The home was beautiful with everything you could possibly need! My bowling team stayed in the home while we were in Baton Rouge for the Open Championships and it was a perfect fit for the 6 of us. Jim was VERY nice to work with and even went out of his way to help with all of our bowling ball shipments and we can't thank him enough for his hospitality. Not only was the home peaceful but the neighborhood was just as nice, what a great way to relax each night!

What can I say? The house was fantastic!! Tastefully decorated, spacious, clean, like-new condition inside with a huge master bed and bathroom. Even has a jacuzzi tub!! Located in a very quiet, safe neighborhood!! Owners communication was great and he really thought of everything. Right down to providing a list of recommended restaurants for Louisiana cooking! House was generously stocked with items most people would not think of. It was like we were there to live for good. I would recommend this to anyone...anytime. Wish this owner has more homes in other cities!! Fantastic value for the money! Thanks again Jim!!

Into town for a vacation / bowling tournament. Found this house to be absolutely the finest form of accomodations we could have hoped for. It was clean, comfortable, and such a pleasure to come back to after a day's events. I can only hope that whenever we plan a trip, we can find something such as this house to stay in. Jim thought of almost everything we could possibly need. There were items we brought that we thought we would need, only to find them supplied in the house. We left many items for the next renters as it seemed to be the right thing to do. Thank You to Jim for making our vacation one to remember. Our team mates also rented through VRBO and were not as satisfied with their accomodations as we were. They wished they had gotten the house we had before we did.

AWESOME does not begin to describe this wonderful home away from home. Jim and I communicated VERY well over the time from our reservation until our stay (approximately 9 months). After our long day of driving when we arrived a the home, we were unbelievably surprised to find an IMMACULATE home away from home. Some of the very nice touches we found included a FULLY stocked spice pantry and plenty of paper towels and toilet paper already there. We also found some cold adult beverage waiting for us in the fridge (cuts the road dust very well). The neighborhood is secluded and quiet. I do not believe there was much more we could have asked for form Jim. We will be staying there again on our next trip to Baton Rouge. AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME

My husband and I were also in town for the National bowling tournament and since we were travelling with our toddler son, we wanted to be someplace more comfortable than a hotel. We also had my dad with us and my aunt and uncle decided to stay as well since we'd have the room (like an impromtu family reunion - we all live in different states!). Having stayed in a private home once before, we were blown away by the amenities here. My aunt and uncle regularly stay in time shares and rentals and they said this was by far the most well appointed they had seen. Not only were there spices in the cabinet, but the pantry was well stocked too. A cooler to borrow if you need it. A pack & play and high chair that were perfect for our little one. The entire home was very clean and well maintained. Jim has set the bar very high with this property! Thanks for a great stay and we'll be sure to stay again when we're in Baton Rouge!

Our family of five, stayed here over the Easter weekend for the wedding of our other son. The accommodations were wonderful, especially for our daughter-in-law, who is expecting, and was able to rest between events. The wedding took place at a nearby plantation home, so we were able to go back and forth quickly. We took our five year- old grandson to Bluebonnet Swamp, which is nearby. There are great tree shaded walking trails and an air-conditioned information center. This home is ideal for any event in the Baton Rouge area, (an LSU game, a convention, etc.) This is an absolutely perfect home away from home with every possible amenity and comfort.

Our group stayed here for our trip to Baton Rouge for the National Bowling Tournament and we will very likely never stay in a hotel again. Jim has a great setup for everything that a person would need on a trip, it was like being at our own house. Almost everything you could think of was furnished and available for use. I would recommend this house to anyone travelling to the Baton Rouge area as it is in a great location to get to where ever you need to go. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Great house, well-appointed. The owner has pretty much thought of everything and is refreshingly organized. We appreciated the well-supplied kitchen and the TVs as well as how neatly kept and pleasant the interior was.

Thank you for this wonderful vacation property. We stayed the weekend of 9-17-11 for my sister's wedding. My husband and I found the need for rental houses while on vacation when we had our daughter (she does not sleep well in hotels). I found this house easily through an online search and was amazed by the photo and description. The owner was very accessible to answering andy and all questions and was very flexible about check-in and check-out times. My parents viewed the house prior to check-in and were stunned with how well-maintained it was. It was only minutes away from the wedding venue and made it easy for the wedding party to get ready at the house without feeling cramped for space. The house was very well stocked (everything that could be needed was already in the house). Some food was already available but there is a grocery store and several restaurants all within a couple minutes of the property. The owner has even made this rental "kid-friendly" by providing a high chair and play pen. This house was all we could want and more to make my sister's wedding weekend unforgettable!

My family of 5 really enjoyed the house and all the amenities it provided to us. It was sure nice to have coffee, condiments, spices etc. It eliminates the hassle and cost of buying these things at a store. The linens and towels were top notch. The beds were comfortable. Laundry facility with detergent was greatly appreciated. There was a lot of room for our family. It was great to have an efficient air conditioning system given the day temperatures ranged from 96 to 113 degrees. We really enjoyed Baton Rouge. There is a lot to do there. We enjoyed downtown Baton Rouge, LSU, ziplining in Denham Springs (30 minutes from the house), and all the nice restaurants. The house was in a great location so we could easily access the interstates to drive to New Orleans, the outlet mall, Gulf Coast, River Road (plantation country), the swamp tours etc. Louisiana is an interesting and lovely state and Baton Rouge is a lovely place to visit!

We were very happy with living in this home for a week this summer. The property is well maintained, clean, and the cul-de-sac was quiet and private. A lot of nice touches like the welcome bottle of wine, Community coffee, Hershey kisses, and a morning paper. The availability of free, unlimited calling via Vonage was a plus when a teenager's phone broke (Oh, the horror!). Jim is available for questions and advice but does not intrude upon the vacation. This home was in a great location where we were able to get to LSU, downtown Baton Rouge, Dixie Landing, and I-10 easily. Great restaurants surround the area and a nail salon (did I mention teenage girls?). Cable TVs in every room made the teenagers controllable at night after cribbage. We would recommend this home to anyone so long as they do not try to rent it when we return. Jim, nice job.

This listing description is more than accurate. The property looks even better in person!! It is located on one end of a very quiet cul de sac. This property is extremely well appointed. We were so happy we did not have to purchase spices or misc items like butter etc as we have had to do in the past with other rentals. The pantry even included tea, coffee, syrup and other items to make our stay even more pleasant. It is a beautiful home and completely exceeded our expectations. It was extremely clean. The owner was very professional and helpful. If you are looking for a place to stay in Baton Rouge, this is it!

We first began using VRBO about ten years ago and this was hands-down the best experience that we've had to date. If I were to rate this home on a scale of 1 to 10, I would give it a 15! It's just that nice! Jim has thought of just about anything and everything that you will need during your stay from the kitchen (pots, pans, spices, pantry items, condiments, etc.) to the bathroom (night light, air freshener) to the closets (hangers & storage). The beautiful pictures shown here really don't do the home justice. It was immaculately cleaned, in a safe, convenient and quiet location, and was a wonderful home away from home for our week in Baton Rouge. One of the things that impressed me the most about this home was the open layout and especially the spacious kitchen. Since I love to cook, I had planned to prepare some of our meals during our stay. The kitchen was so nice and had just about anything that you would need. I had actually brought several things from home thinking that I would need them, only to find that the house already had it there. In all of the other homes that we've rented, you would have a few pots, pans and dishes but no spices, condiments, or other staples, however, this house that all of this and more! We came to Baton Rouge with our two youngest children, both teens, for a family get away. The house was perfectly suited for us but there was also an air mattress in the master closet that you could put in the living room if more space was needed. The beds were so incredibly comfortable that we really didn't even realize that we weren't sleeping in our own comfy beds at home. During our time in Baton Rouge we enjoyed Blue Bayou/Dixie Landin', Mall of Louisiana, Town Center, as well as many of the other great shopping and eating places in and around the area. I would highly recommend this house to anyone who would be in the area for more than a couple of days.

We arrived on time and realized that the pictures didn't fully show how beautiful the house really is. My family and I enjoyed our entire stay and this house helped. The cost of our rental was a lot better than any hotel, and it allowed us the privacy that we wanted. I would fully recommend this house to anyone that would like peace and quiet, as well as the freedom that a house provides.

Our family of five, along with my parents were visiting Baton Rouge very last minute. We needed somewhere to stay, close to my elderly grandparents house that was clean. We had stayed in hotels before around the area and were very disappointed! Once we got to this house however, we were all so excited! I was deemed as the hero for finding this perfect house to stay in! All of the rooms are beautiful, well maintained, and VERY comfortable! We all slept great and had everything you could imagine! The kitchen is very well stocked, and VERY clean! This was an amazing experience, and it gave our family wonderful memories! We can't wait to come back to stay!! Thanks so much for everything you do to make this house so fantastic!!!

We are going to sound like everyone else, cannot say enough about Jim and this house. We were in Baton Rouge for 1 week to prepare for and attend our daughters wedding. It was such a pleasure to come home to this house everynight. We hosted the rehearsal dinner at this house, It could not have been more perfect. The attention to detail is second to none, Jim has thought of everything. Now that we have "family" in Baton Rouge we hope to come back and stay in this house again.

We have leased this home for 5 weeks-and have enjoyed every day. The home is well-furnished and the owner provides many extras, i.e. paper towels, spices, laundry soap and much more. The home is extremely well located, being accessible to all parts of Baton Rouge, 1 hour max to NO and lots of day trips to the fascinating cajun country. We will definitely return next year-and will enjoy the many Mardi Gras parades and activities available in Baton Rouge. Many great restaurants close by. And the weather was and is glorious!!! The home is spotless and the owner is fabulous-more than willing to do anything to make your stay enjoyable.
Owner response:Everything in life happens for a reason. Sally was the first person to reserve my home when I started renting it. I have to say she and her husband have been a total delight and came to be my guest at the anniversary of the passing of my mom. Having you two here meant more to me that I think you realized. It was a blessing to have your energy and zest for life. You reminded me so much of and brought back many special memories of my mom. So thank you for your kind words and thanks for being here. I look forward to hosting you two again next year. Jim

Stayed a week in December in this beautiful home. Great location, quite neighborhood, very comfortable. Everything you can imagine is available. It is better than awesome - we look forward to being able to book a date for another stay. Really wanted to rent again in Feb 2011, but it is already booked - don't wait to book if you know you will be in the area - it is a jewel!

I just can't say enough good things about this rental! The beds/linens were extremely comfortable, the home was beautifully decorated, and everything was very clean. We felt right at home the moment we arrived. We were in town for a church convention and it was in the perfect location, as well. The kitchen was fully stocked and there were tons of nice fluffy towels. When we noticed that the blender had a small crack in it, Mr. Mora actually brought us another one!! I was completely amazed by his accomodating attitude after staying in other places that "left much to be desired". If you are considering renting this but aren't sure whether it will be nice....look no further it is beautiful!!!
Owner response:Thank you for the awesome review! Living as close as I do to this home it is really easy to accommodate ANY needs. As I ask everyone that stays with my if anything needs attention please let me know. Bringing you a new blender gave me a great excuse to come by and say hi. It is always nice to put a face with the people I rent to. Thanks again, Jim

I brought several girls to Baton Rouge to celebrate my daughter's 21st birthday and we had an awesome time staying in this house. It was immaculate and beautifully decorated. The bedding and pillows were so comfortable we wanted to bring them home (but we did not). There was every kind of seasoning in the cabinet, great dishes to use and top of the line cooking utensils. The owner was so accomodating to anything we needed. We would definately stay here again and I will reccommend it to anyone coming down to Baton Rouge. It is also near the Mall of Louisiana which was important to the ladies that were with me. We loved it!

Everything you could possibly imagine you might need was provided. My daughter attends LSU and we always stayed in hotels when visiting. Never again. The house was beautiful, immaculate, and spacious. It's even better than the photos. I really liked the patio out back too. We were able to bar-b-q and entertain our daughter and her friend which is impossible from a hotel room. We also were attending a wedding at one of the old plantations in Baton Rouge and the location to both the campus and River Road made is very conventient. Jim, the owner, was exceptionally helpful. Thanks Jim, We will be back!
