully equipped, and centrally located. The unit was everything we could have expected and more. The parking space in the adjacent garage was an added bonus. We parked our car on arrival and never had to move it until we left. Everything we wanted to see and do in Savannah was within walking distance of this property. And, since this was our first time in the city, there was a lot we had on our list--dinner at Paula Dean's restaurant (which now takes reservations and I highly recommend the chicken pot pie), shopping at City Market (especially artist Stephen Kasun's studio), sightseeing on River Street, walking tours through the city squares, pralines and sugared pecans at Savannah Candy Kitchen, and a visit to the Jepson Center for the Arts. We purchased Frommer's Portable Savannah guide before our trip and used it extensively for our self-guided waking tours. Do not miss Forsyth Park with its iconic fountain, Colonial Park Cemetery, and Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. Also recommended are Clary's Cafe and Goose Feathers Cafe for lunch, the Chart House Restaurant for a special dinner, and the top of the Bohemian Hotel for drinks at sunset. We would definitely stay at this property again.

We stayed for a 3 day weekend and enjoyed the central location in downtown. It was great to not have to drive anywhere and have all the best parts of Savannah within a few blocks. The condo is very nice and felt like home. We really enjoyed the balcony for people watching and the fireplace came in handy during our visit in February. Can't wait to go back...

This is the second time that I've stayed at the News Place condo, both times for a convention in Savannah. When my fellow conference goers heard about where I was staying, they were so jealous. For considerably less than what they were paying, I had a luxurious bedroom, a bathroom almost as large as my bedroom back home, a kitchen where I could have my coffee in my pjs, and convenient parking without having to wait on the valet. The condo is beautifully appointed, and so comfortable. I value my privacy, but did not have to give up the convenience of being within steps of River Street and the squares of Savannah.

I booked this beautiful condo last minute for a girls weekend. The owner was very helpful and super nice. We arrived to a beautiful, spacious 2 br condo that was located right in the heart of downtown Savannah. The pictures do not do this place justice! My girlfriends loved it. We were very comfortable all weekend. Walked everywhere! We ate out in the evenings and I used the fully stocked kitchen to make breakfast both mornings. This was my first trip to Savannah and I'm already trying to plan another trip.

My husband and daughter and I met another couple in Savannah for a long weekend. The condo was huge and the pictures did not do it justice. We had more than enough space and it is a beautiful property. All of us had been to Savannah in the past and knew the area. We couldn't beleive we got such a nice property for the price with its amazing location. As far as traveling with a toddler, we brought a blow up twin matress and the huge walk-in closet was big enough to set up the mattress, rather than have it right next to our bed or taking up a walk-way. She loved her make-shift cubby.

I can't say enough good things about our visit in Savannah at the News Place. Everything in the ad is accurate, and even better than described. Very clean and well stocked. Much more spacious than the photos depict. One of the best things is the location....right in the center of anything you want to do. Walked everywhere. We had a very special night at Vic's on the River- excellent food. The owner was so easy to work with. We will definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone.

We have stayed in this condo multiple times and love staying here. The condo has a perfect location to walk to the City Market, restaurants / bars, taking the ferry and shopping on Bay Street. It is very clean and has plenty of room to relax at the end of the day. We will stay here again next year! The owners are extremely service oriented and respond quickly to requests. We highly recommend this condo.

The condo was within walking distance to most everything, and there is a trolley stop just across the street. It is a very spacious condo, with a full size washer and dryer which make things convenient for coming home. The fireplace can warm the entire condo, and make it very comfortable. It is easy to get in and out of the parking garage, and we drive a large SUV. Would recommend this condo to any friends or family headed to the Savannah area, no matter how long the stay. There are also two great restaurants right underneath the condo, good food at both places.

We've been to Savannah several times but this was our first experience renting a vacation rental by owner! Such a positive experience was enjoyed by all of us! We thought we wanted a house for the privacy it would offer but with the location & garage parking included w/this condo it was so much better suited for our needs. Living in the country we weren't use to the street noise @ night but we've had louder @ other vacation locations. We loved the spaciousness of the condo - bedrooms were good size, mattress was very firm & very comfortable after the long drive to Savannah, bathrooms entrance from bedroom was perfect for privacy plus the extra half bath in that immense hall! Kitchen met our needs also as the only meal we ate in was breakfast then shop, shop, shop walk & explore Savannah (no driving trying to find parking for us) & enjoy the restaurants - Goosefeathers, Boar's Head & Huey's, Jere's Antiques, Southern Gents & more! We definitely want to stay here again when we come to Savannah!

My family and I really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful condo. The building was at a great location. We enjoyed siting on the balcony and watching people. It was located close to all the places we enjoyed. The bedrooms were spacious but located next to the alley and was noisy, but we chose to go on a very busy weekend( Oktober fest so the noise was to be expected. The staff was very helpful and we would stay here again.

We rented this condo for a girls weekend and it was beyond our expectations! It was so nice, the hardwood floors were beautiful, it had a cute decor, and good quality, comfortable mattresses (I sell mattresses:). There were 5 of us, all girls mind you, and the place was plenty big enough. It was great having free parking and the washer and dryer were a huge plus! Location is key and we were able to walk everywhere! From shopping to restaurants, to nightlife, everything was right there! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

Lovely condo with attractive decor in a location that is tops for convenience! We were able to walk EVERYWHERE--didn't move our car once we parked it on Friday until we left on Monday. Spacious layout made the unit very comfortable for four women. The electronic key pads at the building's front and back doors and on the condo's front door make this building and condo feel very safe and secure. Be prepared for some urban noise if you elect to stay this close to River Street.

This was a short summer vacation getaway for our family of five (5) including me, my husband, two teenage boys (14 and 15), and my mom. When we arrived to the condo it was better than expected! We were pleasantly surprised to find a luxurious, comfortable, spacious, and immaculate space to spend the next couple of days in historical Savannah. The beauty of the décor and richness and warmth of the wood floors does not come through in the pictures! The two (2) master bedroom suites suited the adults perfectly and the pull out couch in the living room was ideal for the teens. We did use the kitchen during our stay and it had everything we needed. The location in historic Savannah could not have been better for exploring the area. The condo is within walking distance of many great places to grab a bite to eat, including Moon River Brewing Company and Paula Deens, as well as local attractions and points of interest. The hotel across the street is a meeting for historical and ghost tours, too. Once we parked our car in the garage (no extra cost for this!) we did not need to move it to drive anywhere because the condo was so convenient to everything! You will not be disappointed staying here. The condo is beautifully decorated, conveniently located, and the best value for your money of anywhere else you could possibly find. I would also like to thank the owner who was exceptional to work with in coordinating our spur-of-the-moment trip. We are looking forward to returning soon!

Upon our arrival we felt at home. The condo was clean, light and very comfortable. Our group was two couples, who have both visted Savannah on various trips over the years to stay with my daughter. For this trip since both couples were arriving at the same time we opted to find a VRBO that could accommodate us and have room to entertain my daughter and her family. This condo is perfect. We found the kitchen fully equiped, the bedrooms large with very comfortable beds and with walk-in closets and a hair dryer in the bathroom. There is also a washer and dryer conveniently located. It was wonderfull too to have the parking space available since we did venture out of the historic distric every day. We highly recommend this condo if you are an early riser and enjoy the hubbub of the tourist center.

I reserved this condo for 2 couples for just 2 nights. We were in town for a breast cancer fund raiser and the location couldn't have been better. Just off River Street and right around the corner from the start/finish of the 5K. The condo was perfect. Quite roomy and so much better than reserving 2 hotel rooms. We actually did cook and the appliances/pans/dishes were nice. The bedrooms are very roomy and comfortable with very large, private bathrooms and closets. There's also a quite nice half bath. The living room/kitchen/dining area is large and very comfortable. The condo is quite luxurious feeling and very well appointed. We couldn't have been more pleased with the accomodations. It's very clean and well taken care of. And the balcony really was a nice addition to the entire experience. One of the reviews said the photos didn't do the condo justice. I have to agree-they really don't. It's so much nicer than you'd think looking at the posted pictures. And with the parking garage just behind the building with a reserved parking spot for the condo, it was very convenient. I'm just sorry we didn't stay longer. We will be back again!

We all thoroughly enjoyed this lovely 2 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath apartment. There are 2 very nice bedrooms with beautiful en suite baths, a spacious entry and hallway with another 1/2 bath, a comfortable living room/dining/kitchen combination with balcony and gas fireplace, and very nice linens and towels. (Be sure and bring your own bar of bath soap and a box of Kleenex tissues though. Surprisingly, those standard items were NOT provided.) Otherwise, the apt was well supplied, very nicely appointed, and spacious. I loved the kitchen and granite countertops, although we mostly ate out. The building itself is well maintained, and perfectly situated on Bay Street (away from the loud, party atmosphere found one block over on River St). However, like clockwork, every morning at 7:15 AM, an incredibly loud, clanging garbage truck stopped in the alleyway right under our 2nd floor bedroom window to pick up garbage. I didn't bother setting an alarm since we could count on being rudely awakened by this loud, morning ritual. So if you like to sleep in, you might look elsewhere. A block away, we found a delightful breakfast spot called Goose Feathers Cafe & Bakery. On Good Friday, we waited 2 1/2 hours in line to eat at Mr's Wilke's Dining Room. Great quantities of old-fashioned southern food like my grandmother cooked, but I'd certainly never wait that long again! Apparently, it was an unusually long wait due to the holiday weekend. We also had a fantastic meal at nearby Garibaldi's (crispy, scored flounder), and heard an unbelievably talented band at a bar called Bay Street Blues located a few blocks east of our apt. Apparently, they only play a couple nights a week, so we were lucky to catch them on a Thursday night. We only needed our car one time, when we drove across the bridge to see a nature preserve (fantastic if you like bird-watching and alligators) and eat lunch in Beaufort...a charming town with pleasure and fishing boats along the river, restaurants, and a wonderful riverfront park.We also drove to Charleston and spent a few happy hours wandering on foot before heading back to Savannah. Despite the elegant beauty of Charleston, we all agreed that we preferred the laid-back character of Savannah with its gorgeous parks sprinkled throughout the city. Our last night, we walked across the street to The Bohemian Hotel and had cocktails and appetizers on their rooftop bar that overlooks the river and bridge. It's a magical spot at sunset!

Owner response: Hello, We are very glad to hear you enjoyed your stay. I apologize for the items that were not provided with the unit, they should have been included but there was a mix up. We are also continuously working with the building and the City concerning the garbage pickup time, we hope to have this issue resolved in the near future. Thanks so much for taking time to give us a review! Kiel McCully

Everything about it was PERFECT--the size, the location, the accomodations, the amenities (the provided garage parking space is worth it's weight in gold although we didn't move our car for 4 days becuase of the close proximity to everything!!) and especially it's VALUE!! The pictures of this condo DO NOT DO IT JUSTICE!! When you open the coded door( no losing or leaving the key!),you are initially greeted with about a 35'x6' hallway of beautiful wide planked pine floors with high ceilings and moldings and it just gets better with the gas fireplace, extremely comfortable beds, jetted tub and separate showers, high end kitchen, and a balcony that's great for people watching. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND this condo and it's friendly and helpful management--YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!! We will be returning ASAP!! THANKS FOR A GREAT MONTH--WE DIDN'T WANT TO LEAVE!!

My wife and I and our two adult daughters rented this condo in mid-April and had a fabulous time! The condo is located within walking distance to where the action is in Savannah. exe: the City Market, the Lady and Sons, River Road, shops, and numerous fine dining establishments. The condo is very nice, extremely roomy, clean, and very well appointed with the latest of creature comforts. It is a very good VALUE for the $!

I stayed here for a week at the end of March and absolutely loved it. The high ceilings and large space made me feel very comfortable. The condo is located near Ellis Square and other Savannah hot spots. I would highly recommend this condo and it is a very good value.

The condo is beautifully appointed with every amenity one would desire. It exceeded our expectations with it’s charming atmosphere. The building is well constructed and quiet even though situated in an urban setting. And it is so conveniently located in the heart of Savannah on Bay Street . Nearby are fine restaurants, parks, shops, museums and the riverfront. Paula Deen’s restaurant, The Lady & Sons, is a block away. A trolley stop for the Savannah Sightseeing Tour is only a short walk. We think this is a great condo. We loved staying there and highly recommend it.
