Location: Tankah, Quintana Roo, Yucatan, Mayan Riviera, Mexico (1.5 hours South of Cancun Airport in Mayan Riviera at Km 237)

CASA MAR Y SOL is on the quiet north end of Tankah Tres Bay. Come enjoy the Mayan Riviera in your own luxury private villa. Stargaze and watch sunsets in the roof top observation tower and bar. The living area is all on the first floor with no stairs to climb. Two huge bedrooms are at opposite ends of the villa for privacy with the great room between, both with a king-size bed (one with an additional standard sofabed), both have private full baths and open directly to a terrace and the beach. Water views from every room.

Between the villa and beach is the new 30,000 L. pool with two palm tree islands with swim-up bar and six stools between them. Three large underwater observation windows to see the swimmers. Easy access with inwater steps and hand rail. Fly fish or snorkel right in front with the reef an easy swim. The villa has "green" cooling with foot thick foam in the ceilings and large overhanging roofs to keep all rooms shaded and 15 degrees cooler than outside. Windows and sliders all have tinted glass for privacy are cooling. The windows have attractive security grills and are left open so one can enjoy the fresh sea breezes and hear the breakers on the reef. A wood fired oven is for those that want to bake some bread or pizza. Also there is a barbecue, outdoor shower and sink.

A fully-equipped kitchen will be a delight for any chef. Bedrooms have lockable closets and there is a full time watchman/handyman for your security. On the beach is a huge palapa for shade and beach dining up to eight. Catering can be arranged. A large fresh water cenote with an underground cave to the ocean is just steps away and a very cool refreshing place to swim and snorkel. The reef is a safe and easy swim from our beach and is teeming with tropical fish, beautiful varieties of coral and sea plants.

  • Absolutely beautiful! We were already settled in after our first day. The palapa was our favorite place - to either sit and look at the water or enjoy our meals. It is the perfect house for a family as we could read or swim and still have some shady areas to escape those dreadful perfect sunny days!
