Cabin was spotless, great location
The place was spotless and so well organized. Everything and anything we needed was here. Super place! And very easy to get around to all the Parks, too. Thanks for a great vacation (every day being sunny and cool didn't hurt either - thanks for arranging that!). PS Wish we'd gotten to meet you when we live in E...

A Wonderful Escape
I am so thankful for the opportunity to come for the long weekend with my boys! It was a wonderful escape from our city life up North. We went to Zion and it was beautiful. We even did a little side trip into Arizona. Waking up to the beautiful sunrise each day had to be my favorite part of this entire trip - too bad it only happens once a day! :-) Thank you for everything.

Beautiful cabin, perfect location
Thanks for sharing your beautiful cabin with us. The location is perfect and we are working on our hiking skills. Two days in Bryce, and now we are off to two days in Zion. Since this time of year is "off season" we have had no problems getting into the Parks and some of the trails have few people on them. This is the perfect time of year to visit this beautiful area. Thank you again!

Only Complaint Is We Have to Leave!
We loved the cabin. Our only complaint is that we ahve to leave. This is our 5th year up here and this was teh best stocked cabin EVER! It was so nice to ahve proper wine/cocktail glassesand all the cooking pan/utensils we needed. The fireplace/woodstove was gorgeous, and used very littel wood because it is so efficient. Loved the bird feeders and extra seed - it brought lots of birds and chipmunks to look at. Our dog lost his mind most of the time because he knew the chipmunks were out there. The cabin is exactly the way we would have it, and if we don't buy our own, we will be back soon! Very cozy and comfortable.Love all the photos and art and the recliner sofas. I also appreciate no religious symbols. ;-) Love the lighting and ptiers. Our dogs loved this cabin and so did we! Thanks for the great cabin, and at a great rate!

Thank You - Great Adventures!
Thank you for sharing your cozy cabin with us! The weather was perfect. We hiked almsot every day. Bummer when the government shut down the National Parks, but we then headed into Escalante and had a couple of great adventures there. ;-) A MUST eatery there is the Escalante Outfitters. Their pizza was superb! Slot canyons and the Upper Calf Falls were amazing too. We love the area and all the natural beauty. It is a "little" different than the lakeshore of Michigan! Thank you again!

COZY, INTIMATE, QUIET HOME AWAY FROM HOME
COZY, INTIMATE, QUIET HOME AWAY FROM HOME
This is our 4th stay at this wonderful cabin. As a matter of fact my wife and I are here at the cabin this very moment as I write this, as we come up here for our anniversary every year now. Although we are not the owners of this very secluded, quiet and intimate cabin, we do refer to it as "our cabin" since this is now our home away from home. Jim and Jan, the owners of this cabin are always very cordial, caring and always call while we are up here to see if there is anything we might need. They take extremely good care of the cabin inside and out, in fact they recently put in new floors, carpet, new fireplace as well as made other improvements, although nothing was in need of replacement or repair to begin with. They just love to keep making improvements as just one additional step to making sure their guests are comfortable and enjoy their stay. Which we ALWAYS do. My wife Lisa and I highly recommend Cedar Hollow Cabin for a quiet, intimate, comfy get-away with lots of fresh air, deer that walk through the front, back and sides lots, the chipmunks, humming birds and other wildlife. When we are here we pay no attention to the clock, don't answer our cell phones and don't care about the outside world. We come here to get away from all the hum-drum yet frantic hustle and bustle of the city. And for that, Cedar Hollow Cabin is the PERFECT place. We absolutely LOVE it here. Owner response: John and Lisa, what a wonderful, gracious review! You two are wonderful guests, and we are thrilled that you have come to think of our cozy cabin as your own! It's great that we can be your "go to" place when you want to get away from everyday life and just relax. I am really glad that you like the improvements we've made to the cabin. We really try to make our cabin the best experience possible for folks who stay with us. It gives us a lot of joy to know that our guests love Cedar Hollow cabin as much as we do! Can't wait to welcome you back again next summer! Have a great year, until then!
Great first visit to Duck Creek
Great first visit to Duck Creek
This was my family's first time staying in Duck Creek, and our last vacation before the new baby arrives! We were very impressed with the well-stocked and cozy cabin - Jan has though of everything from cooking oil to ibuprofen. There's a great selection of movies and books in the cabin, and a nice supply of dry firewood inside and outside of the house. The location was also very convenient, we were just a few minutes from Duck Creek Village, Aspen Mirror Lake and Strawberry Point. My son especially enjoyed watching the antelope eating in the nearby meadow. We would definitely recommend this cabin for a short or long stay in Duck Creek. Thank you, Jan!

Owner response: Thank you, Shari, for such a nice commentary on our cabin. We are so pleased that you and your family had a great time in Duck Creek, and that our cabin was a good experience for you. It's a real treat for us to hear that guests found everything about their stay to be excellent. Good luck with the new little one, and I hope we'll get to have you back when you want to get away to the mountains again. And with the new famly member too, of course!
3rd year in a row and will be booking again for next year. The owners amaze me every year with upgrading their cabin, which already is so beautiful and well organized. They added new flooring throughout the cabin and added a new fireplace in the living room. We are actually going to come to Duck Creek more since we fell in love with the community. When we were here this year we sent to Cedar Breaks Monument where my 7 year old became a Junior Ranger. We saw the play Peter at the Utah Shakesphere Festival, we fished Aspen Mirror Lake, We rented a Pantoon at Bear Paw and fished a caught over 20 fish. We supported the local businesses by shopping at Rustic Comforts buying my bear stuff and gifts for Christmas presents. We ate at Pinewood Resorts and had a great dinner, ate at Hot Mama's pizza and ice cream shoppe, had a great breakfast at Aunt Sue's. We explored the area seeing deer, antelope, squirrels, chipmunks, many species of birds. Our best part was a trip out to the largest no-kill shelter called Best Friends Animal Santuary. One of the days I sent my husband and daughter fishing for the day and I just relaxed reading a book on the wrap around deck watching the birds and chipmunks feed. The owners have a great library of tourist books in their cabin so we spent some time reading for new adventures. You will not be disapointed at all staying here.

Owner response: Thanks for the really nice review! We love repeat guests - you guys are getting almost like family! And how nice of you to notice that we try to do some sort of upgrade to the cabin every year. I'm really glad to hear it when guests find our place as comfortable and welcoming as we try to make it. We think Cedar Hollow cabin, and Strawberry Valley, are really special places. You are so right, there is never an end to things to do and places to explore all around Duck Creek. I think it's so cool to have family vacation traditions like coming back to a special place each year, and we are really honorewd that you guys have made our cabin your special tradition. We can't wait to welcome your family back again next year!
